X-Press It Blog Hop

Hello to all those visiting today as part of the X-Press It blog hop.
The Design Team have all been busy creating some great things to share with you.
I’ve created a canvas using various products from X-Press It.
IMG_3209
I started by using a canvas, covered it with X-Press It’s Triple Tac
Then, using the transfer technique, I adhered some Hazel & Ruby tissue paper.
IMG_3206
I then used some of the Hazel & Ruby Stencil Masks

And covered it with different paint mediums, also from X-Press It.

I then added some twine to give it some texture, which is what I thought was missing.

  4. Beautiful canvas Sharmaine, I love the colour combination. I get my inspiration from nature (beautiful colours and shapes in different seasons) and my Husband's photo's. And also of course from people's projects they created. There are so many talented people out there.

  6. Gorgeous canvas and journal Sharmaine! I get my inspiration from just about everything and anything hehe, I think my mind is constantly looking for inspiration and since I discovered Copics years ago, I am always looking at people's hair and clothing for shading/colouring ideas. I love challenge blogs and looking at the DT creations and challenge winners' cards for creative new ideas. I love card magazines, all my craft goodies give me ideas too. 12. Love this canvas! The colour is just gorgeous!!! And the colour in the journal page is amazing as well! Colour, texture and the work of others are some of the things that inspire me...besides my kids of course! I find inspiration anywhere I can - blogs, Pinterest, Facebook, magazines, and sometimes it's just from things I see in everyday life - book covers, wrapping paper, t-shirts...you name it! X

  18. Seeing all these new blogs to follow I am totaly inspired to start my own. Right now I am being heavily influenced by Mary Doodles and Emily Wayne Illustration. I am trained as a graphic designer but all I want to do now is draw pictures. I am adding to my marker set bit by bit but OMG I would SOOOOOO give all these the best home ever! I've started a new Facebook page Doodeloly www.facebook.com/doodeloly so all my friends and family can keep up with my Daily Doodle project. I am doing at least one doodle a day Practice makes perfect right?

  21. I love looking at great card designers on you tube and card magazines. Now that i have entered blog land and design teams, all the other very talented crafters out there constantly inspire me to do better every time I create a card.

  22. I've recently started my own blog to capture my creations with the hope that it inspires at least one person just as your blog has been inspirational to me. Lately, I've been following two American paper crafters who have inspired me to venture into the world of Copics. So much so that I've been watching their Youtube channels. I simply love watching videos featuring Copic markers being used to colour in The Greeting Farm's characters and Disney's Frozen's characters. I've been sharing these with my 6 year old daughter who simply loves them. (Some much needed Mummy-Daughter time since the birth of her baby brother 3 months ago) She's now "blending" her colouring just like in the videos! She inspires me to not limit my creativity to a certain palette but rather to use all the colours to give my creativity life!

  25. Well I know that I've learnt heaps along the way on this wonderful hop and I'm not to sure about growing talent wise but my list of what I think I need in the crafting department is definitely growing. *Smiles* Your project is oozing with freshness and it's going to brighten any wall that you hang it on and it's sure to bring a smile to all that pass it. Thanks so much for the inspiration Sharmaine and wishing you many more crafting hours of happiness. =)....It's people like you and the whole team that inspire me. =)

  26. I'm inspired by great colour combinations - which I find all around me; in nature, on the internet, other people's craft, and more recently in museums while travelling overseas. I was so inspired by colour and pattern, particularly in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; I came home with lots of ideas to create!

  27. That background is fab! There is so much around to inspire but I find that a phrase, or an image, or some poetry will set me off.

  28. Colour and texture inspire me. Being able to build layers with paint, paper, colour, ephemera or anything with as much or as little as required for each creation.
