Jot Magazine Issue 4 – “I Love Summer”

Issue 4 of Jot Magazine is now out.
It is jam packed with amazing creations and inspiring words.

IMG_0260

I have a few pages within the magazine.

IMG_0251

This page was created for the Summer theme.

IMG_0252

It’s on page 119 of the magazine

IMG_0253

The photo even makes an appearance on the last page of the magazine too!
Love how the Chic Tags pattern paper fits this page perfectly!

Make sure you have a read through the magazine.
It’s free and available to read online.

Cocoa Daisy “Twelvie Selfie”

The January Cocoa Daisy kits are up and selling fast.
Because of the Christmas mail I didn’t get mine till late last week.
But I got stuck in and this is the first page I created.
IMG_0978
The best thing about getting the kit after Christmas was that I could use some Christmas snaps.
IMG_0974
Which is what I did here.
IMG_0980
Capturing a moment that will be looked back on in years to come.
IMG_0981
Because it’s not everyday that you’re twelve.
And it’s not everyday that you take a bunch of selfies…
Oh, hang on that’s not quite true!
It probably is an everyday occurrence!!

Looking For Fun, Chasing Some Honey Bees

Almost half way through the first week of the school holidays.
We’ve been enjoying the lack of schedule.
The girls have been reacquainting themselves with the trampoline, library books and hanging out.
It’s been good to watch.
The other day I posted my post on the D-lish Scraps  blog, you can it read HERE
I had fun playing with some gorgeous goodies

IMG_6109

doilies, pvc and crocheted

IMG_6110

flowers, resin and metal

IMG_6111

add a heart button and a whole lot of Chic Tags

IMG_6112

And the thoughts in my head were now on a page

IMG_6108

I also made a monochrome page

IMG_6078

Using a paperclip freebie (from Scrapbooking Memories Magazine) that I’ve had a while

IMG_6081

using washi tape to alter some alphas I’ve had a while

IMG_6083

and documented another moment in time.

IMG_6084

Although I got it wrong…
It was Anti-Bully Day not Harmony Day.
Doh!
Never mind, she knew what I meant!

Like The Moon And Stars And Midnight

Back in January I had a lovely email in my inbox.
It was from Cassie at Scrapbooking Memories Magazine
She asked if I would like to use a sketch to create a layout and a card
For the July edition of the magazine (Volume 14 No. 10)
I said yes and got to work to create this page

I’ve used some Chic Tags flair
The backing from some Sassafras Lass alpha stickers
A tea bag label, for the touch of green

I cut out an Elle’s Studio die cut
Stamped on a Cocoa Daisy chevron stamp on the edge

and used a glassine bag, from a Cocoa Daisy kit, to type my journaling on

The journaling reads:

“I have loved that we have been able to have lots of “down time” these school holidays.
Filling our day with whatever may come along. No plans.
We have been able to spend days together appreciating the time before the busy year starts up again.
I love that you are all happy to hang out together.
Playing, reading, creating home movies, splashing in the pool or just playing on the Wii.
I hope you always find time to be together.
I think amazing things can happen, when you four hang out.”

I also used the sketch to create this card

Some washi tape from Typo and the “You are lovely” stamp is from Kikki-k

You Know The Nearer Your Destination, The More You Slip Sliding Away

So did you go here??
If you did then you will have seen this

IMG_1283

and a little blog post I had the pleasure of sharing
If you didn’t

didn’t want to

I still have some close ups to share with you

IMG_1286

I made the page using bits from Cocoa Daisy kits as well as my stash
Love that Jillibean Soup paper and that Basic Grey paper (the flowery one) is another yummy favourite!
and love the Ormolu button, Chic tags tag and the glassine bag from The Greatest View

IMG_1287

and because I love that you are here
reading my lil’ ol’ blog
here is something I didn’t share over there
the journaling

It's Not Always Rainbows And Butterflies

Last weekend was the birthday of a very special chicky
and I felt very blessed to be able to spend some time with her
celebrating her day
I made a little page to remember the day

IMG_1359

and I made a little video about my little page
There should be music that goes with it
but youtube was playing up so the video may be silent

Or if you’d rather just see some close ups
here they are

IMG_1361

that’s a Chic Tags file tab

IMG_1363

and some Greatest View badge, stick pin and a fabric flower

IMG_1360

Add some D-lish scraps resin flowers, a Prima nest (which I bought because it was gorgeous)

IMG_1365

and the journaling

IMG_1364

Yep, one special day
Documented, tick!

Just Glad I'm Livin' And Happy To Be

Mixing up the old with the new again
Pulled out some papers and embellishments that were wandering to the bottom of the pile
Things that were being neglected and needed to shine

IMG_1272

A little Ormolu flair
With an old button

IMG_1276

This Kitty Robot robot I have had since…?
A new Chic Tags date tag mixed with a little Studio Calico wood veneer

IMG_1277

Throw in a new Ormolu flair with a gorgeous Greatest View chevron badge
Some D-lish scraps resin flowers

IMG_1278

and some older die cuts from Jillibean soup

IMG_1279

Job done!
Story told!
Love it!

Bobby Wants A Pair Of Skates

Life is getting back to normal
today I helped out in the school canteen (big day again tomorrow)
picked up the groceries
Hang the washing
Folded 2 loads of washing
School drop offs and pickups
Life is getting back to normal
I scrapped this page today
Using the Chevron Crafters Workshop stencil again
This time with a “Red Pepper” Adirondack Paint Dabber

Publication1

some buttons from Chic Tags

IMG_9216

some buttons from Such Sweet Tierney

IMG_9217

and a couple from Prima

IMG_9218

all helped to tell the story

I Keep You On My Mind Both Day And Night

A little more chevron play today
Using The Crafters Workshop stencil again
IMG_9207
White cardstock
the blue is excess from another page (so the reverse image of the stencil)
Then I used the stencil to apply some texture paste over random places on the stencil
then sprayed over the top with red
Love the texture
IMG_9209
Used a Chic Tags Chevron Month Tag
and backed the photo with some Jenni Bowlin packagaing
IMG_9211
Pulled out the trusty typewriter for the journaling
IMG_9212
They’ve been back at school for a week now
We seem to have found a good routine for the 2 school drop off/pick ups
Hopefully the smiles will continue
