Scrap the Girls

For those who haven't visited yet Scrap The Girls have their first challenge. The theme "Things you do". So last night I used it as a way of scrapping the stage that Lucy is going through at the moment!!

Today we have been busy doing lots of things around home, apart from walk/ride to the 'grassy spot'. Megan painted a piggy bank Uncle Samuel gave her, Jessica and I made some window Decals with a kit she got for her birthday last year, Megan and Dave played 'hallway soccer', lots of playing in the sunroom and I even, please don't faint Grandma, I even did the mending!!!! I amaze myself sometimes ROFLMO!!!!!

Dave's meant to have soccer tomorrow arvo, I say meant to as the team sheet STILL hasn't been posted on their webpage so WHO KNOWS lol. Us girls are going to visit Mum and Dad and then Allison before going back to watch the last bit of his game. Well that's the plan, will see how that goes!!
Thanks for dropping in :)

Happy red nose day!

Jessica bought a red nose at school this morning and wasn't to pleased when I pulled the camera out this arvo lol We stayed for assembly this morning. Jessica announced what her class had been doing and then held the mic for each person as they explained their work.

Believe it or not I scrapped last night!!! I just had to with the photos and story all fresh in my head. It's a layout for the One Little Word challenge. This weeks word is "NEW" and it was very appropriate for Elizabeth this week. I will probably scrap again tonight as Dave has study to do and if I am occupied I can't annoy him, well that's my plan lol
Journaling says "Mashir made you this funky hat and you love to wear it! Today you asked to wear it till after Teatime and you did!"
she wore it again today and love love loves it!!!
Hope your day has been kind and you have a super weekend.
Thanks for visiting!

Due to popular demand

I am back!!! Life has just got the better of me at the moment, so when it comes to 'kids in bed time' I just want to do 'not much at all thank you!!'

Soooo much has happened and it's only been a week!! So will use some photos to get you up to date:

These lovely flowers came from Grandma, with Jelly Beans, as a Thank you from Grandma for her holiday.

These flowers Elizabeth just had to buy for Dave for his birthday. Her and Lucy couldn't decide what colour to get so they got one of each, which was good seeing as it was 4, one from each girl.

The 30 year old :)

The other birthday cake, we had a birthday tea with my Mum and Dad. Yum roast lamb as requested by the birthday boy. Elizabeth wanted to pick the cake and of course chose the pink as Daddy doesn't like pink lol
And finally Jessica all hooked up to the heart monitor. Dave came home for a while to look after Elizabeth and Lucy on Monday morning so Jessica and I could go in for her Echo and to have the monitor put on. She was sooooo good with it all. She had it taken off Tuesday and we will head on back to the GP sometime next week to find out the result of all of the tests.

Wednesday I took all 4 girls to the dentist. All good there :) Last night Megan had guides, first after the school holidays. Tuesday Megan and Jessica had after school sport. Was meant to be the start of Jazz Dance, but the person didn't show. Ummmm what else. Playgroup is back in full swing, today we had lots of play equipment out in the school hall, Elizabeth in her element lol. Dave's had a bit of travelling around for work but expecting a slower week next week before it all starts up again in vengence! He is at soccer training now and its cold and wet ICK!!

That about does it I think.... Yep no scrapping, still lacking the motivation, which is sad as I have lots of photos and thoughts, just no oomph!

Thanks for visiting :)

PS: just had to note it here, tonight is the first time that Megan has turned the light off and gone to sleep all by herself. Megan isn't a very good 'going to sleep' person. I have been waiting for her to come out and tell me she has finished reading and is ready for the light to go off. I went in and the light was off and she was fast asleep!!! I'm truly amazed but oh so glad!

Oh my...

I have a layout to share!
I wasn't planning on scrapping, feeling very unmotivated to the point of never scrapping again... yeah I know like that would happen but I did feel that way. Anyway thought I better kick my own butt and pulled out this photo of Miss Elizabeth, which I already knew what I wanted to do with, and started. I fiddled and diddled and this is the result.

Hope your hump day passed by without too much fuss :)

Adios, Dave's birthday tomorrow. He hits the big 3...0!!! Hope you have a lovely day Dave :)

Back into the school thing

We had playgroup start up again today so Term 2 is now back in full swing and only going to get busier for at least the next month or so.
Dave has a few 'day trips' for work before a night or 2 away in July. Next week is a busy one with Jessica's Heart things and a trip, for all 4 girls, to the dentist. Mum and Dad leave for NZ end of next month so its already feeling like a swamped few weeks. Spose it will soon be Christmas lol speaking of which I need to go shopping tomorrow and find something for Davie Babe's, hope I can find what I want or I will have to start thinking again, especially as I have already moved to Plan B lol
Will leave you with this quote from Megan, as we drove to school this morning in the fog
"You can't see the clouds because of the fog".

Don't feel like blogging...

Yes I have the Scissor Sister song in my head and Yes I am sooo unmotivated to blog.

Have been very busy, said bye to Grandma on Saturday night as we left her with Uncle Pete before driving back to stay the night in Launceston. We didn't sleep well so came home instead of meeting Grandma and Grandpa (Dave's Grandparents) for Church. We were home by 11am.

Anyway, having Dave's Mum here was great. The girls loved every minute of the time spent with Grandma and when Uncle Samuel and Louise came for tea on Friday night, well let's just say Megan was very happy to have seen all her relatives and said as much lol

Megan and Jessica went back to school today and don't seem to have missed a beat!

So will leave you with a few photos, starting with this one I took this morning of the frost, Love this photo.

Take care :)
Elizabeth with our only nephew, Jade
Megan with our Neice, Emma, who is 2 months older than Megan.
Grandma with all her Grandkids apart from baby Anika who came later.
The cake Samuel and Louise brought to celebrate Dave's birthday which is on Thursday (his 30th!!)

One more sleep

and Grandma will be with us!! Yep in the morning we will head on down to the airport to await her arrival. Yes it is like Christmas!!!
Today we have rolled out the red carpet, to make sure it's up to scratch, practiced our curtsey's and polished our toe nails.... no... oh... ok...
This morning Jessica and I spent between the GP, pathology and radiology. Went to get her heart checked out again, she has a heart murmer but has been getting blue lips, which has worried her mother a tad! So the GP got us to get a blood sample, x-rays and in a fortnight we are booked in for an echo-gram and Jessica also has to be hooked up to a monitor for 24 hours so thats all being done at the same time. So all fun and games and no idea of if it will even result in answers but at least we are doing something :)
Jessica wanted lunch out so we went to a little cafe, which excited her no end! She is loving food at the moment, growth spurt me thinks, so we had a lovely lunch.
Megan came home after 4 so its nice to have everyone home again although Dave is at soccer training tonight.
Thats about it for now so thanks for dropping by :)

Shhhhhh...

It's been very quiet around here hasn't it??!!
Yes the quiet has sent me a little crazy...

well no more than I usually am lol
So why has it been quiet??
Saturday night we went to Mum and Dad's for a bomb fire and crackers. They were only smaller fireworks, ones you don't need permits for. So we went out there and had tea and then when it got dark, which was about 5.30, a neighbours of theirs came up with their grandkiddies and we lit the fire and watched the fireworks.

Then Dave and I left the girls there for a 'Poppy holiday'. Sunday we woke at 8am (WOW that is a huge sleep in for us) and thought we would still head off to Church for the early service, which we did.

Came home for lunch and then went to drop Dave off at soccer (they won 5-0!!!). I then went to visit Allison for a bit before heading back to watch the last half of soccer. We came home, had tea and then I scrapped. Created these 2 layouts.

Then this morning, after sleeping till 8am AGAIN, I scrapped these 3 layouts.

After lunch Dave and I went to pick up the girls. Megan has stayed for another night as Mum was coming out this way tomorrow.

So now the silence has gone and we are back to our 'comfortable' noise level lol

Tomorrow will be the final countdown to Grandma's visit and we hope you have a smooth flight over on Wednesday!

Half way through the holidays already!?!

And still more things knocked off our to-do-list. Elizabeth and Lucy now have bank accounts, we took the girls money box money in but needed birth certificates to open ones for Elizabeth and Lucy, so did that today.
Allison and 3 of her day care kids came to visit for an hour this morning. Boy did they help hype the day up lol no not really but with all four of our girls in full swing... well let's just say it was entertainment plus! Megan and Jessica decided to put on 'a performance' which then turned into a side show involving everyone to a degree!! Was very interesting to watch!! Tiring but entertaining lol
Booked our accommodation in Launceston for next Saturday so now we have a place to stay , phew! It is really hard to find places that will sleep 2 adults and 4 kids but a place was found.
Not much else that I can think of so thanks for stopping by and hope your weekend is wonderful :)

Is it really Thursday already??

half the holidays are almost gone, but that list is shorter again today!!!
I stayed home with Lucy while Dave took the other girls with him. They went and dropped the van off first thing to see the 'car doctor'. Thankfully it was only a service and they didn't find anything terribly wrong with it!!!
Dave mowed the lawns today while I swept up some of the leaves and pulled out some of the old tomato plants. We also moved the compost around and I have to say that one of the worst smells ever is composting apricots! NOT NICE AT ALL!!!
Cleaned up my 'scrap spot' and threw lots of stuff out. Stuff I held onto just in case... things like containers that might come in handy and haven't. I also put magnets on the back of some sticker-ised creatures that Megan bought me while on her big trip with Mum and Dad 2 years ago!! They had been sitting there for that long and I needed some more magnets for my board so killed 2 birds with one stone!!
I asked Megan and Jessica to clear a path in the sun room this afternoon and they took it upon themselves to clean it up and I have to say its impressive, but we had to ask them to stop as it was getting too cold out there, they were disappointed to stop lol
Dave's at soccer training tonight, brrrrr. I am crossing some more things off our list by paying his car rego and hopefully finding some accommodation up North for when we drop Grandma off next weekend. I think that's all I had to do lol
Happy Anniversary to Allison and Dale. I hope you have a nice night together.
And I hope it was an alright type of day for everyone else! Thanks for visiting :)

It's all good

the list is going the right way, we are crossing off more than we are putting on!!
Today we went to the library, morning tea at Donut King, grocery shopping, Dave had lunch with some mates and the van is FINALLY booked in for a service. Might not seem much to you but that's 5 things less to do through the holidays!! The rest of the day the girls played school's in the sun room, which now looks like someone invited elephants over to play!
This time next week Grandma will be here for a visit. The girls don't know yet but I have a feeling that when we head off to the airport next Wednesday Little Miss Megan might just clue in as to what is about to happen and then I think the excitement will probably turn the poor van into a convertible as it blows the roof off!!!

Did the sun shine on you today??

It did here, was a wonderfully sunny winters day! Yes it was still cold though lol
This morning we went out so Jessica could spend her birthday money, she had $10 and bought a skipping rope that also becomes a hoop. She has played with it lots since!
The girls also had haircuts, MUCH needed!
Last night I scrapped.
Firstly this one of Jessica and her birthday

and then this one of Megan.

May you Wednesday be wonderful and warm :)

Jolly holidays

Sounds like Christmas, don't you think lol??!!
Today was spent around home.
So let me see what happened...
* hallway soccer
* playing harmonica's
* hide n seek
* Mummy making up games (which is a favorite when they get really bored)
* cheese on toast for lunch
* drawing
* talking
* running round the house
* Dave took the van to get the 'piping' around the sliding door replaced and he also made up a list of all the things that need doing in the next 2 weeks, hopefully :)
Yep good fun :)
I also took the opportunity to take some photos of Megan

Hope your week has started out just fine :)

Saturday It's Saturday

Happy Wedding Day to Bek and Mike, I hope I have the date right and hope it was a truly wonderful day!! Thinking of you all :)

Grandma, a night-night is in the works, just don't know when lol Megan and Jessica are up watching Funniest home videos tonight. The day started too early for a holiday! Elizabeth and Lucy were up before 5.30 :(

Today has been a very busy, yet productive, cleaning day. Even Megan and Jessica cleaned their rooms YAY. Glad that job is down so we have the whole holidays for other FUN stuff!

Dave played soccer this afternoon, lost 3-0 :(

I completed these 2 layouts last night. This first one is for the One Little Word challenge. This one is to use the word STOP.

And this layout didn't work out how I wanted it to but seeing as I was just mucking about with the photo, I don't really mind, just had fun playing

Feel like I am stuck in a rut at the moment with my scrappin'. Venturing into new techniques and not having them work for me and I just can't find my own little groove any more. So we will see where all that takes me :)

Thanks for dropping in :)

Everybody's on Holidays

Those are the words of a little song I made up (how strange I hear some of you say and others shaking their heads saying yep that'd be right!!!) and I have been singing that since getting Megan and Jessica from school this afternoon! Sang it as Dave walked in the door and all through making a special holidays tea (chicken rissoles never tasted so good)!

Hey Hey Hey It's winter!!! We had a sprinkle of snow on the mountain overnight just to prove it lol. What I love most about Winter is that it means Spring is just around the corner!! Elizabeth, Lucy and I went and had lunch with Dave at his work today. Elizabeth was VERY happy when I said we could get lunch from the bakery. We had a lovely lunch and I love being able to share it with Dave :)

This morning I updated The Thank You Blog . Shared this layout, as the challenge for June is to create a layout regarding 'a deed'. For more on that why not go have a look, hope it inspires you to create.

Take care and thanks for stopping by :)
