A whole lot of Lucy and a little bit of Dave

Today has been a busy day and one of those days where everything was against me not with me lol

Mum and Dad showed up before lunch and took Elizabeth with them for a little holiday at their house. So the afternoon was spent with Lucy.

Doesn't she look cute??!!! Love the hair hanging out the top!!

Then she found this amusing. You flick the sheet up and then run over the top...

And then there is this, butter wouldn't melt!!!

Yesterday I created this of my best friend :)

**WARNING** Photo overload

But hopefully worth it ;)
Thought I would share some photos of my scrappy space, yes jumping on the band wagon!!

So this is where I sit to scrap.

Behind the wall on the right is the lounge and along that wall is my computer (and Daves, yes we sit side by side). Right behind me is a nook where the sewing machine lives.

Above, on shelves, are my most loved scrap mags, cardboard and other bits and pieces. I store my MM foam stamps by hanging them off a box lip with pegs

Very cute little pegs ;)

This is my tissue paper, cardboard, bubble warp box

I use an old clothes basket to store my go to stuff, like lettering, rubons, felt etc. The basket lives under my table at my feet, easy access.
I keep all my paper scraps, even small pieces. I store them in this clear bag and that also lives under the table.
Next to my table is a book case. On top of that I store
My buttons

Quotes from the kids or page ideas are stored here, just couldn't throw it out and can't find the other one!

Use a pot rack to store my punches, paints etc

Covered some tins with PP and ribbon and made a pen box, pencil tin, ink pad tin and a tin for my threads.

This cool noodle box was made by Josiane and given to me for Christmas, now its used to store my scrappy fabric!

The fairy floss container came in handy, use it to store all my chipboard.

So there you have it!! Thats my scrap area, until the table is needed for something else then everything gets pulled off it lol

So on to other stuffs :) Here is photo of my cool Happy Mail from Marlies, thanks again!!

Today Lucy and I went and picked up 2, yes 2!!, of these

Got them through Freecycle. Love this concept and highly recommend joining one in your area. So now I have a type writer I can use it for things like this :)

Speaking of Megan, she jumped in the deep end at swimming today!! Very brave and I am very proud :0)
I also completed another page in my art Journal today.

I wanted it to be an exclamation (!) rather than a question and feel that it applies to so may things in my life not just my art journal or scrapbooking. I want to add colour to people's lives.

Our baby is now 3!!

Yep today Lucy had her 3rd birthday.

Will let the photos tell the story :)

Dog from Grandma and Grandpa, money from Granny and Grandpa and the doll from us. Mum and Dad came for tea and she got a beach pack (with ball, bucket etc) and a puzzle.

She chose the pink cake, as her favourite colour is pink

She blew and blew but just couldn't blow the candles out so Dave helped guide her head lol

Yes it was a monster size strawberry, straight from Poppy's strawberry patch!

She had a good day, had a milk milo for morning tea as she had requested a chocolate milkshake. So seems to be enjoying being 3 :)

Today has been a busy day. Church this morning and then this afternoon Dave spent time getting things ready for a garage sale, weather permitting, next weekend. I spent the time going through my scrap stuff and generally tiding up while the girls were busy outside. I took this photo of them while they played in the sunroom. Megan was the photographer, Lucy the waitress while Elizabeth and Jessica were in the restaurant.

Started this page yesterday and only added the ribbon today. Really like it how it is and just didn't want to do anymore to it :)

Linda, cream cake... cake with cream lol in this case it was a sponge cake with strawberry jam (otherwise known as jelly but known here as jam) and cream in the middle. Was delish and I wish I had taken a photo to share with you all :)

Hope you've had a super weekend

Thanks for visiting :0)

Sent home with cream cake!

Yep! Went to Karina's for Bradley's 5th birthday and came home with a plate full of cream cakes!! Supper anyone??!!
So that was our afternoon.
You can tell the seasons are about to change, been cold, wet and windy and it's meant to snow on the highlands!!
Oh some house work...
Linda, the post pack was red (very cool) so no I didn't paint it... just cut it up, it was like a knife through butter OH sooo easy!! Also used the post pack for the lettering on the mojo page.
Jenny, I love having you visit and LOVED that you commented :) thanks for your friendship, one day we will meet!!

Don't forget to leave a comment as you might just win a RAKity RAK!!!

Thank you!!

Well folks I just have to say thank you!! Since adding a visitor counter to my blog I have now reached a huge milestone! Clocked over 10,000 visitors!!! Think that is a reason to celebrate!! SOOOOOOO Anyone who leaves a comment between now and Sunday night (it's Friday night right now) will be in with a chance to win a pretty cool RAK. The RAK will depend on you and you will be given a choice, but it will be worth entering :)

On to our day :)

This is how Lucy and Elizabeth spent most of it... playing together very happily. Right now they are in bed yakking to each other. Can hear them and it makes me smile, although I have to go growl, oh I mean remind them to be quiet, so they settle down and sleep lol

Took this photo for the challenge over at We Spy : You Spy the word prompt being Cold. This is my arm, I get goosebumps and my hairs stand on end when I get cold.
This afternoon I scrapped this page for the challenge at Scrap Mojo. You had to use the quote 'I have a dream' and a tag. I had fun using things I wouldn't normally have used, so the layout is a little bit different and thrown me right out of where I was, but fun :)
Will leave you with some pizza. It's a grass one Lucy made today :)
Thanks for visiting and remember to comment so you have a chance to win a RAK :)

How many sneezes do you do??

When I get a sneeze attack I sneeze and sneeze and sneeze.. Yep just had one ick

Anyway...

Megan came home from school yesterday with the news that she had been elected into the student council for school. She was over the moon and shocked that someone new to the school could get this opportunity after only being there a few days. Was really good to see her happy.

Last night I went to scrap but had no motivation to do a layout so instead I caught up on my This is me journal pages.
This one is for the 'ticket to ride' page. I would just go on holidays, destination wherever!

This one is for the latest challenge, favourtie city

Today I was still lacking the motivation to scrap a layout but after pushing things around I decided to pull out the photo album that came in a Qtea kit and I covered that, with material from another Qtea kit, the quote was also in one of the kits.

Have started putting random photos from 2007 in there. Photos that remind me of things or photos that I love.

Covering this was good mojo because I was surfing some blogs and read about a challenge that Brigitte had set, using her new coffee set as inspiration. So, always up for a good challenge and loving the colours, I created this, about Megan's wonderful news.

Used things from various Qtea kits, the butterflies were flowers (from Marlies) that I snipped the stem and turned them into butterflies and the hearts are cut from the post pack I got from Rebecca. Love using things up ;)

Think that's about it, nice day around home with Elizabeth and Lucy.

Busy Wednesday

but all good :)

Took the girls to school and then Lucy and I headed over to spend the morning with Bron (and Murray hehe). Was sooo nice! Lucy was really good, which meant more time for me to sit and chat to Bron, miss that sometimes :)

Megan has Guides tonight so thought I would jump online and blog now while I had the chance.

Made this last night. Have been keeping odd pieces of cardboard for a while so it was nice to just pull it out, cut it up and make this :)

Had these photos and really wanted them together so made this mini album, just nice and simple as I cut the cardboard so it would fit the photos without having to crop or add anything.

Whirlwind day

Yep a busy one here :)
School, shopping, swimming.
Had a phone call to say Megan could start a learn to swim group, someone had pulled out.
Thankfully Dave was free so we dropped Megan off at his work, after school, and he took her.
Meanwhile we came home to cook dinner before Dave went to soccer training.
Hoping to scrap tonight :)
The lovely Bekka tagged me
Five Random things about me...
1 Was engaged for 2 months before we got married and we paid/organised it all, apart from the dress which my Mum made. Wedding for under $500 and it was perfect :)
2 Had my drivers licence for 20 years
3 My grade 1 class went to Melbourne for the day. Bus left for the airport early, went to the zoo, got back late... Very cool day trip ;)
4 Love swings
5 Suck at tags!!

So I am piking, as usual, and tagging anyone who wants to play. Just make sure you let me know you played because I would love to see your random facts :)

New starts and new creations

Do you think someone was excited about starting school for the first time??

My three school girls

Lucy and I survived the day, although she was very quiet, she helped me with the washing and seems to have taken the role of Mummy's little helper, which is nice :) Elizabeth had a really good day, highlight was the chocolate her teacher gave her!!!

Last night, while the cricket was on, I scrapped my One Little Word challenge, using the word Trust.

Tag are from Veronica's Etsy store, sticker and photo corners from Qtea and the paperclips were in the RAK I got from Kristi. Glad I am finally using things!!

And after picking Elizabeth up from school, having lunch etc I quickly did this one, about Elizabeth :)

Mushroom and sticker are from Qtea :)

Hope your Monday has been a good one, it's been very warm here today and meant to be hotter tomorrow, promised the girls we would have icypoles when we got home from school tomorrow!!
