Pretty Cool Lot Of Fellows, Aren't You?

Don’t know about you but I could do with a lie down!
Hi to all those visiting my bloggy and taking part in the Banana Frog blog hop
This is my first one and I’m glad I finally got to join in
I have a little image of ittsy bittsy frogs leaping over each other
anyways….
I thought I would show you a page I made and hope it actually encourages you to create
This is my Christmas themed page
100_3478
and the journaling
100_3479
For this page I used the Retro Christmas and the Christmas Elegance packs
100_3480
I used the string of lights, from the Retro Christmas pack, as a border before heat embossing in white
100_3481
and I also used the snowflake, from the Christmas Elegance pack, and heat embossed some red for the centres
I then used my white and black pens to doodle around them
What I love about this technique is that it is a great way to learn how to doodle and it is super quick, effective and easy
I even got asked if I had doodled the snowflake, now that’s effective Smile
100_3482
I used my dymo labeller, with some clear dymo tape, and also used up some old lettering
100_3484
Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to leave a comment with your name and blog details for your chance to win some Banana Frog stamps Smile Winner drawn Thursday night, 2 days time
Now on to the next person in the blog hop Nat

Indicate Precisely What You Mean To Say

This page has been brewing for a while
Something I have been wanting to say
Something I have wanted her to know
Something that was put onto paper today

100_3444

here is why it was today:

100_3448

I glittered up some Scrapmatts Butterflies
Using the same technique that I used yesterday, with my Xyron
But this time I added some pattern paper behind the chipboard

100_3449

Pulled out the wood grain contact paper
Distressed some paper
Punched some holes
Did some doodling
Got my sewing machine back on track

100_3450

and just had fun Smile

100_3451

So now I have a new favourite layout Smile
Good stuff Smile

Created using Cardstock: American Crafts, Pattern paper: Sassafras Lass, Rub ons: Jenni Bowlin and Making Memories, Lettering: American Crafts and Basic Grey, Stamp: Scenic Route, Chipboard: Scrapmatts, Pearls: Kaiser, Punch: EK Success, Flower: Basic Grey, tag, typewriter, wood grain contact paper, glitter and ink

I Hear The Clock A'Ticking

Today I spied that the November Scrap The Boys challenge was to use chipboard
and with the new Scrapmatts products “burning a hole in my pocket”, so to speak…
well, lets just say I was inspired!
And made this page, of Grandma and her 3 boys

100_3436

The Scrapmatts chipboard is so amazing
I ran this border through my Xyron create a sticker
Then I covered the sticky side with glitter
before running the chipboard back through the Xyron to make the back adhesive

100_3440

The chipboard is thinner than normal chipboard so it goes through without a problem
and because it is laser cut the detail is just amazing
See the clock I used??

100_3443

the tiny details are amazing (and gorgeous!)
PS did you see my little play on words, hence the clock laying down and under the photo??
Over Time…
OK… giggling to myself while the silence is deafening Smile Smile Smile

I'm A-Walkin' In The Rain

Rainy day today
One school girl home from school
Jessica needed a rest from her cold
and the 2 bleeding noses she had yesterday
and the combined primary school choir practice she has yesterday
which was followed by a swim lesson
By the afternoon she was rejuvenated!

I thought I would scrap something
What I love about the challenge blogs is that they make scrapping easy
make it quick
So today I gave the Aussie Scrapjack blog a squizz
and created this page

100_3409

and today I received some bits and pieces from Scrapmatts
So just had to add one of these gorgeous birds straight away!

100_3415

Right…
Back to the Jack…
I was inspired by this months challenge and in particular:
1. the red and yellow combo that Tanya used
2. the circle on Kell’s page
and 3. the patchwork-y look of the bag Nic made

100_3412

so added some red and yellow circles to my page

100_3423

seems my sewing machine didn’t like cooperating today either

100_3422

but I used some old stash and that made me happy

100_3421

as does using my dymo to journal Smile
