While there we got to see the 'shining star awards'. Each week the teachers nominate someone from their class to get an award and Megan was shocked to receive one today.

Am surprised they are sitting so still but I suppose it is a treat to watch telly before bed. They all ate early tonight as Dave and Megan were going rock climbing for Guides, Dave was going to help. So we got ready for bed, read books and now they are quietly watching telly AMAZING!!
Love how these 2 play together, never ceases to amaze me!
Yes Lucy is pushing Elizabeth on the swing!!
Last night I scrapped :)
and this one is for the Scrapping The Music challenge. I love it because I finally used a photo that Allison took for us in 2005 :)
I added some links to my sidebar today, so if your in need of inspiration or a colour fix go check out some of them, hope you find something you like ;)
Thanks for visiting :)

I finished the latest challenge for my This is me journal, which was if you were stranded on a deserted island what would you take. You were going to be there long so here is my page

I can hear the ladder clunking around, bless him ;)
This one was for the challenge at Scrapping the Music, but I think I was a little too late for that one.
Today we have been out to Church and then to Dave's work Family Christmas BBQ. Was fun and the girls enjoyed themselves.
Thanks for visiting and hope your weekend has been a lovely one :)

So the poor naked tree just couldn't wait to be dressed and dressed it was!

Until it looked positively smashing!

So now we have lights in the lounge room, in the dining room, the hallway and even the bathroom!!!!
And he hasn't even started outside yet!!
So while Dave had the girls entertained this is what I did.
Meet Sunshine who is now best friends with Elizabeth

Sunshine was made from an old polar fleece vest that I was going to toss, her apron is part of an old bib and she even has some American Craft flowers that look lovely :)
And Cat-a-pat who was requested by Lucy.
Cat-a-pat was created from a pair of cord pants that the elastic had worn out, legs, arms and tail are from a pair of school pants that had holes and ears and eyes are from the same bib as used in Sunshine. Love this type of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!!! Both of them were pretty easy to make and were all free-handed... Glad I am not a perfectionist ;) This is the first time I have made anything like this and I really want to make something for our niece who has a birthday next month, want to make something different and funky for a 9 year old so now I have made a start at 'practicing'. Megan and Jessica have put in their requests so they will be next ;)
Ok to finish this montage of photos here is a layout I created last night for the One Little Word Challenge. The word was 'full'. I had heaps of ideas but when I went to do it this one just worked well and all those that know Elizabeth will be nodding saying YES!!! The larger photo was taken by my Mum one time when the girls stayed there.

Roll on the next 4 and a bit weeks!!!!
Student free day tomorrow YAY and Dave has taken a day off so we will be doing some more setting up and who knows what else! Love days off :)
Hope you have a super day and thanks for visiting.
And also the latest This Is Me Journal challenge, to do a page on what makes you cry.
Journaling around the heart says:
'giving, receiving, missing, wanting, sacrificing, learning, yearning, imparting, forgiving, forgetting, growing, believing, seeing, trusting, belonging, sharing. Love makes me cry'
Hope your Wednesday has been kind. I was meant to do the grocery shopping tonight, between dropping off/picking up Megan from Guides, but the pay hadn't gone into the bank so its put off for another day :)
Thanks for visiting
Friday night we caught a train out to have dinner with Dave's Aunt and Uncle who had also invited his cousin and her husband and then later another of Dave's cousin came after he finished work. Was a fun time :)
Spied Hugo Weaving as we walked around and there were a zillion weddings around the place for photos and receptions!! We had tea in China Town before taking a final tour courtesy of my friend the monorail.
Sunday morning we were up early to check out, catch a taxi to the airport, have breakfast and buy a little gift for the girls before catching our plane home. The girls were excited to see us and VERY tired, hence Elizabeth and Lucy needing a sleep today!! So yes had a lovely time away but tired and glad to be home with our girls :)
Thanks to those that stopped by while I was away. Will be drawing a RAK winner tomorrow :) So, as always, thanks for visiting :)

And this one was about 2008
Dave took some photos of me todayAlso found out about Doodle4Google today. The son of a friend entered and I have to say his page is FANTASTIC!!! So check out the Grade 1-3 and Tasmania's entry by Clayton.. Don't forget to vote ;)
Thanks for visiting and hope the new week is wonderful :)

This is today's photo of the 'growing pets'. Since then I have taken the eggs away and the 'pets' are now in a larger container.
And this one when they had been in the water for 24 hours.
Had fun at Dad's birthday. Here is Poppy with all his Grandkids, although I say he can only use the phrase Granddaughters...
Today I was blessed with mail!! Cool mail... scrapping mail!!! I received my purchases from Sis-TV (very yummy) and my OH MY I LOVE THIS prize from Red Velvet that I won from Scrap Mojo. Elizabeth and Lucy had the honour of undoing the boxes for me :)
Last night my sister gave each of the girls a 'growing pet'. It is an egg that you put in water and a creature hatches and grows. Megan has wanted one for a long time so it was a great gift.

So now all four are sitting in their jars waiting to hatch. Will be taking photos every day to show their progress :)

Think thats about it :)
