The busy-ness has only just begun!

Phew what a busy day and tomorrow is looking busier lol

Well, Mr Hurly did stay away and I hope he stays that away!! Don't like sick kids!

Today was full on FLAT OUT. Dropping Megan and Jessica off at school before hitting the fruit shop then groceries. ICK. Not long home before it was lunch time and then went to a friends, who had called to say she had been given an excess of bread rolls so I helped her out lol then straight from there to playgroup. When that finished we said Hi to Megan and Jessica before taking their school stuff and leaving them for after school dance. Home for a half hour, waited for Dave to get home and then back to school for Parent/Teacher. Jessica was first cab off the rank and it was nothing but glowing!! She is reading, writing... just being better than expected and doing so very, very well. Megan was next and as expected it was mostly about how Megan rushes, doesn't take care with her work and needs to be concerned with her own things not other people's business... Which is just Megan to a tee lol and has been said every year and she knows it. Apart from that Megan is doing really well, which was good to hear.

On a different note, I scrapped last night. The first layout I thought I would be clever and journal upside down, as that's the theme of the layout lol, so I have included a 2nd photo of it 'upside down' so you can see the journaling without hurting your neck lol

This second one is of Elizabeth and Lucy. Photos taken yesterday. The sun was wonderful and Lucy had gone outside without her shoes and socks on so Elizabeth thought cool and took hers off too! Reminded me of a time when I NEVER wore shoes and socks! Bare foot everywhere... nowadays I have my shoes on till the girls go to bed...

Tomorrow morning I'm off to the hospital with Megan, to see her Dr and hopefully find out the results of her poo sample. I don't think they would have found anything though. Tomorrow night Megan is being enrolled in Guides so its shaping up to be another flat out day.

So because tomorrow is going to be busy I updated The Thank You Blog. This is the layout I used for this month's challenge (which is Health).

Mr Hurly has been to visit

he arrived last night at teatime. Poor Jessica upchucked some of her tea. Thought it might have been a ploy to get out of eating (yes it was a yummy tea so that didn't make much sense). Then he came to visit Elizabeth at 4.40AM!!!!!! Sadly this time he left quite a mess, but thankfully he seems to have left our household and I hope he takes a long time till he visits again!!!
So all my plans for today were thrown and we stayed home, even though both girls were 100%+ after that! Jessica went to school and the grocery shopping got put off to tomorrow.
Allison I am soooo very thankful for the play equipment cos Elizabeth and Lucy both played on it for a long time today, the sunshine was wonderful!!! I was also thankful for the sun as the sheets, doona and pillow needed drying after our early morning fiasco :)
Tomorrow we have parent teacher interviews after school, sort of dreading Megans. Only because she has had a tough time with the other kids in her class this year and her teacher is ummm growly most of the time. I don't like it when good kids have to be growled at because of the not so good kids. Anyways roll on tomorrow :)

Sunny Sunday

And we used some of it to play outside. Allison was very generous and gave the girls some play equipment that she no longer needed. Dave set it up yesterday and they had fun playing on it this afternoon.






Made some more choc chip cookies today as well as having a nap!! Feeling rather flu-y with a husky voice :( :)

Flat Out Friday!

Yep, it has been!! Got to have a lay in this morning, making full use of the student free day, but that meant that every thing else the day had in store was also put back by a bit! So we waited for the washing machine to finish it's business, dealt with that and then went to Medicare, bank, fruit shop and got some things for lunch before FINALLY getting to Allison's an hour after we said we would be there!! Had a really nice time at Allison's and all the girls enjoyed it too :)

You know when your having a bad day

and then there are things that happen to brighten that day, even just a little??
Well here are the things that brightened my day the most:

A visit from Bron. Was sooooo good to see her, to natter and I am sooooo thankful for the friendship I have with her!

The cool gift's Bron bought in Indonesia JUST FOR ME!

And these that Dave bought home with him!

Tomorrow is a student free day so we are planning on going to hang out with Allison and her day care kids for a while :)

I have had no desire to scrap of late but Dave set up my table last night and I amazed myself!! 4 layouts in just over 3 hours AND I didn't procrastinate once! Thanks again Dave :)




I am loving 6x12 layouts. I love that you can use a smaller photo, and even a cropped on at that, and it fits without too much fuss! Lovin' that! The photos on the layout of me, were taken on my mobile while waiting for Megan to finish Guides last week. So it was night, in the car and the only light was from the street light above. I love how they turned out and glad I took the time to play ;)

Elizabeth went well with her speech therapy appointment this morning, our homework for the next 3 weeks is to practice the 'f' sound. Pulling your teeth over your bottom lip and blowing. Is a concept that is very foreign to poor Elizabeth so it will take some practice and time in front of the mirror but I am hopeful :)
Paid all the bills too, so yay we are bill-less again!! LOVE THAT!
Megan has guides tonight, she is being enrolled next week, so that's why I thought I would drop in and say hi to you now, hi :)

An early start to our week...

Was awake at 4.50am but knew there was no point going back to sleep as the alarm was set for 5.30. Got to wake up the girls and then we got ready before Mum and Dad arrived at 7. Took them to the airport and said 'seeya' before they headed off on their plane to New Zealand, via Melbourne, for their 3 week holiday. They should be well on their way with their hired camper somewhere over there by now!!
From there we dropped Dave at work and then Megan and Jessica at school before coming home to tackle washing day!! Then this afternoon we got the girls before picking up Dave.
So apart from the excitement from the wee hours not much else to share :)

We started the day rugged up ready for carpark duty at Church looking a little like this:

and came home looking like this, after a special family service:

Dave had soccer this afternoon so we went out to Mum and Dads. Mum took us 5 girls for a walk, it turned in to a 1.5 hour walk!!! Carried Lucy for part of it but they did a really good job and it was only Lucy that complained!! Mum and Dad leave for New Zealand in the morning, we are taking them to the airport so it will be an early start to the day.

Frisbees, bikes and some school pants

Yep that about sums up my day, apart from a major clean of our bathroom!!

This morning we went shopping for MORE school pants for Megan. The pair we got just 2 weeks or so ago have holes in them. So that meant ALL of her school pants had holes in them. I asked her friend at school if she knew why and I found out that Megan likes to poke pencils in her pant leg. So she has now been warned not to do it or there will be no more new pants!! So we got 2 today and they had better last for the rest of the year!!!

This afternoon we went to the grassy spot with 2 bikes and 2 frisbees and had some fun. Here are 2 of my fave photos of the arvo Megan with the frisbee and Lucy having the ride of her life lol

Dave is currently playing wrestling with Megan and Jessica on the PS2. They are soooo noisy when they laugh, which is happening often! Deary me I just had a look and the costumes they are making for their wrestlers.. well let's just say they are interesting!!! I must say men in bras, jackets and not much else is ummmm yes interesting...

it's Friday!!! I thought it would never come! Yay it's here and almost over :)
Been a very busy jiggety jig day. First to school, then on to the hospital, then the meat wholesaler, home, morning tea, put the washing on the airers then back in the car, fruit shop, post office, bakery and then on to have lunch with Dave. Home again, fiddled around for a while and then back to get Megan and Jessica from school. So that's my day! What did you get up to??

have to turn the old memory bank on to see what has been happening since I blogged on Tuesday!
I completed this layout with photos of Lucy taken in February.

Yesterday Allison came to visit with 2 of her day care kids. Sadly they didn't make the day go quicker (yep that is their job lol). But Dave was home after we got back from playgroup and school. Megan had Guides so dropped her off, did the grocery shopping and then back to pick her up before coming home for our tea. So it was a rather long and busy day.

Today we had playgroup in the morning and mucked about at home in the arvo. Dave had a trip up to Launceston for the day so didn't get home till almost 5, a little travelled out I think poor fella :)

I finally collected the ummm turn away now if your eating or weak in the stomach... collected her poo sample so will take that in tomorrow and hope we get the results back before our appointment at the hospital beginning of next month. Gee it has been a challenge to get this sample! What with her being at school, us being out and about etc it's just not as easy as it might seem! So almost 6 months later we have it, bottled and ready to go lol

Headache,

missing Dave, tired and just flat so I'm going to be quiet and share some layouts I did last night. My 'new phase' seems to be a little says a lot:
Jessica had been complaining that I hadn't created a layout of her, so I did (shhh it's actually about me and my love of hats as journaling says "I love hats. Don't wear them, happy to buy them and blessed you wear them") Let's hope it was enough to stop her moans lol

Why is it Monday already??!!

It just comes around far too quickly for my liking!!!
Well, the noise has certainly returned as has our 4 rabbits. They had a great time at Mum and Dad's but boy are they tired! Dave's away tonight, for work, and back Wednesday, so the girls are all in bed and asleep, apart from Megan who is still reading.
I scrapped again last night, just a quickee with the Love, Elsie range :)

Long post, with lots to see

It has been a very quiet weekend! Mum and Dad decided to have the girls for 2 nights, so they are back in a couple of hours, and they have been very busy, even took them to their shack for the day and the girls paddled with a pod of dolphins I KID YOU NOT!! Wish Mum had her camera but anyhow!

Turned out Dave's soccer game was cancelled so we spent yesterday around home. Had a nap (!!) and Dave and I walked down to the shop, so splurge and buy a picnic bar each! Was a wonderfully sunny arvo until we got home and then the rain started again. I then spent 4 hours scrapping, sending photos via mobile to Josiane and Allison who were scrapping at Josiane's and they sent me photos of the pizza they were eating!! Ok so here is what I created:
This layout has been floating around my head for some time and came together in under half an hour!

This layout includes some work Megan did at school about her Cross Country effort.



This layout is for the Aussie Dares Blog where the challenge was to scrap a 6x12 layout with no pattern paper. Have been wanting to scrap a 6x12 for sometime so grasped the challenge and ran! This layout is of one of my best friends Bron who is getting married end of next month. Soooo looking forward to the wedding YAY

Today Dave and I went out for Brunch (my favourite meal, followed by supper lol). Is the first time we have done that and I loved it! Love sharing special meals like that with Dave. Well I love sharing any time with Dave but food always helps :)

Why is it...

that when you bake choc chip cookies you have to have 4 as soon as they come out of the oven??!!

Yep made some of these this morning, made smaller ones so there were more of them, and have some cooked but frozen pumpkin out to make some pumpkin muffins later.
This morning we went to pick up Dad's hearing aid (it was in being fixed) and after picking up Megan and Jessica from school, this afternoon, we will go down and deliver it and then the 4 girls are staying over at Mum and Dad's. So have to remember to pack their bags before then!! Will pick up the girls tomorrow while Dave is playing soccer.
I scrapped last night, for the One Little Word Challenge. The new challenge was "SIMPLICITY".

Welcome

to Alexander Isaac Moore, Shane and Anna's new bub and number 4 for their family. He was born late last night and we went in this afternoon to welcome him. They were all well and our girls couldn't touch him enough!! Very clucky girls!

Today Allison and 3 of her Day Care Kids came to visit. It was a fun day and it made the day fly past, thank you for that Allison!!!
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my 'Super Guy' (as I like to call him lol) to try and make sense of my superannuation and FINALLY change my name on my policy!! Might as well get it done before our 10th anniversary lol

Plans changed...

Yep I am home tonight, have a raging sore throat and thought it better to stay around home. I have been fighting off a cold/flu all week and think it might just have the upper hand!!! Dave, Megan and Jessica are watching Funniest home video so I thought I would get online and update before having an early night :)

Well, I will start with this layout I created last night.

Today was spent at home, doing not much other than mucking about with Lucy and Elizabeth. We played follow the leader, they made a pizza from all the pencils they spilt instead of colouring in, watched some telly and yep more mucking about.
Am off to Josiane's tomorrow for a scrap with Allison and Mel, that's the plan anyway... time will tell :)

A VERY Jiggety Jig type of day!

Busy Busy Busy is my new middle name!! Let me see...
Today we went to school, dropped of Megan and Jessica then stayed for playgroup. From there we came home to the load of washing that hadn't spun properly before leaving and found it still hadn't, dealt with that and then put it on the clothes horses before making lunch. Jumped in the car and Elizabeth, Lucy and I entered Big W to find their toy sale started today and it was mayhem!! I need to get Elizabeth some singlets and Megan a pair of school pants. Got the singlets and some clothes to send to Darwin for Mia and Makayla. In the car again to the fruit shop. In the car again to the shopping centre to find that Target and Best and Less didn't have Megan's pants either! On to the chemist and the newsagent before tackling the supermarket to get the things I didn't get in last nights shop. Then the butcher before coming home to unpack and then go pick up Megan and Jessica from school.
Megan had guides last night so that was my big supermarket shop YUCK.
Hey a little blog read revealed that it was SOMEONES BIRTHDAY if you have a minute why not go wish her a happy birthday shhhh don't tell her it was me that sent you ;)

Mum and Dad dropped in for lunch today, which Elizabeth and Lucy thought was wonderful. Dad had a Drs appointment but when they got there they were told the Dr had moved office's so they made a later appointment instead.

Had our 'Play and Learn' playgroup this afternoon and Megan and Jessica didn't have after school sport again, the lady was a no show like last week. So we came home and I made a yummy blueberry and white chocolate self-saucing pudding for dessert. Got the recipe from Simply Great Meals email, it was for cherries but blueberries were in the pantry and I love blueberries. It wasn't too rich, just right! So here is the recipe if you'd like to try it too:

Ingredients

100g butter, melted

½ cup milk

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup self- raising flour

½ cup caster sugar

½ cup white chocolate chips

425g can John West Cherries, drained and juice reserved

Topping:

1 ¼ cups water

½ cup brown sugar
Method

1. In a medium bowl or jug combine melted butter, milk and egg. Sift flour into a large bowl, add sugar and white choc chips. Stir in melted butter mixture until well combined.

2. Place John West Cherries into a greased 20cm x 20cm shallow baking dish. Spoon pudding mixture over cherries.

3. Place water and reserved cherry juice in a saucepan and bring to the boil.

4. Sprinkle brown sugar over pudding and pour over boiling water and cherry juice. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 35 - 40 minutes or until firm on top.

COOKING TIME: 40 minutes

TIP: 1 tablespoon cocoa can be added to sifted flour for a super chocolate flavour.

Puddings can be made in individual ovenproof dishes.
