Practice Birthday Party!

We had Mum and Dad here this afternoon. I was at Big W, getting some photos printed (I can print them bigger so yay, and I did!), Mum rang to say they were on their way and to buy a cake. So I got home, they arrived just after, and we had a birthday party. Mum has to work Tuesday night so they came today. The icing stuck to the top of the lid so the cake looks a little munted ;)
After that Megan and Jessica went a little feral performing for everyone and that took up the afternoon.

Busy around home type of day

Got to have a little lie in this morning, with everyone coming in and at some point I had everyone in or on the bed, it wasn't lonley!!
Went and did the 'things I didn't get the first time' grovery shopping. Found a DYMO labeling machine reduced from $40 to $15, so I bought it!! Was something I was hoping to get some time in the future but I didn't like to walk past at that price!!
Dave and Megan spent some of the morning play fighting, this is how it usually ends!
Dave left for soccer after lunch (score was 2-1 and I did write it down hehehe) and Dave played a good game so was very happy with the match success.
Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth watched "James and the Giant Peach" this arvo. Wasn't as good as the book but was worth watching.
Today is Elizabeth's second day of having dry pants YAY. She only goes when prompted and there is no way she will do a No. 2, but we haven't had to deal with that one today, just 2 yesterday!!! Told her that if she can have dry pants at bedtime tomorrow she can have a surprise for having 3 days in a row... might be a big week for her! Last night I finished the layout of Jessica and Elizabeth. Also had to add page refills and rearrange my album. Have filled 1 album, which will become Jessica's when I get some new ones. So this layout is the first for the family album. Megan already has her own which is about half full I think. Not bad for almost 9 months work :)

Day out

We spent the day at Allison's today. THANK YOU AGAIN ALLISON!!
I know that Jessica, Elizabeth and Lucy appreciated the time at her place as much as I did.
I got to see Allison's lovely layout of Elizabeth as well as the one of Lucy, fantastic work!!
Not much else to share, Dave has soccer tomorrow and I started a layout of Jessica and Elizabeth burping :) So that will be my first layout for the 'family album'.

Put it in writing Darling ;)

I only write the scores I hear so I think, Dave, you will need to make sure I have an accurate understanding of your performance. That way I can let those who care know :)
Ok, domestic duties out of the way, back to my blog hehehe
Today was less busy than yesterday, with only grocery shopping interrupting the normal school run around. Dave is currently at soccer training.
Megan has found Paul Jennings books, so at the moment we are reading Unmentionable. Tonight we read 'Ice Maiden'. Megan thought it funny when I read about kissing and the likes!!
Liking Big Brother, so far its all friendship building rather than the tackiness and I love the insider. Hope he has a task every day, keep him on his toes. Down side is that I would be voting him out but because he has this role he is more likely to stay.
Grandma, we received Elizabeth's B'day pressy yesterday, Thank you. Its now hiding with our present, only 5 sleeps ;)

Busy day got busier

But if I had used my remembering head I would have known that!
Dave left at 7.15 to head up to Launceston, he just got home now, 6.30pm. I also forgot that Megan was starting an after school sports program, so I left Jessica at Hungry Jacks, at the b'day party, and went to school to wait for Megan. As she came out I was informed that it was starting today, so left her at 3.15 to go back and get Jessica and then back to Megan, who finished at 4. They both enjoyed their afternoon activities and when we went back to Megan both Jessica and Elizabeth joined in the game of t-ball.
There was lots of fog around this morning, so the day started out cold but turned out lovely by the end, cold again now though!!
Had a thing on the news about Port Arthur and that it was 10 years since the massacre. Can't believe it has been that long. I still remember so many details about the day and then afterwards and am still shocked as to how much it has affected me. I still get upset thinking about it and will be thinking of those I know on Friday. Visiting Port Arthur 18 months ago was tough and reading thru the names on the plaques was very emotional for me, seeing the names of those I knew and then other names of people whose stories I am now familiar with. Is a time of reflection, again, and a time to remember all those lives lost in such circumstances.

Moore Day

We had the Moores here today, for BBQ lunch. Was a lovely day, weather and company wise.
The girls all played together beautifully. Photos below :) They were playing hide and seek.

Last night I completed a layout of Jessica. It took me only 2 hours and that was while I was watching telly, so I am impressed that it all came together so easily. Had fun with making it.

We watched a little of the ANZAC parade on tv this morning. The concept of it all is still a little hard for the kids to get, even with known people in or ex-service. Megan and Jessica, to a point, understand that it has something to do with war but only think its about those who died rather than those that survived and those that continue to protect us daily. A time to remember and reflect, a time to be thankful for those who have gone before to help shape our nation and our world.

Back to school for Megan and Jessica tomorrow. The Easter break has felt like 'real' school holidays, rather than a break. They have been busy but we have also had some lovely at home time together, its been great having Dave home too! They have loved that part. So back to normality tomorrow, and with a shock as we will be busy. After picking Jessica up at lunchtime she has a birthday party to go to at 2pm. So will drop her off before heading to school to pick up Megan and then back to get Jessica. Roll on June holidays says I!! Not long I spose!

Holiday day for Dave

and it was a nice day too. We got a bit done around home as well as lots of playtime.
Dave mowed the lawn and hammered some nails in, so we now have a photo wall. He also spent part of the day playing hats with Lucy. I was in the toilet with Elizabeth, sitting on the floor and waiting was I, and in toddled Lucy with a hat on. Dave called her back and put another one on, she would come back to show me each one, little model she is!! By the time I got the camera she had had enough so I didn't get to photograph it all!
Elizabeth had a day of toilet sitting, she refused to do her poo right up till bathtime tonight. She would start to go and by the time we had rushed her to the loo she wouldn't do it. She has another tattoo though, for her lovely wee, but also wet over lots of dressups, where she just didn't think :( Oh well we will get there! She is lots harder than the other 2 as she is soooo stubborn and just refuses to sit on the toilet.
Dave and the 3 older ones found a cricket near the clothesline so that was a highlight for them. Megan loved having a hold but didn't want it crawling past her shoulder.
Jessica spent most of the day with dressups on, she loves to be a princess, lovely pink number she wears is ummmm delightful ;)
Had inside info into BB lastnight, knew about 'the relationship' so looking forward to watching more and hope they get thru the week and beyond. Don't like the surfie guy or the surfie chick though. Can't wait to see what Big Brother does to them all and LOVE that they lost 15,000 straight away!!

Big Brother 2006 STARTS TONIGHT!!!

We went out and invested in the cheapest set top box we could find ($79) today. So we are all set up for the start of BB6. Sadly I can't wait. Hearing all the talk about it is great too, looks like it might be a good one, here's hoping!!!!
My Friend Allison has also completed a lovely layout of Lucy, head over and check it out, her blog is on the side of mine. WOW Allison, great layout and very cute subject ;)
Will post this and put on some photos I took today of Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth playing.
only an hour to go!

Yet another finished!

Finished this layout of Elizabeth last night, loooove it!
The 'baby' background and the frames are in a brown velvet that feels sooo nice and were easy to work with. Love the swirls of the pattern, reminded me of a coffee cup.
Impressed that the photos, from my mobile, turned out so well. Love the drink dripping down her chin, typical shot lol.
Well today Megan and Jessica looked soooo tired, I put them back to bed for awhile this morning. They didn't sleep, no surprises there!, but they stayed so the rest must have helped as they got through the rest of the day ok.
We went to the hardware store this morning, to buy replacement bulbs for the lights that had blown, home for Lunch and then at 1 Dave left for soccer and we followed him out the door.
We spent the afternoon at Allison's sisters house. The girls loved playing with Allisons nephews and Lucy loved the extra cuddles she received from everyone. I took some photos of Megan (when she was 2) helping Dave wash the car. Nice to see them scrapped so I don't have to put them in a photo album... just the thousand other photos I have there waiting for me to do!
Home again to put tea on and eat when Dave got home (score was 4-4). After tea, not sure why and probably worth not knowing why, we were discussing what wiggle songs I knew... must say I know a few but not well!! Anyway ended up being my usual silly self, making the girls smile is good enough for me!! Even Lucy was bopping along to my singing, so it couldn't have been a painful experience!!!

then there were six

And yay to that! Got my girls back :)
Jessica quote at teatime
"Mummy, Lucy's zero because she's one..."
Went to MOPS this morning (Mothers Of PreSchoolers) and had a lovely time. Yummo coffee, pumpkin soup and mud cake for morning tea. Quote from the morning, which is very deep and yet SOOOO true
"You can count the number of pips in an apple but you can't count the number of apples in a pip"
Love that!!
Left there early cos I just wanted to get my girlys. Had lunch with Mum and Dad before heading home via Allisons, again. Was a nice time at her place, lots of busy-ness, and it sure made my afternoon easier. Megan and Jessica (more M than J) were mega tired so a little crabby, cranky and some other likeminded c word that I just can't think of!
So a load of washing, tea and baths later I can sit and sigh and know they are all wrapped up in zzzzz time and be glad that they are all home again. I think Lucy missed them lots, or at least the noise they made. She has wandered around the house trying to catch them and making lots of noise just to keep up with them!
Am off to a Creative Memorys party tomorrow (Thanks Rose for thinking of me and Allison for passing on the invite) am looking forward to seeing what techniques are taught and then sitting back and reflecting on how much I have picked up or been shown by tutor Allison :) No idea what photos to take so will have to go thru them and see what I don't have plans for already.
Started my layout of Elizabeth last night, while Dave was at soccer training. He walked in and the first thing he said was that he like it. I asked what he liked and he said the colours, so I am really happy! He hasn't said that about any before, its great to get positive feedback before its complete, thanks Davie Babes :0)xxxx Its another layout I am excited about and using different things makes it even more exciting. Love to get my hands into it hehe Look forward to sharing it with you once i've finished it.

Another layout finished

Finished my layout of Megan last night, love it!!! Am really pleased with the end result and hope to do an equally nice job on the one I have ready to go of Elizabeth.
We had a load of shredded tree delivered this morning. The guys had removed trees for Dave's work so Dave and another guy shared the leftovers (so to speak!). Dave came home at lunchtime and spent well over an hour carting it around the garden. He's at soccer training at the moment so he is going to be a sore and tired boy after that!!
Spent part of the day pretending to be the tickle monster and chasing Elizabeth and Lucy around the house. Love the way Elizabeth laughs even when your not touching her, she is a crack up! Will be glad to have my girls back home tomorrow, unless they decide to stay longer, miss them lots!

I miss my girls *sigh*, its too quiet!
Spent the morning being busy. Elizabeth, Lucy and I went to the library to return and check out some books. Then we went to the post office and then we went to Maccas. Elizabeth had her first 'big girl coffee', AKA babychino, and a smarty-filled biscuit. She loved being big!

Home via the fruit shop, so we had vegies for tea, and just in time for lunch. Lucy spent the day climbing in and out of a nappy box. She is such a dare devil, loves to climb on and into ANYTHING!!

Just spoke to Megan and Jessica on the mobile. They were standing on the beach in the dark, is the only place where the mobile will work down there. Megan was upset as Uncle Niall was being mean to her. Poor tyke sounded tired. Jessica said she caught 2 flathead, so they have been busy girls. Roll on Friday :)

Not much else here... Silverside and roast veg for tea, Elizabeth gagging on the pumpkin, Elizabeth did wees on the toilet for me today and got a shrek tattoo on her belly and I just paid for our heatpump (thanks Mum for lending us the cash!).

Lucy's first cheeseburger!!

Well the lads finished their computering at about 1.30 this morning. Lucy, Elizabeth and Jessica where awake then too! I went to bed around 11.30pm and all 3 were awake, to some description, Elizabth and Lucy were talking to each other, so it was a surprise that they were awake at 6.30 this morning. Ok so it wasn't a surprise, wishful thinking perhaps!!! Dave left for work at 7.30am, I was still in the shower, so it has been a rather long day!
I started the layout of Megan. Not sure how I will finish it off. I have several ideas and seeing as one of those involves things I don't have I will go with the other idea lol Was nice to see it al come together quickly! Grrr that Cold Case was a repeat!!! CSI's are again tonight too! I swear they are just messing with my head!! Oh well just as well the Bill is on lol No I am not obsessed with my telly viewing but how dare they keep showing reruns!! hehehehe
Wendy came to visit us today. The girls got a little carried away and Megan was show-offy in a hypo way! Was nice to have her come visit now we are closer to her.
Mum rang this morning and invited Megan and Jessica to the shack for a couple of days, so thats where they are. I took them there after Lucy's sleep this afternoon and we called in for a quick visit to Allisons on the way home. Elizabeth didn't want to visit but when we got there she didn't want to get back in her seat. We only parked outside and Allison came out. I thought Elizabeth was going to pat Ebony (their cat) but instead she wondered inside! She is getting braver, my big, brave Elizabeth!!
Dave and Elizabeth set out to find us something for tea. They returned with 'chippies' ,which Elizabeth is now saying as CHIPPIES loud and clear. Dave asked her what she wanted for tea and she said rice! Dave said that when they drover off he asked her again and she replied "pizza hut" Dave said "why?" she said "because I love pizza hut". So not sure where she picked that one up from, but guessing Pizza queen Megan!
Dave bought a burger for Lucy so she has now been fully initiated into the Kruijver Chippie Clan! She had her foot up, above the high chair tray, at one stage. So she must have enjoyed it!!
Elizabeth enjoyed her HUGE banjo's blueberry muffin for dessert. Didn't know where to put her mouth!!
Oh and the heat pump has been running all day. 100x better than the old one and I think I like it more than the one at the old house (don't tell Mum and Dad I said that!!!).
PS Mum and Dad aren't getting broadband, they had an email saying they can't... Telstra don't like them enough lol na they still aren't in a broadband area etc.
Night :)

New heat pumps in!

Can highly recommend the people who installed it. Lovely fellas and to take half a morning to remove the old and install the new I am impressed!
Forgot to mention yesterday that it was Lucy's head hurting day!! Yep it continued! she hit hers on the kitchen tiles and has a nice little bruise there today! Hopefully thats the end of that!
Dave has his mates coming over tonight for their LAN, just as well I've got some things on telly to watch! Yay for Cold Case's new time slot!! Also have some photos of Megan ready to scrap, so i'm set for a late night too!!
Because the new heat pump is in and up on the wall we now have floor space which meant that the books could be unpacked and the bookcases out up. Yay, no more boxes!!! So its just the garden shed and garage that need sorting but the house is DONE!! 2 and a half months! Is hard to think that it was only December when this house was put on the market and we put in the offer.
Ok Dave's friends are here now so the mayhem has started, i'm off to put the jug on and watch the little boys play with their toys ;)

Bunnys been!

Look what he left us! 2 eggs in each bowl and then eggs around the lounge room and kitchen and then Grandma's rabbits waiting on the kitchen bench, thanks again Grandma. What a lot of chocolate and it only got worse!!
The girls devoured away before breakfast, even Lucy polished off an egg. Mrs Swift had an egg for each of us too. We went to Mum and Dad's for tea and they were each given another rabbit and then when we got home tonight we found a HUGE basket of Easter treats from the Moores (thanks for visiting, you can now ring for your next visit so we CAN be home!!! lol)
Did some gardening this arvo. Pulled out some tomato plants that were finished, dug some artichokes, planted some leek, lettuce and carrot seed and dug over some other bits ready to plant something. Love seeing things grow and its even better when the end result is something yummy!!!
Have to share these HILARIOUS photos of Elizabeth, Dave was getting her ready for bed and her tshirt got stuck on her head, I hope you find them as humorous as we did!!

Evil aren't we!!!!

Also took some (nice)photos of Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth today.

Sweet dreams :)

In the garden with Miss E

I am still in shock that I finished a whole layout last night!!! That is the first time!! Is all Dave's fault he said 'just do it' (in his usual helpful style) well I did!!! Am really happy with the end result! Thanks Dave!

It was great to have Allison come over. She was mauled by the girls and Megan was VERY excited to stay up and scrap. She loved seeing all of Allisons things (hmmm sounds like me!) and did a really good job, completing 2 pages for her album. We had a lovely roast chook dinner, which disappeared rather quickly. I was really tired by the time I started to scrap and I lacked the drive to do anything. In the end I didn't use what I had there to use and instead came up with this lovely layout that I am really pleased with. When it looked like I wouldn't get anything done I ended up completing it!! Shows what a change of idea can do!

Back to the rest of yesterday... Mum, Dad, Niall and Fiona came for lunch. The girls were VERY hyped and spent most of the time sitting on or picking on Uncle Niall. Was a nice time with them all.

So that was last night... ummm today WET! Dave played soccer, which they won 6-1! The girls and I watched Ice Age. Loved the very last scene where the poor squirrel was stuck in the icecube!! Allison inspired me and this morning I did a tidy of my ribbons, no longer one big mass but a nice clump!!

Today it was Elizabeth's turn to have a head hurting day. She bumped it on the wooden part of the couch. She cried like it was VERY painful but I couldn't feel anything. 5 minutes later I could! A huge bump on the side of the back of her head OUCH. She was good and let me put ice on it for awhile but its still a nice size bump!

Well, the bowls are on the table, waiting for Easter Bunny to put some eggs in. I hope he comes to you all too!!

Yay its holidays!!

Looking forward to the break. My youngest brother and his partner are home from Darwin, bet they are enjoying the snow on the mountain lol. Dave is working Tuesday but having the following Monday off instead, making that a longer weekend then with ANZAC day.
Allison is coming tomorrow night and all being well Megan and I will enjoy some scrapping time with her. Dave has some friends coming Monday night for a LAN so we will be making the most of the 'girly' time tomorrow night.
Is meant to be a cold and wet weekend so I am REALLY looking forward to having our new heat pump on Monday!
Megan has had a head bumping day. She was pushed, part of a game they were playing at school, and hit her head on the corner of a brick wall *ouch*. The acting principal rang me just to let me know about it but Megan didn't want to come home, Easter bunny hadn't been yet. I clobbered her with my elbow at tea time and she just told me that she hit her head on the bunk and doesn't want any more bumps THANK YOU!!!
Apart from the bumps she has had a really good day. Lots of Easter eggs and then when she got home there was a letter from her old school. There was a lovely letter from one of her teachers and all the (now) grade 2s had written something. She was very excited to read them all.
Jessica did an Easter bunny search today too and when they got back to their class room they found he had been there while they were out. I love the way that both of them shared their eggs with Lucy and Elizabeth, is really nice to see! They both made baskets and Megan gave me hers to take next door to say thanks for thinking of me, with the clothes. Don't worry I didn't use Megan's eggs, just her basket and raided my stash to fill it with!
Dave came home for a little bit (just for a coffee and a kiss, me thinks!) before heading out to soccer training. Having Daddy come home is exciting and I love watching each of the girls get excited as he drives in or comes thru the door.
Lucy had a spin on her 'quadbike' this arvo, I ran around after her taking photos (half of which I usually cut off her head or something!), so just had to share this piccy with you :)

And to everyone have a lovely Good Friday tomorrow!!
