it would be a lot easier I AM SURE!!

Lots of to-ing and fro-ing today.

Took Lucy to the doctor, just to get her checked, she has had a cough and Mum thought she was a little wheeze over the weekend. Doctor said she was fine and her chest was clear, that was good to hear :)

We had playgroup this afternoon. Elizabeth painted me a cow, which I will share when we bring it home, left it to dry.

Then after school the girls had their haircut.

Megan is at Guides, Dave is about to go get her. Will cook tea while he's gone so we can eat when they get home. The other three are nice and quiet so I am hoping they are zzzzz-ing ;)

Eight Weeks Till Christmas

Not much happening here, Dave was up the other end of the State again today, for work. 2 weeks till we jet off to Sydney (won't start that count down just yet though!)

Glad the sun shone...

because it meant all 5 loads of washing got dry!!

and this is less than half of what I washed, hung to dry and folded today!!

Well, Dave and I had a lovely time away. He worked Thursday(8.30-6) and Friday (8-5) so I spent the time walking around, browsing and even had a nap both days!! Thursday night we went out for tea with the group he was over there to see. Friday night we had tea in China Town. Saturday we met up with Dave's Mum at the train station before catching some trams to pick up our rental car. We drove around some of the outlet shops, bought some bits and pieces and called in to meet the lovely Lou at Simply Scrapbooking and was able to buy these yummy things!


Today I finished off a page in my This is me Journal, the challenge to journal about your fave shoes... Seeing as our printer is out of action, till we get some more ink/paper, I did this:


So while we were away I found some bits for the RAK I promised, in celebration of my 6000 blog visitors. So I have a notebook, pen and some tape. All in the pirate theme. The tape I am going to use some of in a layout but the rest will go to one lucky person! So leave a comment and you might have this little thank you RAK heading your way!! 24 hours to go!!!!!!

Today I had some happy mail from the lovely Bek who had been given MASSES of this and wanted to share it around:

We had a lovely lunch and a huge amount of laughs with these wonderful people today:


Was so nice to see them and get to know Craig's gorgeous wife!! Miss him heaps :) We even had a surprise birthday cake for him... not his birthday so it was a surprise lol

When the girls got home from school they headed straight outside, into the sunshine, to do some drawing and story writing (LOVE THAT)

Today was spent around home... cleaning... washing... you get the idea.

We were blessed with some sunshine today so we got outside. These two are amazing! I love how they just get on so well, and when they don't they don't, and how they really are good friends.

Soccer, soccer, soccer!!!

yesterday Uncle Samuel rang and invited Dave to go kick a ball around, so he arrived and took Dave, Megan and Jessica up to a nearby oval. I took Lucy and Elizabeth up later and we all had fun in the sunshine kicking a few balls around :)
Love this one!!

Last night we dropped the girls off at Mum and Dad's and went to Dave's end of year dinner for soccer. Was a nice meal and late night!!!

This morning we went to Church and our lovely, and much missed, friend Craig was over from Sydney. Was nice to catch up with him and his wonderful wife. Because he was over, even if it was for holidays, he was asked to preach at Church tonight. So Dave is there now.

Ok start with the exciting news.... DRUM ROLL... just because I can....

was picked as the winner over at Scrap Mojo and I have won a kit from Red Velvet (I drool over their kit every month but have never bought one!). I was shocked as the layouts that were submitted were just amazing. But I am looking forward to that mail!!

Speaking of mail I got my QTea kit today and I have to say it is my fave so far! Love it all!

Monday is breast cancer awareness day and there was a stall set up near the supermarket this morning so the girls got a pink ribbon bear each.

It's only 5 sleeps to go and Rachael there was broccoli involved but thankfully the carrot wore the brunt of the lack of water!!!

6 Sleeps

and I know I need a holiday...

tonight I put a pot of veggies on without any water. I wondered what the smell was and it took about 10 minutes for me to realise!! Grrr!!!

Anyway :)

Yesterday Dave was a little late home from work, he had been up North for the day, so Megan didn't go to Guides. So grocery shopping tomorrow.

Today we had playgroup in the morning, busy as usual :)

I finally did a page out of my this is me journal. I did the doodle challenge, which I have been going to do for a while but needed the time to sit and do it, which I did today.

7 sleeps

Yep only 7 till I go with Dave to Melbourne! Looking forward to the break :)
Wednesday is my busy busy day. We have been to Speech Therapy this morning and playgroup this afternoon and Megan has Guides in the evening when I go do the grocery shopping. Woke feeling tired and looking forward to the weekend :)
So because of the busy-ness I thought I would blog now and share what I completed last night.

A visit, some presents and a layout :)

Allison just left a little while ago, nah nah I blogged before you. She came to visit with 5 of her day care kids. They were such a delight, it was a lovely time!! Thank you Allison :)
Rang Dave after they left and he thought he'd leave work early so is getting the 'big' girls from school so we don't have to go out again, which is good as it is cold and wet outside.

Dave got home about 7.30 last night with presents for us all. He got the girls a little doll each and each of them was picked because of it's likeness to the recipient, ie Lucy's is blonde and Elizabeth's has curly hair.

My present was this pencil case, which unzips all the way till you have nothing but a loooong zip, and a pen, both from smiggle, YUM.

Love how he loves us!

An early post...

is a good post right??


Dave left a bit after 5.30 this morning. I was in the shower not long after as all the girls were awake! So if school had started at 6.30am we COULD have been early!!! Everyone was ready way before then.
Scrapped these last night:

Jessica insisted on wearing this 'frilly' shirt, which made her look pale and sick. I asked her why she wanted to wear it, knowing the answer, she said "I like frilly bits".

For the love of Guacamole!!

and I do!! So tonight I made some to have with our tea. All the girls loved it, Lucy kept putting her spoon back on her empty plate in hope she might scrape up some more!!

Sooo easy to make! This one was 2 avocados, 1/2 red onion, 1 tomato, a squeeze of sweet chilli sauce and some lemon juice. YUM and just to prove I love it!

Scrapped this last night, of our trip to the park :)

Dave is off to Melbourne first thing tomorrow, back after teatime. We spent some time cleaning up stuff, only to find the tip was closed, when Dave took his carload up. That will have to wait till Tuesday now. The tip was closed due to the wind, which has eased off for now.

This morning we took the girls to a park, they have added a new section, so the girls had lots of fun playing. Some snaps to prove it :)

Then we called in at a nursery and I spent some time in the garden planting and pulling weeds.
