Hooley Dooley Miss Hooley!!

What a day!!!

It started with an email to say that I was featured here. I was shaking with excitement and couldn't look!! I have since had a peek and OH MY, WOW!!! Am stunned and grateful to Angie for ever finding me (lol) and for the write up. I love her site and the wealth of information that she provides.

Elizabeth's kinder teacher had asked us to see our GP so we could be referred to an Occupational Therapist in hope that they could help us with Elizabeth's Gross Motor Skills, which are also delayed. So I rang on Wednesday and got an appointment for today. We dropped Megan and Jessica off at school and, rather than going back home, we headed into town to fill in some time before the doctors appointment. Had some errands to run and then I thought we would go to the Museum and see the new exhibition they have, Islands to Ice.
So we were in town before 9am, just in time to see this
It's the cat and fiddle, in one of the shopping arcades here in Hobart. Anyone who grew up here would have been to see it, it is a Hobart icon! On the hour the 'Cat and the Fiddle' song plays, a cow comes out from behind the moon, a dog appears and the dish and spoon also make an appearance. There used to be a fountain near there too, with squirty things that we all used to put our fingers over, but that was removed years ago and now there are shops in the 'fountain-less' space.
Errands run so now we went to the museum. Elizabeth was excited, she had been with her kindergarten class earlier in the year, so she knew what was what!
They enjoyed steering a bigger ships wheel

The loved the 'puddle' of ice that was on display

We left but still had time to fill so we went and had a babycino/caramel latte before heading down to the Drs. Short story about the Dr. appointment is that we got our referral and also one to see a paediatrician. So after we had lunch, our doctor's surgery is now located next to McDonald's so they girls love it when we have a lunchtime appointment, we headed to the place where we had to take the referrals.
We get there and the lovely receptionist informs me that the one and only paediatrician that they had resigned this morning! Perfect timing NOT. So she didn't know what was happening with appointments but once we get to see the occupation therapist they can refer us to a paediatrician outside their organisation. Now we just wait 3-4 weeks for the first appointment.
So by now I had a headache and would have loved to come home but it was only a bit over an hour till school pick up time so it wasn't worth coming home so we went to Kmart to kill some more time!!
Dave had a soccer game for work tonight. A friendly social game against another company, his side lost, with a bbq after. So its been a rather long day for me, glad the girls were tired and went straight to sleep.
And because of the way the day has been, I just had to get this one out and on to paper. Adore this photo of Miss Elizabeth.

As always thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a lovely weekend.

PJ Day

Yep today was pyjama day at school. Megan had said she didn't want to wear them but when the new day dawned she was just as excited about wearing her pyjamas to school as Jessica and Elizabeth were, which was VERY!!!

Love it when I can scrap a page the same day as it happens ;)

Just love the Sassafras Lass range

You can find them at Love Scrappin' and Suzie told me that she has preordered the new Life at the Pole range so make sure you sign up for the newsletter at Love Scrappin' so you know when it comes in stock.

Today I also scrapped a page for the new prompt at One Little Word. The word was imagine. So I wrote about Megan and Epidermolysis Bullosa. When she was born we were told there was chance she might not survive, as lots of EB babies don't. We were told to imagine life without her.

Today the sun shone in the gorgeous blue sky

so we spent most of the afternoon outside

Yes Elizabeth stayed in her pjs all day and made salad

Took some really nice photos of Lucy but they all have shadows in the wrong places so you can't quite see the glint in her cheeky eyes

but you can imagine

can't you????!!!

Dave picked Megan up from Guides tonight and came in saying you should get your camera

tonight they had a potter come in and showed them how to do some clay modelling

love what Megan made and will take another photo tomorrow of her finished dogs, she wants to paint them so I think they will need a long time to dry!

Will leave you with this, go see the front page of Karens Scrappin Kupboard, it made me smile with surprise when I went to visit. Hopefully the page will stay that way for a while so you can see :)

The truth is out there...

and sometimes you need to just get it out.
I have had the yearning to write since we were away.
I searched for a cheap notebook but could only find books that were $10 or more and knew that wouldn't do.
So I waited.
And today I finally got the chance to rid my mind and let the words float onto paper.
Really want to write and write and write and am going to do so.
Yesterday I received My Sweet Spuds kit and had to play so here are 2 pages I created this afternoon, between speech therapy, lunch and school pick up,

Used a scrap piece of paper, punched holes in it and used it as a mask.

While the girls were at Mum and Dad's shack they were attacked by mosquitoes so came home with lovely bites. Today I figured out that Jessica has had a bite reaction to the mossies. We knew she reacted to bee stings so now we know its the same with mosquitoes. She has a few on her legs and they now have red blotches around them and are swollen and hard, so she went to bed with a dose of antihistamine and tomorrow, I hope, they will look a little better. She asked me to take photos of her on the swing this afternoon. She is so proud of herself that she can swing really high now!

Took this photo today, just for Grandma ;)
They are getting bigger!!! Sad that there are a number on the ground that little fingers or the wind got to.
Will leave you with another sneak peek at what I did with Scrap-n-Crop's November kit
Ciao

My Feet Have Landed

but my head is still floating due to being OH SO TIRED!

Dave and I had a nice time. Didn't take oodles of photos, weather was very dismal while we were there, rained lots and we didn't see blue sky till we left. But here are some of the photos I did take.

On the first day I left Dave at his work thingee and I walked around lots, got lost, not really cos I had a map, and was in awe of the closeness of the bushland to the city. Took this shot of the HUGE ferns

took the photo while standing back here

We stayed at 2 hotels, we figure if you move hotels you get a different view etc. This was the view from the first hotel, which overlooked the harbour

So I was quite happy to sit and watch the fountain

or the airplanes

or the boats

Seeing the shuttle buses running on the electric system made me smile and miss Melbourne

Got lost and found my way past the 'Beehive'

On the Saturday Dave and I caught the cable car

we wandered through some of the Botanical Gardens

and then caught the cable car back down.

and that is all the photos I have!!

Flight home from Melbourne was an hour late so we didn't arrive back home till 11pm but thankfully Mum and Dad had all the girls in bed asleep. The girls had a fantastic time at Mum and Dad's shack. So good in fact that we had photos sent to my mobile at around 5pm the day we left. They were at the beach playing already lol.

So in other news....

here is a sneak peek of a page I made with the Scrap-n-Crop November kit.

The kit will be available 1st November along with full views of the creations from myself and Rachel.
Also there was an email awaiting me, an exciting one!!! Karen from Karen's Scrappin' Kupboard had invited me to join her design team!!! WOW!! I am excited about this because it's a Tasmanian based scrap shop and I am looking forward to being part of her team!!
Been a full on busy day today so am off to watch CSI and try and solve the case before they do ;)
