Totally Tuesday

whatever that might mean :)
Not much to tell about the day... home reading with a kid at school, mucking about with Elizabeth and Lucy till we got Jessica from school. Booked Mum's flight home. Mucked about with Elizabeth and Jessica till we woke Lucy to go get Megan. Lucy had her fingers jammed in a door, was pretty yuck without the blood. Looked like her knuckle had disappeared and her little finger was flat, but it went back to normal shape later. Called Dave, who came home to check on it but it was almost back to normal by then. I now know that Lucy knows how to say hurt ;)

Monday mayhem

It has been a rather busy Monday. Grocery shopping, returning library books, visit to the chicken shop, bank as well as the usual monday washing and school...
In the mail today were my 2 $30 cheques from Emailcash so we got to bank those. Coolies, oh too easy!
Not much else to tell about the day, so hope your week has started out kindly and if not hope it improves as the week unfolds :)

Glorious Sunday

What a beautiful day it turned out to be! Was meant to be cold, which it was at times, and wet, which it wasn't. We went to Shane and Anna's for lunch, to celebrate Imogen's 1st birthday. The sunshine was just glorious! It did get very cold at times but it was a lovely day.

Last night Allison came over for tea and we scrapped together and both of us finished 2(!!) layouts each!!! So here are mine, Allison I didn't do anymore to Jessica's, as you can see!

Yesterday we went into town, got the girls a Wiggles CD with the voucher Mum sent them, joined Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth up for Spotlights kids club, bought Imogen's birthday pressy, looked around for a bit and Dave bought doughnuts. Dad called in for a little while in the afternoon, he was out this way at a hardware store. The girls had lots of fun jumping all over their Poppy and I think he quite enjoyed it too!!!

Friday night we had snow! Allison rang around 7.30pm to say it was settling on their porch, they are just above sealevel, and when I looked out our window you could see the snow mixed in amongst the rain. This photo is of Mt Wellington, from our front lawn, that I took Saturday afternoon. Certainly has been an amazing month of weather! 2 weeks ago we had bushfires and high temps!

Day out...

We went to visit Allison today. The girls enjoyed spending time playing with Allison's daycare kids and we all enjoyed spending time with Allison.
We were home by about 1.30-2 and Dave came home early, around 2.30.
That pretty much sums up the day :)
Tomorrow we are heading into town to spend a voucher that Mum sent the girls for the ABC shop and have a look around. So happy weekend everyone :)

a busy day of nothing...

That is how it has felt :) We have done lots of little things, on this sunshiny day off. Dave cleaned the highchair, put a hole in the garage door for a new door handle and made dumplings for pudding. We all went to buy some odds and ends and went to the hardware shop and Dave got a new elctric drill and hammer. We weeded the dandilions from the front and Dave swept the leaves up from the driveway. I planted some seeds, pottered about the garden, helped Dave here and there and cooked spag bog for tea that turned into lasagne (I can do magic lol). But I think the highlight for Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth was having their finger/toenails painted! Doesn't happen often and when it does its holidays or the like. So will leave you with photos of their painted nails :) Off to visit Allison and her daycare kids in the morning while poor Dave heads back to work for one day! Roll on the weekend ;) Oh and Dave's team lost Futsal lastnight, 8-0!!!!!!!!!!!

Our day at the show

Dropped Megan and Jessica off at school and then came home for a coffee before the rest of us piled into the van and headed down the road to the show. Met up with Jessica's class and walked around with them till 12.15 (kinder's end of school time) and then had lunch and found Megan's class. We stayed at the show till a little after 3.30.
They all enjoyed seeing everything, having their face painted, getting lots of stickers, making a CD-ROM of themselves singing the Wiggles song 'Big red car' (can't believe the ABC did all that for free, WOW!!), patting the animals and having the mandatory doughnut with Daddy!
Lucy chucked a tantrum early on, while out of the pram, and threw herself into the mud frontside down, so it was nice that she got that out of the way first thing ;) Her attitude changed once she had eaten something, as it does!
The weather was just perfect for the show. Started out chilly and there were showers on and off all day but we didn't get wet and it wasn't too hot for all the wandering around we did.
Didn't take my camera with me but took some photos when we got home. They each had a showbag, Freddo, and Lucy got an Elmo toy instead of a showbag. Leave you with photos of them all enjoying their purchases and also a layout I finished lastnight of Lucy. Enjoy :)

Humble apologies to my Blogger Editor XXX

Ok so Dave is right! He didn't do NOTHING, he put some of his photos in albums which was a huge accomplishment as the photos had been sitting around a long time waiting for such a time!
Ok so Dave is right it was ROSS bridge not Richmond.
Ok so Dave is right, I can't spell tress-ell table!
Ok so Dave is right that I love him oodles and I am sorry for allowing him to be soooo SUPER right *cheeky grin*!!
Now with that out of the way our day pales in comparrison :) But tomorrow is looking like fun, off to the show!! Yay
And I will leave you with a photo of Dave's certificate showing he is now a CPEng, he picked it up today, clever boy ain't he!

Ahhh I can sit down now!

What a super busy day, feels like now is the first chance I have had to stop, just as well I can!
We did the grocery shopping this morning, too much washing (but it is all dry and away YAY), got to play outside as well as general cleaning and running about :)
I got to ring Allison, wishing her a happy day and hope it was.
I got to ring Mel at Scrapilicious twice, I forgot one of the things that I rang about the first time! Thanks for your patience Mel!!
I got to ring Dave twice too, just to say love ya, cos I do!!
I got to take come photos of Jessica, Elizabeth and Lucy playing outside. So I reckon thats a good day, even though it was super busy!

Dave had his first after-work practice for his work play this afternoon, so tea was a little later tonight.
Started and finished this layout of Megan near the Richmond bridge. It talks about how the photo isn't quite what we expected but I still love it! Dave set up the new trestel table for me and he sat next to me watching the telly while I scrapped, was weird having him just sitting, but if he ain't gunna scrap he will have to twiddle his thumbs ;)

Ok I'm away now to pay the phone bill that came today :( NIGHT

Oh is it Sunday already??!!!

Where oh where did the weekend go??!! I WANT IT BACK WAAAAA :)
It sure has felt like it was over before it started! Lets see whats been happening...
Friday night Dave and I watched a movie, As good as it gets. Thought it was shorter than what it was, so it turned out to be a later night than hoped, but what can you do about that now!!!
Saturday morning started with Lucy whinging and that continued all day. Not sure what her problem is, I have a cold and am tired too but I don't whine all day long! lol The day also started with yummy pancakes for brekky, thanks Davie Babes. We then went to Big W to find baby shower present and some more pages for my scrap albums, they seem to fill up fast! I also bought some cold and flu tablets and having been taking them and feeling a lot better. Home for lunch and then I jumped in the car to drive up to Dysart. Was a lovely afternoon and great to catch up with friends that I hadn't seen FOREVER!!!
Came home as the girls were having tea and I went and bought Dave and I some after the girls had gone to bed. I wanted to get something from a new place that has opened, they make asian food, but TYPICALLY they were shut, for whatever reason, so we had Indian instead. Hoping to try the new shop one day!!
This afternoon we had lunch with Dad. The girls enjoyed being there again and loved his lolly stash!!! On our way home from Dad's we went to a liquidation sale and bought some new sheets/doona covers. We have wanted a new one for us for a while so its nice to have picked one up cheaply. Also got some single bed ones for the girls. Back home and we stripped the beds, washed the sheets and Dave cooked a bread and butter pudding that wasn't cooked in time for the girls to have some for pudding (hopefully he might leave them some to sample tomorrow!!).
The week coming up is a sort school week, with Thursday show day and Friday a student free day, but it is another busy one. Tuesday Megan is showing a book she made in Assembly so we will stay for that, Wednesday is our day at the show and Friday, if Dave doesn't have the day off, we will head down and visit Allison. If he has the day off I'm not quite sure what we will do but no doubt the day off will be used ;) Sweet dreams all!

Busy Friday

And thankful its the weekend!
We went to MOPS this morning, mostly just chatting but had our photos taken too. It was an opportunity for us Mums to have our photos taken with our kids, I decided to have mine done just by myself and then I will give it to Dave. School is doing a photo fundraiser in a few weeks so we will be having a family shot done then.
Allison called in with her day care kids, they had been out visiting Allison's Grandmother in the morning, and they stayed till it was time to get Megan from school.
So that wraps up our Friday :) Tomorrow I am going to a Baby shower in the afternoon, have to get a pressy in the morning. Happy weekending all :)

Darn it I am sick!

Head that feels like its full of helium, a nose that is REALLY full of snot, a throat that is tired of sneezing and the rest of me has gone out in sympathy! But what can ya do, solider on :) So today we dropped Megan and Jessica off, listened to one of the kids do their home reading, came home, watched the second part of the wiggle movie on telly (was quite good!), dealt with the washing, played, picked up Jessica, lunch, Lucy slept, Jessica and Elizabeth picked up the apricots that had been blown off onto the ground, played, got Megan, went to the park, home, cooked tea, ate tea (Yum roast lamb, new potatoes and vegies), did the bath thing, did the get in jammys thing, did the reading thing, said nite nite, and here I am :)
Dave didn't go to Futsal lastnight so we just had a night in front of the telly and in bed before 10. I was awake alot, as was Lucy who I went into a few times, so all of that just doesn't help my ickyness. Roll on Friday :) Will leave you with the conversation that I had with Jessica about going to MOPS tomorrow, hope you find it as amusing as I did :)
J: Are we going to MOPS after this day?
Me: tomorrow
J: after this day?
Me: tomorrow
J: Is tomorrow after this day???
Me: Today... Tomorrow...
J: Is that after this day?
Me: Its tomorrow.
J: So we are going to MOPS after this day then.
Me: Yes, tomorrow...

Puffy chest and snotty nose

I am feeling pretty pleased with myself... I completed not 1, not 2 BUT 3 layouts lastnight in just 2 hours!!! A huge accomplishment for me! So here they are:

Dave got home after 10pm and was very glad to be home again, but didn't like the fact he had to get up this morning to go to work :)
The rest of my day has been based around home, Dave even picked Megan up from school this arvo which was super nice and got to talk on the phone with Allison and later Bron, who finally has a SIM card for her mobile, so that was doubly nice :) It's been really windy all day but we got outside for a little while and enjoyed the sun.
As of late this afternoon, I have the starts of a cold. I knew I couldn't escape it after Lucy had sneezed on me not once but twice yesterday! :( So feeling snotty and glum :) Blerk :)

Another layout and thank goodness for delivery men!

Completed this layout last night

Today wasn't meant to be busy but it has been. Elizabeth, Lucy and I went and bought some more buttons from the craft shop and then ventured to the recycled toy shop. Shouldn't have gone in but we did and we came home with something for each of them. Megan and Jessica have a magic wand, a big clear tube, like a baton, filled with water and glitter. For Lucy I bought a tickle me Elmo (who could go past it!!).

Elizabeth wanted everything but in the end she got this 'doll house' with the people and things for a school. I knew she would love playing with it and was pleased to see I wasn't wrong :)

We have also spent some time outside, enjoying the sunshine, and riding their bikes in the courtyard part of the backyard and we also got to walk thru the reserve to school. I think the sun loved my face as I can feel where it has been, just slightly. Was warm enough for us to have an icypole when we got home from school this afternoon.
Dave rang at 5.30pm to say he was just about to leave so he won't be home till after 10pm as it's a 4.5 hour drive from there. We rang and had pizza delivered for tea. The girls loved it and I think Lucy enjoyed watching out the window for the man with tea!! I am just glad the pizza man is a good cook, that tea was scoffed down and the girls are now in bed, Megan is still reading.

Scrapped and survived

I finished this layout of Lucy lastnight. It still took me ages to finish, even though I only had a small bit to do!! But almost happy with it ;)
Today has been jam packed. We went and bought tickets for the show, in the end I only needed to buy tickets for Dave and I as Under 5's are free YAY. Did the gorcery shopping, washing and went to the fruit shop after getting Megan.
Spoke to Dave just a while ago, they still hadn't finished their work and then need to drive to Stanley, where they are staying tonight, so they can go to Smithton tomorrow. At least that's what I think he said :) So its been a long day for him and probably will be another tomorrow. He's not sure when he'll be home then.
Night and hugs to you all :) :)

Impressionable

The girls and I watched the Nickeloeden Kid Awards this afternoon. Throughout the show they talked about the celeberity burper award. By the end of the show Elizabeth was walking around with a block as a microphone and asking each of us to burp. I could but oblige and smile :) Just shows how much kids do soak up from the telly ;) Jessica, by the way, doesn't like slime and doesn't understand why people would ask to have the green gunk poured over them!
This morning we went and picked Dad up from the airport and got some KFC for lunch to eat at his place. Came home in time for a coffee before Dave headed back out the door. He should, as I type this, be almost at Ulverstone, where he is staying for the next 2 nights while working at Burnie. Ha! He just rang to say he had arrived, so he's there safely :)

Snoozey, shivery and shoppy Saturday

Last night was fun, Josiane and Allison arrived as tea was about to be served. We had a lovely roast beef dinner and later Dave cooked us some yummy dumplings, as requested! I started a layout of Lucy but the procrastinating got the better of me and it is still incomplete.
We were up first thing this morning, we took the girls to check out little athletics and that started at 8.30. It was very cold and windy so after an hour we came home. Jessica got to go in the 150m race while Megan went in a 400m and learnt how to throw the shot put. Both girls came 5th in their running. Elizabeth also participated in 'little tots' and loved running around. They want to go back again but not sure how it will all work as logistically both Dave and I will need to be there and that means Lucy too and if the weather was like it was today... well BRRRR.
After lunch Dave made me have a nap and then after Lucy woke we went to the hardware store. I wanted to get some paint that makes the surface magnetic but the didn't sell it, hadn't for years. We ended up with a new door handle for the garage and a new ironing board.
Off to the airport in the morning to pick up Dad. He had to go back up to Darwin as his Brother died up there last week and the funeral was on Thursday. So the girls are looking forward to seeing him again. Still haven't heard what Mum is planning on doing but am sure we will find out soon enough :)

Another hot day

I'm hoping to have a bath soon and pop into my pjs, its been a hot, windy day, meant to have reached 33 and currently its 27.3.
Last night Dave had Futsal, they lost 4-5, and I completed this layout of Elizabeth that I started at the retreat.
We had fun with our 'Ben visit' today. I am sure he thinks that girls are a little barmy but hey thats just how it goes!!!
Yay its Friday tomorrow :)

Boy its been windy today!!!

And hot! Tomorrow is meant to be hotter with more wind. We get to have Ben come visit for the day so it will be fun entertaining them inside out of the heat and wind!
Thanks to everyone who has been visiting my lil' ol' blog and it is special that you have left comments, waving to Mae, from retreat, who snuck in here last night :)

Amanda dropped in this afternoon, was great to be able to catch up with her, she had the stamps I had bought from Stampin' Up! LOVE THEM!! Can't wait to use them on something, anything... look out Dave!!
Dave had a costume fitting today for an end of year production they are putting on at work. Its for the kids at Christmas time. The play is Aladdin and Dave plays the part of Wishy Washy who is Aladdin's brother. Will be interesting to see the results ;)
Megan and Jessica are going to the show in a couple of weeks time. So figured that while they were there the rest of us would go to! The school pays for them so we will only have to pay for Dave and I and Elizabeth and Lucy. Dave has taken the day off as flex and I'm excited :) Also on the excitement front, Dave has been asked to go to Melbourne for a course. Its for 2 days 30 Nov-1 Dec, and if things work out we are hoping that Mum might be back and able to look after the girls so I could go to and we would stay over the weekend too... Will see how that works out but it is very exciting, especially as that is just before our wedding anniversary and ohhhhh the Chirstmas shopping that could get done.....

Totally Tuesday

and I spose that a totally tuesday follows a manic monday but thats how it is!!
So backing up to yesterday, we did the grocery shopping, popped into Scrapilicious to say thanks to Mel and Sarah, washing x4, school and then back to school, after I had scoffed my tea, for a meeting. So on to today...
Dropped Megan and Jessica off at school then came home to put the washing on the line (YAY). Filled the rest of the day with lots of cuddles before Megan had a friend home after school. Not much else to share, other than Allison has some photos from the retreat on her blog so why not head on over there to check us loonys out!! Oh and Julie has one of all the gals at the retreat :)
And I just opened an email from Sarah, via Allison, and found this photo, OH SO SAD!! Its Josiane, Allison and I looking our best!
Hope you still have a full bladder after viewing!!

Thanks to Dave's mates who ate all the lollies on Friday night, while playing computer games, but didn't touch the Easter Chocolate Bunnies that Dave was meant to desperately try and get rid of before Easter comes around again! Maybe next time!

Happy birthday Grandma!!!

It was lovely to talk to you on the phone and nice to hear you have had a wonderful day! Hope the rest of it is just as happy!! So yes, its my most wonderful-ist Mother in-law's birthday today, the girls all made cards for her and did a good job too!
Well I have packed up all my scrap stuff, so that part is already for our trip tomorrow. Dreading unpacking it lol and worse still packing it all again!!
Finished this layout of Megan, and her pet spud, last night. Not 100% happy with it, although I like aspects of it.

Dave's team won their futsal game last night, so they are off to a good start!
Today has been school, reading with one of the kids at school, a spot of shopping and the usual around home stuff.
Allison is coming in the morning and Josiane, who had to work for a little bit, is coming around 10 to pick us up. We are heading up via Launceston and checking out some of the scrap shops up there. The retreat doesn't start till 5 but we will be well and truly there before then. Look forward to sharing my layouts and photos with you when I get back :) Have a lovely weekend!

And it has been a rather fast day at that! Up at 4am with Jessica's nose bleed and then up at 6.30am to start our day....
Did some home reading at school this morning, home to deal with the washing, Allison came to visit (which was lovely!), baked some choc chip cookies (double batch so I can take some away), had an icypole after getting Megan from school (was warm today!), we had pizza for tea and Dave is off later to play his first game of Futsal for the season, he is playing for work team as they have 3 playing! Not much else to share... started a layout lastnight which I hope to do alittle more on tonight. 2 sleeps to go!!

Another sunny day

Got my 3/4 pants on today! Hot one tomorrow so I had to prepare my legs for it ;)
Well our big news is that Dad got home yesterday so arrived here after school and stayed for tea. All the girls were thrilled to see him and wouldn't leave him alone!! He had a t-shirt for each of them, which they promptly put on. The photo is the best one, so you will have to excuse Lucy's finger up her nose, poor tyke is still really flu-y.
Went in to Scrapilicious today, I had some papers on order and they had arrived. Mel asked if I was ready for retreat!! Hmm, nup would be the short answer :) Only 3 sleeps and still more nervous than excited.
The rest of the day was filled up with a visit to the fruit and veg, school, playing, washing and enjoying time in the sunshine.

Sleep, scrapping, sunshine, snot and stink!

The virus that the girls have is still lingering! Lucy, Elizabeth and Jessica have yucky coughs and Lucy is now on antiboitics to kick the cold and conjunctivitis. I made a 2 cloves of garlic salad dressing tonight, for tea, and it was GOOD!! I am still tasting the garlic! Hoping it helps in getting rid of these icks! Also got some more multi-vits for us all!
Well rolling back to yesterday... went and had my haircut etc then had some of my photos printed up before coming back home. Dave jumped in the car to head off to the Drs with Lucy and Megan (she had a gunky eye too so I wanted it check out, it has since cleared up but we have some drops just in case). He got home and we all had lunch. I then packed up the car and headed down to Josianes for a scrap night. I was tired and home again before 9.30pm :) completed 2 VERY BASIC layouts though (see below) of Megan's much loved Ralph and Jessica's Freddy. Just didn't have the energy to do much more, sadly! Mel was meant to go too but she has a virus, which I think is like what Lucy and Elizabeth had/have as she came up with, what sounds like, the same rash that Elizabeth and Lucy had. So hoping she gets better soon too!!!! It was a nice night scrapping and spending time with Allison and Joisane. Thanks guys :)

I was told to have a sleep today, I did as I was told, and I slept for over an hour and could have slept for a LOT longer!!! Thanks Dave ;) We have spent part of the day outside, was a lovely day, and Dave fired up the barbie and cooked our chicken kababs for tea, yum! Daylight savings started 2am today so it's nice to have used the extra daylight and beautiful sunshine.
