I'm still alive

even with the busy day we had :0)

Didn't pay school fees because silly me didn't read the thing right and the clothes shop isn't open till later next week so we will go then!! So instead we filled the day with the other things we had to do! Megan conquered her swim lesson again, yay. We dropped Megan and Jessica off for their 'holiday' at Mum and Dads and then rather than do the grocery shopping, ick, we called in to see Allison :)

Dave came home early for a coffee and then we went and did the groceries and bought Hungry Jacks for Elizabeth and Lucy and Indian for Dave and I :)

Oh the toilet paper rearranger was back yesterday... still going to document this as I want to see if there is some logic to these sculptures!

Off their rockers..

Well, I think they were, the girls spent the afternoon putting on performances and music shows... I videoed 2 of them and was going to add one here but the minute and a half performance is 30+Mb!! So I didn't add it :) was funny, Megan on guitar, Lucy on drums, Elizabeth as backing vocals and Jessica as lead singer... Golf clubs for mics and a toy oven as one of the 3 drums...Lots of jumping around... LOUD but fun.

We picked Elizabeth up today and are dropping Megan and Jessica off tomorrow after our busy day packed with paying school fees, swimming and other bits and pieces.

Today we also had a picnic lunch in the back yard. Was just leftovers but the girls enjoyed it :)

Proud of me??!!

Well it turns out it wasn't a virus, just something the anti virus thought LOOKED like a virus!!
Which is GRAND but it took our Kodak Easyshare program and put it into a 'vault' so we couldn't use it!!!
So today I fixed it all and got the program up and running again so I can now upload photos again, sadly I have no photos to share with you today!! Now I think that is funny!!!

Not much else to share. Took the girls for a little walk so they could have a run around, Jessica and Lucy loved that while Megan found it boring....
Tomorrow we are meeting up with Mum so we can pick up Elizabeth.

Computers!!!

Grrr and plops!!! So tonight I get on to my trusty computer to find I have a virus.... Trying to fix that now! Is one that creates pop ups or some such! More grr and plops!!!
Mum and Dad came for tea, Elizabeth went home with them till Wednesday.
Spent the day around home doing little while Dave did some odd jobs, thanks Dave :)

Jamie Oliver Part 2!

A while ago Dave and I watched one of Jamie Oliver's shows. On it he made a 'sausage ring', well while I was away last night Dave cooked this for the girls

You take a string of sausages, untwist and squeeze into one big sausage then curl, cover it with whatever yummy things you have, Dave used plum sauce, chicken salt and garlic (that's all I can remember), then you bake. The girls loved it!

He also made apricot pie :0)

So before I went scrapping at Allison's I made a new page for my Art journal

yes it is different to my other pages, but that's how my journal is... its about thoughts I have had. So this page was mostly about the story I posted here. Is about what baggage we leave behind as we journey through life. That I will rise above it all, that I won't be held down by the things that taint my day. Its about lots of other smaller things that made me feel I just had to put it on paper.

Also yesterday my computer monitor decided it didn't want to work :( Lights were on but no one was home!! So now I am using Dave's and he is considering nicking Jessica's for a while. Is different having a different monitor! Especially looking at my layouts, the colour on here is different!! Oh well, will see if I gets me a new monitor now :)

Ok so on to my scrappy day (thanks again Allison!).

Jamie Oliver feast your eyes on this...

Tonight I made these, sweet potato chips,

cooked them

added some french stick, steak and salad

The salad I dressed with an apricot, was a VERY juicy one and I just squeezed it over the top, no oil or vinegar just apricot. Was lip-smacking-delish!!

I seriously felt sick

when I found out I MADE IT THROUGH TO THE 2ND ROUND OF THE SIS-TV FASHIONISTA SEARCH (as I call it lol). I am totally amazed, thrilled beyond belief that my name is amongst SUCH talented people AND all from doing something I really love doing!!! So yes I felt quite ill, tossing and turning last night in bed didn't help lol So now am excited and waiting to see what happens next!!

Ok so on to today. Megan did a fantastic job and was so very brave. I didn't tell her till it was time to get ready and leave and oh boy... the tears... the 'I don't want to learn to swim'... the 'I can't do it'... but we got there and she did really well! Back again next week, hoping she will be brave between now and then :) So while she was there I took Elizabeth and Lucy for a little walk, we found a newsagency and got Megan a 'bravery present'...

We also had a few things to do and in amongst that came across some $3 (yes $3!!) pj's for Elizabeth. They only had size 5s and she very proudly chose the cow ones and mooed at the man at the register when she paid for them and mooed again when she put them on, because, of course, she had to wear them to bed ;)

So that is pretty much our day, apart from the joyous fact Dave came home at 2pm!! Yay :)

Life

A new page from my Art Journal. I used PVA glue to make the writing (waited 24 hours for it to dry), painted over it in red, then around it in my yummy blue :)

Today we went to Mum and Dad's. Megan's home and Jessica is there. Took some photos of the girls with our dog LB. He lives at Mum and Dad's so he has space to RUN ;) This was the best photo of the lot :)

Tomorrow is going to be interesting. Megan has swimming lessons 3 or so years ago. She hated the deep end, wouldn't get in, cried etc etc anyway I put off doing anything about it because she gets very worked up about it all. She would happily swim in the shallow end or anywhere that she knows she can touch the bottom... Well tomorrow I am taking her to have a one on one session to see where she is at so we can get her back into some swimming lessons. Just want to know she can swim and that she will be safe around water, then I can get the other kids swimming too!! Its been a hard road so I am hoping tomorrow pays off and we get her swimming in slightly deeper water! She doesn't know and I won't tell her until its time to get ready, so we don't have a lot of think time which equals think TO MUCH time. Wish me luck :)

Sun was back today!!

and glad of that ;)

I even went to bed last night and turned on my electric blanket and its the middle of summer!

So today we had time outside, yay. Did some gardening while the girls played. They finally got to play in the boat that Allison gave us!! They loved it and want to play pirates and go sailing for whales!!

They also got to eat some beans today. They just love being able to pick things straight out of the garden and gobble them up!!

And because it was sunny AND I had my camera outside I got to play... here are some random, very random shots :)

Last night, while waiting for Dave to come home with YUMMY Indian food for our tea, I scrapped this layout :)

And today I scrapped this one for the Scrap Mojo challenge, which was to use something you would normally have thrown away and staples. So I used tissue paper and made the flowers and a piece of left over graph paper :)

Tomorrow we head to Mum and Dad's, to pick up Megan and drop Jessica off for her 'holiday'.

Where has the sun gone??!!

It has been cold here today, so much for summer!! Can't complain too loudly as the wind dried our 5 loads of washing!!! Monday's are washing day, which means the towels and sheets get done as well as the usual daily washing.

I scrapped this layout today, used scraps and it took me about 10 minutes to complete :) A challenge was posted over at SIS, to take a photo of yourself waiting, use 5 pattern papers, an office supply/stationery and the letter J... here's what I did

Needed a pick me up type of layout and this did the trick :)

Dave came home for lunch today too, was nice and the girls loved the bonus time with him :) He is at cricket tonight so I am waiting for my dinner :)

Megan rang last night and again this morning, I think she either misses us or loves to talk on the phone!!!

Don't know what to call this post

After I blogged last night Dave's Aunt and Uncle called in. They are over from Sydney and were on their way back up to Launceston and Dave's Grandparents. Was lovely to see them.

This afternoon Mum and Dad called out, with a kids boat play thing that Allison had given us (Thanks again Allison). So now Megan is at Mum and Dad's for another holiday before we pick her up on Wednesday.

And on top of all that I had an email from Danielle saying I have been picked as one of the Guest Designers for her Q Tea kit, I'm the lucky March girl :) can't wait to see what I will get to play with!!! What a wonderful opportunity and I am very thankful to Danielle for choosing me, in amongst all those other amazing people!! And AND the lovely Lusi mentioned me on her blog because she found my work inspiring... ME??!! So glad I could inspire someone, amazed I can inspire someone with so much talent and chuffed she mentioned it :) so pinching myself a little today ;) Thanks Danielle and Lusi, for beliveing in me :)
