Phew and what a Friday it has been :)

Dave got home around 9 last night, so after eating tea and watching a little Law and Order on Austar, we finally went to bed around 10.30.
This morning we went to visit Allison. When we were getting out of the car I noticed some gunk in Lucy's right eye. We now have a Drs appointment tomorrow, in case it is conjunctivitis (sp?!), but am glad we made the appointment cos just before tea she had a temp but her eye seems to have cleared up some.
We got home about 12.30 from Allison's, we left earlier than planned cos of the eye, and got busy with the washing etc that was left waiting for us :)
Dave came home early, around 2.30, so we all went to pick Megan up, via the post office to get my package from Tarisota. Love the pack and am thankful to have it :) Amanda also called in this arvo with my ink pad, purchased from Stampin' up demonstration, and the stamps I bought should be here late next week or the one after.
Have just been through all my photos and now have a CD to take and get photos developed and am printing some off now. Getting ready for retreat and scrapping tomorrow night at Josianes.
Getting my haircut tomorrow morning and splashing out and getting an eyebrow shape and lash tint!! So when I blog again I will be less hairy and you will be able to see my lashes when I flutter them HA! Enjoy your weekend, Dave and I are about to go to the movies, ie: pull the couch in front of the telly to watch a video! He bought me home some cheeses from the Lactos factory in Burnie, that's where they went for morning tea yesterday.
Night :)

We had fun playing with Ben today, he still thinks Elizabeth is a chatterbox and i'm not sure what he thought of his day, with an afternoon full of playing Mums and Dads, hairdressers and dinosaurs!
not much else to tell about the day, been busy though :)

Finally...

I started this layout on Monday night, and now I have finished it!! It is my first 11x8.5 and I didn't find it any easier!! My plan is to have an album that size of, and for, Dave and I. This layout has been in my head since Saturday, when I got my new shoes, so I am happy to have scrapped it, happy to have finished my first A4 and happy to have something to put in OUR album (when I get around to buying one of those!!).

Anyway I just got back on to share this with you, I think its pretty good! Am now off to bed to read for a while :) Night *hugs*

I know it's Wednesday, but...

I keep thinking tomorrow is Friday! Wishful thinking!!!
Another busy day, grocery shopping this morning, fruit and veg shop after getting Megan and Dave should be close to Burnie by now.
Tomorrow we are looking after Ben again, Erica is working. So tomorrow is shaping up to be another full day and Friday I am aiming to go visit Allison for the day.
Allison rang this afternoon with the news that Josiane is also going to retreat, so it looks like it will be a funtime from woe to go!!! Only 9 sleeps!!

Back to school

Was a busy day, as figured! I think both girls enjoyed being back at school, even though they both said they missed me!! Awwww lol
Tarisota are having their 1st Birthday sale, Happy birthday! Great prices and lovely LOVELY stuff!! I got permission before I bought one of their treasure boxes, can't wait to see what I get!! I bought their very first pack and have drooled over the rest ever since!
Finally got my photos back today. A lot of disappointing shots but some gems amongst them. Can't wait to get those enlarged and ready to scrap.
Dave is off to Burnie tomorrow and working up there till Thursday night. He will be doing that again in a couple of weeks too.
Can't think of much more so a hug to each of you, nite

Busy last day of school holidays

Well.... Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth had picked up a colour in competition while we were shopping on Saturday so today we dropped them in, today was the closing day. From there we went out to Claremont to visit the scrap shop out there. The people who own it also run a photo shop inside and I was pleased to see that they had the facilities to process my films and put it onto CD too. When I went to the Kodak photo shop on Saturday they didn't have the machine to do it, and I was told I would have to go into town as everywhere else was just as incapable. So I rang the scrap shop and yipee I pick the photos and CD up tomorrow!! Glad I found out about the service they provide out there, is so much easier than trying to get a park in town and having to take the kids with me. YAY!
From there we came home for morning tea, then out to KMart to get some paper and ink for my printer and then we bought some pizzas and took them to have lunch with Dave.
The rest of the afternoon was home based :)
I finished this layout of Megan last night and hoping to complete another layout tonight, it's been bugging me so I need to scrap it :)
Tomorrow is going to be a busy start to the 3rd term. Have a literacy meeting at 9, after we drop Megan and Jessica off, and then pick up my photos before heading back to pick up Jessica... Straight back into it!! Hope your week has started out with a smile. Night!

Be in it and win it!!

Come one, come all.... This week will mark my 1000th 'visit', since I put a counter on my blog (which was a couple of months into blogging). I think that is worth celebrating so.... The first 5 people to leave a comment on this post will have their name put into the hat and the winner will win an appropriate prize, ie: if Grandma wins it would be a chocolate type of prize, Dave would get a kiss, Allison would have to receive a scrap prize etc. So get commenting, hoping to see some comments from those lurking out there, and I know your there! :)
So whats been happening over the weekend???? Yesterday we went to get some milk etc, ended up with some more clothes bargains!! I found these WONDERFUL shoes and they were less than eight bucks!!! Who would have thought!! Love them and wore them today!! Big wedge heels, so thats a LOT different to my usual 'lower' shoes!! Oh and the bows ;)
Then in the afternoon I went to a "Stamping- Up" party. Stamping up have only been in Australia since April, so I am told, and so far only have 3 demonstraters in Tassie, so feel very fortunate to have a friend now demonstarting/selling. Had a fun time and can't wait for my new purchases to come, hopefully by the end of the week!!! I also have a catalogue now, if anyone would like a looksee and order something please let me know!!!
Last night Dave and I just veged in front of the telly, which reminds me to tell you we did watch Cinderella Man on Friday night. Great movie! We pulled the couch out in front of the telly and did the 'going to the movies' thing! Today we all watched The Polar Express. Another great movie! Have to remember to take the DVDs back tomorrow!! Most schools go back tomorrow but ours has a student free day so Megan and Jessica go back on Tuesday.
I started a layout of Megan last night too. Its almost finished, just have to add some journaling as I had to wait for the paint to dry in that spot. So hope to share that with you tomorrow night :) Till then, get typing those comments :) Look forward to giving someone a pressy!

A noisy, crazy, inside type of day

Well we woke this morning with the guy on the radio telling us to expect winds of up to 125km per hour... so at 6.30am I was outside putting all the 'wind- floatable' things in the garden shed. We also declined 2 invitations to go visiting, one to Allison's and the other to Kanina's. Jessica has had a few of the symptoms of this viral infection, so didn't want anyone else to catch it. The weather meant another day inside, which was fine apart from the zany antics of our daughters!! So we have done lots of many things and when they weren't being entratained they were trying to entertain!! Here is a photo of what Megan and Jessica enjoyed doing the most today, hanging upside down over the arm of the chair!!
Dave and I watched 'Around the World in 40 days' last night, enjoyed it even though I was close to sleep!! Hoping to watch 'Cinderella Man' tonight.

Tooth Fairy set to visit

Well its 7pm and Megan just pulled out her 6th loose tooth. It has been a longtime since the fairy visited but I am glad it has been awhile. Megan came flying out of her room and I thought something terrible had happened. She was laughing, giggling and carrying on in hysterics. So excited that she had pulled it out.
Dave came home for lunch again, gee I love that!!!
These are the two highlights of the day :) Been a long day, very cold and windy, so hoping to go to the park tomorrow to let this girls get rid of their ferrals!!

A sniff of spring...

and i've gone mad! Lots of cleaning done again today. A box that has been sitting here, since we moved, full of different stuff, finally got emptied today!! So since Saturday, when my cleaning frenzy started, I have cleaned the bench in the kitchen, the top of the filing cabinet in our room, and this box. Well it has been a mega chore and I am glad its finished!! Everything needed homes, thats why the job was put off, and apart from the pile that has grown behond Dave's computer (shhhh don't tell him cos he hasn't seen beack there yet!) everything is away!
Not much else..... I finally put all the paper in my tab album, that I made last week, and have thought of what I will do with it. So now to print out some photos, ink low so won't be too soon, and then think of how i want to do the journaling and thats done too. Hope to get it done prior to retreat, which is only 16 sleeps away, eck!!!

Bron, Baking and Breakages

Yet another busy day here!!! Only a week of school holidays left BOO HOO.
This morning we did some baking. Made some pumpkin muffins

and some choc chip cookies.
Megan dropped the glass jar, with the unused choc chips, and it smashed all over the floor. I was stuck in the corner of the kitchen in my bare feet. She had her shoes on so she had to run around and get the vacuum out for me and then find me some shoes! We then made some curried egg for our sandwiches, excuse the photo but I loved the swirls!! Dave came home for lunch so that was really nice!
This afternoon we had a phone call from Bron. She is back from Fiji and is on 2 weeks holiday in Queensland. She sounded very happy and I can't wait to catch up with all her news. Thanks for the call Bron!! Dad also rang tonight, is in Townsville for a couple of days before heading back down. So he is hoping to be home in a fortnight or so.
Finally I finished this layout of Lucy. I started it with plans for different photos but it just wasn't working so then I had a brainwave and used it with this photo and quite like it :) The journaling says "I thought you looked just like a Jelly Bean all rugged up in your hat and jacket". Hope you like it to, thanks for passing by and dropping in.

Billie Better and a busy day

Apart from the rash Elizabeth is back to her usual jolly self, and keeping her food in!!! So today I ventured out with the girls to the library, Big W, Chickenfeed, Woolworths, the chemist and the video shop. Megan and Jessica were given, as were all the kids at school, a card, that they can use at Video Ezy, to get a free weekly movie. So we went and got one today, along with 7 other weekly dvds. So Dave and I have a few to watch, including Jackie Chan's Around the World in 80 days and the Cinderella Man, and the girls have a couple of good ones, Racing Stripes and The Polar Express. Looking forward to watching them.
Jessica finally has a computer in her room. So Megan and Jessica got to play on theirs this afternoon. They both love playing on their computers.
Dave made golden syrup dumplings for our pudding and I had made chicken rissoles for tea, so I am feeling very full STILL! Both were very yummo :)

Hmmmm, a blog all about Elizabeth... almost

Finished this layout of Elizabeth last night. Took me about an hour and a half, so happy with that!!!
Yesterday she came up with the same fine rash that Lucy had. So today has been a day around home. This afternoon Elizabeth has been running a temp and about 3 this arvo she was sitting on my lap and vomitted up lunch. Yuck! Hopefully its just from the temperature and there isn't anymore.
Thats about it :) Will leave you with a photo that tells you one of the things we did today.

Sunny Saturday and a purple type of blog!

Yay to me ;) I finished this layout of Megan last night. I took the photos yesterday so am really pleased with myself for completing it all in the one day!!! As predicted she wasn't too keen on the whole top bunk bit and is still not 100% about it. But we will get there.

Today Megan went to a birthday party, but we got a phone call to come pick her up early, she had one of her bellyaches. Will be glad to get to the cause of those tummy aches! It was fancy dress party so Megan dressed in her clown costume, she had a funtime even with a sore belly.
The rest of our day has been full of cleaning around the house and Dave mowed the lawn. Got to love spring!! We have just had a lovely roast lamb meal and have apple pie for pudding!

Another busy blog update

These clocks are sure to complain soon, but going back in time again...
Yesterday we did a spot of grocery shopping in the morning and in the arvo (after Lucy AND I had a nap) we went up to the park. Photos are of Jessica doing a spot of hill rolling, Daddy and his girls as we walked around the dam, Megan tired from the walk, Elizabeth at the top of the slide and Lucy at the bottom.
Last night I went to Scrapilicious, to my first ever scrap class. I learnt and made a tab style album. I have yet to finish it so you will just have to keep checking back for when I do! It was a great class and thanks to Mel for running it and to Mel and Sarah for making the classes possible!
Today we went out to Claremont to check out the scrap shop out there. HUGE! It has loads of sunny floor space but lacked in the up-to-date stock department, didn't stop me buying things though! While we were out I bought Megan and Jessica some Art Attack magazines. I left Dave and the girls at home, after lunch, and took Lucy to the Dr. She has had a fine rash all over her for a couple of days and just wanted it checked out. It turned out to be a viral infection so we just wait :) Anyways, came home to find the girls had been busy getting Dave busy, thanks to the inspiring Art Attack magazines. They had made a TV, pantry and a fridge and had great time using them!!
The rest of the day was busy and my baby girl no longer sleeps in a cot and my big baby girl doesn't sleep on the bottom bunk anymore :( Lucy settled right into her bed, yet to hear from her, whereas Megan has been out quite a few times and I can see that she might want to swap back in the morning!! Climbing in and out that many times might just be enough for her to see that the bottom bunk isn't such a bad place to sleep after all!!!
So thats me up to date again :) Hope the weekend is a lovely one for you all and thanks for visiting ;)

Busy few days!!!

Rolling back the clock...
Saturday morning we went to the Model Train show, was the usual crowd with their usual layouts so not overly inspiring. But there must have been just enough inspiration, because when we got home the girls asked to get their Thomas sets out (they have 1 each apart from Lucy but I heard that Santa has one on the way for her). So, as you can see in the photos below, they did and had fun!
Saturday night I went in to Scrapilicious for their Pizza/scrap night. Had a fun night and I completed 2 layouts!!! Photos are above.
Sunday morning we headed off on our 'Roadtrip to pick up Grandma', photos of the trip and Grandma are also below. We took the long way round to get there... We went via Waddamana, to see the power station so the girls had a little more of an idea of what Daddy does for work. Called into Poatina and then on to Launceston, where we stayed the night. Monday morning we did some shopping in Launceston, called into a scrap shop in the CBD and was really disappointed as they didn't have much stock. We then picked up Grandma, from Dave's Grandparents place and headed home. Had lunch at Ross, bought some pies and sausages rolls from the bakery and ate them near the bridge before playing in the playground. Got home around 3 or 4 and then Uncle Samuel and Louise came for tea. After the girls had gone to bed we played Singstar, was a laugh!! Tuesday morning we headed into town for some more shopping. Back home for lunch and after Lucy's sleep we did a little more shopping! We found some good bargains too. Jessica got some tracky dacks for $5, I got a pair of pants for $7, a skirt for $10, I also got a necklace for $8 and picked up another pair of jeans and a top (the top was half price in a sale cos I got the jeans too).
This morning we took Grandma to the airport, goodbyes are sad, then home again. Rang the Dr to get an appointment for Megan, bellyaches are continuing, and got in straight away. So Megan and I jumped back in the car. Have been referred to see the pediatrician who will hopefully have a few answers or at least start the ball rolling to find out whats going on. Also got a letter in todays mail to say Elizabeth in on the waiting list for a speech therapy appointment, which could take up to 10 weeks, so we are waiting that one out too. This afternoon has been full of washing, enjoying the beautiful day, games, drawing, hanging out etc etc etc... just lovely :)
Tomorrow we need to go to the vegie shop and groceries and tomorrow night I am off for my first ever class at Scrapilicious. Learning how to make a tab book, not quite sure if thats what they are called so hope you know what I mean, but will show you what I have made after I make it!!! A little over 3 weeks to go till the Scrapilicious retreat! Yikes :)
