Don’t Let The Sunrise Fool You!

100_5823

This is how the day started, looking mighty fine, but the rest of the day was rainy with only a few gaps in the clouds for the sunshine to peek through. Soccer training, for the girls, was cancelled and Dave decided to pike out of his session too.

Today I booked our trip away, to see Grandma, in our September school holidays. This year we are going to catch the boat  so that will be a FUN adventure :) :) Looking forward to the time away together and catching up with Dave’s Mum.

Today I also finished off the mini album I have been making with Vee’s Delight Workshop

The cover

Love all the layers, looks a little different to how it started doesn’t it?!

100_5839

the final pages

and I forgot to take a close up of the journaling on this one

Swinging into Monday

Completed Day 5 and 6 of Vee’s Delight Workshop today, now just have 2 pages and the cover to finish off

100_5815 100_5817 100_5819 100_5820

and because I was inspired by the pages I made I decided to make a layout with 2 of the things I loved playing with in the mini, brackets and the paint and doodling around the white bordered photo :)

My Tuesday is looking much like my Monday, around home, apart from the usual soccer training for Megan and Jessica. Dave is also hoping to train tomorrow night, being he will be away Thursday. Liking my ‘slower’ week, so far :)

Poppy Had A Little Lamb

It made the children laugh and play

to see a lamb at our house :)

No that’s not beer it’s special milk, for the lamb, that Dad brought with him so the girls could feed her.
Well Dad survived ;)
The girls were wonderfully good :)
Elizabeth got upset when it was time for us to go, which them made Lucy cry, but I talked to them and they were good when we left, yay :)
Our team came last in the quiz night so we came home with 4 lollipops, just perfect if you ask me lol

A new week about to dawn and it’s going to be another busy one, with Dave out a few nights and away another.
Will leave you with some sneak peeks at the pages I made for Scrap-n-Crop using the August kit

Wish Him Luck!

My Dad is coming to babysit the girls while Dave and I head out to the a quiz night at school
It’s only the second time Dave and I have been out together this year and the very first time that Dad has had all four girls by himself, I am sure he, and them lol, will survive :)

Today the weather was kind to us

which was good because the ground was wet and Jessica’s soccer field still had a big puddle, in which she did this OFTEN

Just because she could…
While we were there I took Elizabeth and Lucy for a little stroll, so I could take some photos :)

After we had washed off from all the soccer mud Elizabeth and I got ‘baking’ as a reward for her getting five stars on her big and brave chart

We made Honey Joys and they are yummo :)

and last night I finished off Day 4 of Vee’s Delight Workshop

Well Dad has now arrived, with a lamb that he is feeding, so the girls are a LITTLE excited lol

Move ‘n’ Sit

Elizabeth’s physio had suggested we try out a Move ‘n’ sit cushion
So today we went and bought one

I think she likes it
just another thing in our quest to find things to help out this little chickadee :)

Lucy and I only had a short visit to my Great Aunt’s today
Her ducted heating still wasn’t on so she told us to go because it was too cold
So we did a few things around her house and came home, via McDonalds and a scrap shop because I need some cardstock :)
Tonight we took the girls out for pizza/pasta and then to the chocolate shop
Fun :)
Dave’s soccer game for tomorrow had a time change which meant he can’t play, because the girls have their games at that time, so we are down to 2 games tomorrow instead of 3. I’m not complaining ;)
Made a quick start on Day 4 of Vee’s Delight Workshop just about to print a photo and maybe do some more on that… we will see… I’m tired lol

An Orange Balloon, A Sleeping Angel, A Red Carpet Event

And a bit of art thrown in….
Phew tired yet??!!

Tonight Megan’s class had a red carpet event to show off the photo stories they had been working on this year
Each of the kids were given a task and Megan was part of the photographers aka paparazzi and had to take photos as everyone arrived
An invite was sent home and Dave was told that everyone, EVERYONE, was getting dressed up
So tonight they got ready to go
Dave in his black tie attire

100_5706

and Megan in her press outfit

100_5711

I rang them, as Dave was about to stride up the red carpet, and had a giggle as he was the only person there dressed up for the occasion :) Just another reason I love him :)

Today Lucy and I spent time around home, yay :)
We spent some time kicking a balloon around the house and then she had some laughs watching herself in a mirror as her hair lifted with the static

100_5696

Not sure but I think there are lip marks on the mirror… Nothing would surprise me in this house full of girls!!
And speaking of no surprises… This was how we just found Lucy when Dave and Megan got home

100_5714

asleep on her bedroom floor… I woke her and put her back to bed because it’s meant to be only 1 degree overnight, brrr

Today I got up to date on the Vee’s Delight Workshop

Day 2

Journaling

I also thought I would have a go at the Cocoa Daisy Design challenge that Christine set

100_5678

Took the photo back in January and knew what I wanted to do with it just hadn’t felt the ‘call’ to scrap it, so yesterday I pulled it out and played

100_5667

I also challenged myself to use some of the things I had ‘been saving’ so pulled out some Sassafras Lass stickers

100_5666

and cut into some Basic Grey, Hambly and Kelly Panacci paper
I also used stamps that I bought a while ago from Leigh-Ann’s Frecklednest Etsy Store, they were too cute to pass up :) The stamps are only $6US and she has more in her store, if your interested :) :)

100_5677

Also pulled one of my Dymos out of hiatus :)

Tomorrow is another full day
Elizabeth has speech therapy before school and then Lucy and I are off to visit my Great Aunt, who we haven’t seen for 2 weeks because we have had colds. Hoping she has her new ducted heating working so it will be toasty warm :)
