I love Dave

I do you know!
He is on his way to pick up my computer, gotta love him for that... and a lot more ;)
So still no photos to show but hoping to do that tomorrow night :)
Did another page for my 'this is me' journal and I noticed they had a new challenge up so will be doing another page soon.
Today Allison came to visit with 5 of her day care kids. We had a lovely time and they played really well together.
Glad its Friday and apart from Dave's soccer tomorrow and going to Church and Dad's on Sunday, for Father's day, the rest of the weekend will be filled with not much and the mammoth job of cleaning the sunroom. Told the girls it needs to be done so they can play in there over the school holidays, truth is I want it clean for when we come home from our visit to Grandma's! Speaking of which I said to Dave tonight, that this time next week I won't be cooking him tea ;)
Not long now Grandma :)

Still no computer :(

So I still have no photos to show you of the layouts I completed last night and the journal pages I created. Oh well there will be a big photo session when I get my computer back!!
OK so a few things instead of photos.
Lou Spiden asked me to pass on this info:

Crop For Kids - is currently organising online classes through their blog to raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
Their blog can be found here:
http://cropforkids.blogspot.com/
We have visited the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, with Megan, and have to say the staff we came in contact with were absolutely wonderful.

Quote from Elizabeth after we saw a double decker bus as we drove to school.
"Can you talk on buses?"
"Yes" I said
"That's good" she said "because I like chattering"

And will leave you with a quote from me
Parenting isn't about perfection it's about performance

The joys and unjoys...

is there such a word?? is now!!
Yep the joys and unjoys of computers!!! I switched mine on this morning to find that it wasn't going to load windows for me *blerk* and grrrr!!! Thankfully I can use Dave's while mine has been returned and, hopefully, won't be away too long.
So I can't show you the groovy album I started last night for the challenges happening over at 'this is me journal' (see link on sidebar). Love it and love my new album!!
We have had a busy run around day which got even fuller with the computer problems. Dave took it back after dropping Megan off at Guides and is now back at work filling in time till he picks Megan up (waving at you Dave XXOODDOOXX).
So stay tune for the return of my computer and photos :)

A something kind of Tuesday...

Not sure what kind of something though *g*
Thought I would pop in and share the 3 layouts I created last night.

These first 2 are from a sketch Edleen posted by on her blog. So these 2 are variations of that sketch.

And this one, another from the wedding :)

More Mr and Mrs Smith

Got my photos developed and amongst the disappointing photos there were these 2.

The cake

Bron and Murray

I also scrapped this layout last night.

Is using the challenge sketch at Scrapdragons. Is my first ever layout from a sketch. I found it hard although it came together very quickly. I should have used a smaller format but thought a 12x12 would be better to fit everything on. I really struggle with using someone else's "idea" for my layout. So much rather have the freedom to develop a layout as I go. I liked that this challenge was easy enough to follow and that it brought the layout together quickly. Happy to have started on some of the wedding photos from Saturday!

I also found this challenge site, Category Stories, that will be starting soon. Well worth checking back to in the future!! Looks like fun. I also found a few other challenge blogs and have added them to my side bar if your up for a challenge :)

Mr and Mrs Smith!!

Yep, Bron and Murray are now married and what a glorious day it was! The weather was PERFECT and it was a beautiful bride that married the handsome groom in a splendid ceremony and the reception that followed was fabulous!

Friday Mum came and looked after Elizabeth and Lucy while I went and had my haircut (and eyebrows waxed). She then waited till after school and took all 4 girls for the weekend.

Dave dropped me off Friday night and after a foot massage, foot spa, hand massage, finger nail painting, much laughter, frivolity and talking Bron had a shower and then called it a night. While she was in the shower we short sheeted her bed and then carefully placed some rice in the sheets. Roll on 10.30pm.. we all said goodnight. Kanina (Bron's sister) went straight to sleep, Bron was in her room and I could hear her bashing around, tiding up ready for the next day. I drifted in and out of sleep till about 11.30 when I woke to hear Bron's Mum say "let me know when you going to bed"! I thought oh no (lol) and then Bron said "Ok... why??" so of course she looked so up I got and helped clean up the rice. Then her Mum said ok let us tuck you in and thats when she found the short sheeted bed. We re-made the bed and I headed back to mine. Tossed and turned till 6.30am when everyone was up. So the day had started. It was a picture perfect day!
Photo at 6.30am of the sun rising behind the marquee.

Ok so photos.... and I will have more, hopefully, when I drop a film in to be developed tomorrow.

Bron getting ready

Dave and I (see new hairdo and my outfit)

Claire and Bron at the reception

Wish I had more but my digital camera was doing its usual trick of playing up on me!!

Part of our table was a lady and a couple with their 5 year old son who were from Japan. They were friends of Brons. They didn't speak much English but Dave spent the night entertaining the little boy, who was very tired by the end of the evening! Dave had also given them a lift back to town the night before so they had already sussed each other out. when it was time for them to go the Father came over to say goodbye and asked if we would be there the next day, Bron's parents were making the most of the marquee being up and were having a celebration today for their 40th wedding anniversary. I explained that no we wouldn't be coming as we had our 4 little girls to go and collect. So after saying good bye we thought they had left until he came wandering back in and started making something out of balloons. I said to Dave "please tell me he hasn't got 4 out..." but sure enough he went on to make 4 'yo yos' for our girls!!! How sweet!

So generous! they had given Kanina and I a fan each when we had arrived on Friday night!

Today was a very slow start! I am still feeling tired, and my voice proves it! We didn't get out of bed till almost 10. Hopped in the shower, got dressed, put the washing machine on and went out to have brunch together. We then went for a walk along the beach before collecting the girls and coming home to have Megans requested...

Burritos. She had spied them in the supermarket catalogue and asked me to get some. We had them tonight before the girls had their piece of wedding cake and after dinner mint ;)
Hope you have had a lovely weekend too!! I now have photos to scrap and can't wait (Even if it is to use some of my Love, Elsie wedding type stickers lol).

Triple Decker Please

Just popped in to show off these three wonders that I created last night.

This one is for the challenge at Are You Feeling Groovie? Challenge. You had to create a layout with no pattern paper and use rubons, alpha sticker and transparencies.
I was clever and used the 'insides' of some of the letter stickers to create the semi circle.
I like the result :)

This one for the One Little Word Challenge which was BALANCE. Have had this photo for a while now and wanted to scrap this layout, so thanks for the prompting!

And this one just because I love the photo by Jessica ;) Great photo for a 6 year old I think!

Have a fun day and thanks for visiting.
**EDIT:
Just had to come back and share this yummy mail I just got from Q-Tea Kits. Danielle has done such a great job and I loooooove my kit!! Can't wait to play.... Maybe Sunday :)

Septembers pack has already sold out so why not email her if your interested in getting one of her scrummy kits in the future, you won't regret it!

a scrapping type of day

sort of lol This morning we had a 'scrap session' at Play and Learn. The Mums got to scrap some of the photos that had been taken this year and the kids played, well that was the plan. I think we ended up with about 10 pages between us, speedy me was first lol. I even got to do some tearing and doodling!!! Shocked them all and even got titled 'the expert'.... hmmmm

Took some photos today, Megan missed out as she was making a thank you card for our next door neighbour.
Jessica

Elizabeth

Lucy

Jessica took some of me.

Unless I sneak in tomorrow, through the day, I won't be back till Sunday. Off to Bron's tomorrow night and then the wedding Saturday. Already tender about not seeing the girls till Sunday and having a night away from Dave.. oh well lol Haircut tomorrow :)

Off to scrap :)

A lot about Chooks...

We made this pair of chooks yesterday at Pre Kinder

and these

and then I went to Bron's Hens night and had a cackle of a time :)

Good bits about today

*Our lovely next door neighbour accepted Megan's invitation and came up to school to look at their science display on Antarctica. The whole school had done bits in their science classes. It was really nice of him to come have a look because, firstly, he didn't have to. Secondly, we don't really know him (ie we only moved in 18 months ago) and thirdly he has his own grandkids that he would be doing the same thing for. SO REALLY NICE!!

*Dave came home for lunch and had a coffee with me. LOVE THAT!!!

Hope you have had some good bits through your day that you can reflect on :)

Mornin'!

Good Morning!!
Thought I would get in now, before the running around starts!! And because of the super speeds of Broadband I can do this now without it taking FOREVER!!

Today we are off to Speech therapy for Elizabeth and after lunch pre-kinder. Between all of that its the usual Monday washing day stuff. Then tonight I am off to Bron's Hen's night at her parents house.
Last night I scrapped these 3 layouts:
This one of Dave at soccer. Photos are from my mobile and not very good, but I love watching him play so this is a layout of how I wish I could be 'behind the net' more often.

This layout is of Lucy and her recent 'scratches' that she got at Mum and Dad's.

This layout of Megan and her knitting is for the challenge at {Create} Make it happen!
You had to use red and white.

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a wonderful day :)

Where has my Saturday gone???

Spent the morning transferring SOME of the things from my old computer to my new one. What a loooong process this is, but it is slowly getting there. Still to hook my camera printer dock up so no photos to share so will share some other bits and pieces.
After lunch Dave and I went to soccer. I watched, he played (won 4-2). Was a very cold wind blowing so I sat in the van.
Came home via Mum and Dad's, to pick up the girls. All 4 of them were half way up the drive with their bags on their backs!! They had conspired together and were walking home!! Glad we got there when we did!! They were very razzed up so it was a noisy drive home. Made homemade pizzas for tea and now they are all in bed YAY.
Ok so will share some bits and pieces now
If you haven't seen THIS yet then your missing out on something very meaningful!
And I should share THIS with you too, i'd be a fool not to. thanks Allison for the links and glad I could FINALLY watch them!
Something a little lighter... much lighter! The girls came home singing THIS *sigh* lol this is how they are... Hear something once and they will catch on and sing it forever!! Megan told me she likes the drummer!!!
Hope your day has been a full one, don't forget to leave a comment to win the RAK.
Take care and, as always, thanks for visiting :)

I'm a bee, I'm a bee

a busy busy busy bee... or maybe tired tired tired bee

So Mum and Dad's plane that was MEANT to get in at 10.30pm Tuesday night... well it was delayed, along with all the other Qantas and Jetstar flights that were in or out of Melbourne on Tuesday. So at 12.15am Wednesday they touched down, back in Tasmania!! They were thankful of having made the decision to stay overnight here as they didn't get back here till after 1am. Dave went by himself to get them but Megan was awake till they got here, and is now one tired little chickadee! The girls all enjoyed jumping on Mum and Dad in the morning, way too early if you ask me, and I think Mum and Dad enjoyed it too!

Yesterday, after Mum and Dad had gone home I went to the phone shop and got a new SIM card, mine has been playing up and we are hoping it's just the card and not GRRR.

Playgroup in the arvo and then Megan had Guides last night, so I did the grocery shopping Ick!

Today we had playgroup in the morning and not much in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is a student free day so we have a lunch date with Dave,YAY.

As promised here are the 'ingredients' for my RAK. Yesterday I added some buttons (surprise surprise). The RAK will have a handful of colour from the handful of buttons that I will add from this little stash.

And today I added some random stickers (and some more when I find some groovy ones)

So don't forget to leave a comment and this ever-filling-up-RAK might just be on it's way to you!!

Dave's at soccer training so I am off to scrap.

As always, thanks for visiting :)

Have you had one of those days...

where everything seems so much harder than an ordinary day or than it really is?? That's how its been for me today. Felt soooo tired this morning I just did NOT want to get out of bed. But I got through the day and here I am :) Mum and Dad arrive back from New Zealand at 10.30pm tonight so we are waking the girls and taking them to the airport to pick them up. Thankfully Mum and Dad are staying here the night so the girls will get some time with them in the morning.

Lastnight, while Dave started hooking my new computer up, I scrapped this layout of Jessica.

While browsing blogs I read on Mel's blog that she had nominated me for a

Thanks Miss Melly! Love finding out the history of such things, so did a little searching and found it started Here, and how cool it only just started August 2nd!! So passing on the niceness to

Elizabeth

Also here is a piccy of the first part of my RAK (don't forget to comment... YOU MIGHT WIN). This part contains 5 pieces of yellow writing paper, 5 pieces of graph paper, 2 pages of music script paper and 5 pages of an old diary. Love ledger paper and the likes so it's a great foundation for this RAK.

Oh and have to mention that Dave came home from work with a HUGE box with speakers that he had bought for my new computer. Well the box wasn't that huge but it was huge to me cos it only had speakers in it and I wouldn't have expected speakers, for a computer, to be that bit but golly it's a 2.1 speakers and the .1 is more like ummmm 2??!! Noice! He has set them up and gosh they have the potential to be VERY loud!! Thanks Dave :) Love you and that's always a good spot to end my blog on!

Right now...

Dave is setting up my new computer!! Still waiting to get the Office Suite package through the mail and hooking up to Broadband but yay!! On my way to a faster computer and WAY faster internet yippee!

Not much else to share, although if you get Scrapbooking Memories (Vol 9 No 3) check out page 140 :) shhhhhh

OH OH OH AND.... Drum roll...

I have had over 5000 visitors so it must be RAK time again! It is also 2 years since I completed my very first layout with Allison's help.

So I will be putting together a RAK, of some of my favourite things, over the next few days. So everyone who leaves a comment until Sunday will be in the running to win. I will post photos of the 'added to RAK' bits each day, so be in it and you might just win it!!

Weekend...

It's almost over, always a sad thing lol

Yesterday I went to Bron's Bridal shower and had a lovely time, nattering and playing games.

Then last night Allison came for tea (Dave made a yum meat loaf) and then we scrapped. She bought me a little pressy (a yum Picnic bar!) and this VERY cool card she made.

She helped me through my Mini-album phobia (lol). So firstly, I FINALLY finished off this one that I had made and covered almost 12 months ago (!!) after going to a class taught by Mel

and then I created this one for Megan, using some of the chipboard flowers from Sarah.

Journaling says "Once upon a time there was a beautiful Princess named Megan. She fell in love with a handsome Prince named Ralph. Everyday Ralph went to work, he was an Engineer. He would earn money to take his princess to the movies. Together they lived happily ever after."
The rest of the chipboard flowers I have set aside to make another album. Do you think I am over my mini-album fear??!!! This one, for Megan, was fun :)

And then, because there was still time, I created this layout of Lucy, who used to say "pishes" for Princess.

Today we went to Church, watched "Cars" and just hung out around home. Is cooooold!

Hope your staying warm where you are and, as always, thanks for visiting.
