I was inspired by the paint and texture
So that's where my page grew from.

I used a Heidi Swapp stencil for the heart
And a The Crafters Workshop stencil for the spots.

Pulled out an old favourite
Eyelets!



Paint and texture.
Love it!

Jot Magazine – “Popcorn?”

Each issue of Jot Magazine contains
A creative prompt section by Sian.
Issue 9 is out and I was inspired to create
Using no colour.

 

That is a tough one for me.
So instead of pops of colour
I have used pops of texture.

Some texture paste circles, thanks to stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop.
A wash of watercolour paint.
Backed my photo with a card from Cocoa Daisy 

Some pattern paper for dimension
And a “naked” flair from Flutterby Designs 

All topped off with a sprinkle of foam stickers.

Cocoa Daisy – Reveal – September 2014 “Story Time”

I’ve been so excited about the September “Story Time” reveal.
I’ve been waiting to tell you a little secret.
The Main Kit AND the Day In The Life kit contain a stamp set.
These stamps contain some scribble stamps.

Guess who designed the scribbles???
ME!!!
The lovely Arleigh then turned them into stamps.
How cool is that?!
These stamps were also turned into cut files and photoshop brushes!
WOWEE!!!
Now that is amazing!
Now I don’t have photoshop but I have given the stamps and file cuts a workout this month!
Ok so on to what I created this month.
I have not 1, not 2 but 5 (!!) layouts to share with you.
So i’ll shoosh and let your eyes to the talking.

LOVED the exclusive Cocoa Daisy papers for September!
These next two layouts use the two papers.

sorry, interrupting again!
These next two pages I used the Heidi Swapp alphas
But painted them with my trusty black nail polish.

Please note the pink cardstock is from my own stash.
I used a Crafter’s Workshop stencil and some gold Ferro paste to create the background.
So there you go!!
September’s kit(s) are one of my all time favourite kit(s).
So many great products and papers
And don’t get me started on the stamps *wink*!

Guesting For Ronda Palazzari

I was quite honoured to be asked to create something for my gorgeous friend Ronda

I used a couple of stencils from her range at The Crafter’s Workshop 

I created these two cards (the lower one using a Scrapmatts coffee pot)

And a layout.

I really love stencils and love being able to use them in different ways.

Cocoa Daisy–June “Boho Garden” Reveal

Today saw the reveal of the June Cocoa Daisy kits

Lots of gorgeous goodies in each of them.

Loved all the little bits and bobs

Loved the variety of paper patterns.

Perfect for this story

And this page.

This page called for some stencils.

Namely the City Grid (designed by Ronda and available at Cocoa Daisy) and the circle grid (both from The Crafter’s Workshop)

Loved the result

And I loved how this next page turned out too!

I used stamps from the Day In The Life kit

As well as sprinkling of gorgeous embellishment from various kits.

A lick of paint

And some stitches

All perfect.
