"Sorry I Couldn't Hold It In"

Don't you just love hearing those words???
Speaking of which Elizabeth, yesterday, started saying "As you wish" whenever we asked her to do something. I love her even more for saying that and without even knowing why I love her for saying it lol She continued with it today too :) Love that movie!
Also speaking of Miss E, this morning we had a physio appointment, to make up for the one we had 2 weeks ago in which she wouldn't listen and was too busy sitting in a foam circle... Anyway this morning she did well, even hopped 10 times on one of her legs. Have some new things to do at home before we go back again in 2 weeks.
Dropped her back at school then Lucy and I headed to the library and then the supermarket. It's been a cold and overcast day today but this little missy asked for a drink of milo. She told me the cold milk warmed her up...

Today I found that this in the garden had bloomed and that made me smile and remember.

I also scrapped today

Yep another "not 12x12"

Just Words And Pictures

and lots of them :)
So where to start... Might as well be the beginning!
Thursday...
Received this box.

and when you get a box what do you do with it?

You empty it and make a car, of course

and what do you do with a car? Stick pencils in it??!!

We later added a steering wheel and Dave added a gearstick. But tonight it is in the recycling bin awaiting collection in the morning. The poor car was loved, lots!
So why did I get the box?? Well, it wasn't just to make a car for Lucy but it was because Smiggle have a sale on. With prices as low as $.50 and paypal as the payment option I just had to smiggle me some Smiggle!! I put some things away for birthday presents but want to show you some of the things I bought.

These tins, A4 size, come in 2 sizes. I thought they wouldn't be as big as they are so am really happy with them for just $2 and $5!

This BIG bulldog clip

These little people clips

and these playing cards, too cute to pass up.

After Lucy and I had lunch we jumped in the van and headed to a recycling shop where I found these

a box that I have MANY ideas of its new use, but we will see which idea comes to fruition

and this Cinderella book which I bought for the print but now have some ideas for the pictures.
From there we went to the tip shop where I found these treasures

These

That I promptly used for this

this craft box which was full of thread so I couldn't say no

this huge bundle of vintage sheet music

Thursday night Dave took us girls out for dinner, which was nice because I was tired!
Friday...

I took Lucy to one of the State Librarys to hear Jeanette Rowe talk and read some of her books to the kids. We then went and had lunch with Dad. Elizabeth brought home this gorgeous caterpillar that she made at school

It some how crawled onto her head ;)

Yesterday, being Saturday...
We went to visit my Great Aunt. We took a cake and a candle and had a few minutes with her to help celebrate her 96th birthday.
Home again, started pruning and cleaning up the garden. Dave had soccer. Megan went to a pool party. That was Saturday

Today, being Sunday...
Church this morning, home for leftover home made pizza, finished pruning, Dave went to the tip,
stewed some more apples.... that was Sunday.
Will leave you with some sneak peeks of what I made with the April kit from Scrap-n-Crop

PS: Tomorrow is the last day to purchase the Create to Recreate design sheets, so make sure you head over to http://www.kimarcher.com.au/ so you don't miss out, will be the best $5 you have ever donated :)
PPS: thanks for reading through this hefty post :)

I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing...

Thanks to Spicks and Specks I have this song stuck in my head, again! It is one of those songs that often get stuck there, being hummed as I go about my day.
Tonight Elizabeth lost her 3rd tooth as she was brushing her teeth.

Dave saw the gap, asked when she lost the tooth and she just fished it out of her mouth. It's her 3rd one from the bottom row, none from the top yet.

I scrapped this page today

It's another "not 12x12" because I ripped the top off the sucker ;)

OK that's me, over and out :)

I Can Feel It In My Fingers...

I am starting to find my groove again.

Today was another day around home, spying the signs of Autumn.
Picking some apples from the tree

This lone leaf on the lawn

Crocus popping through the soil

This one which I just can't think of what it's called

Today I received these yummys that I purchased from Liberty Aspen on Etsy

They were so good I had to use some straight away! Cracked open the stamps for this page which is full of Sassafras Lass, some new and some not so new.

added an epoxy sticker over the button sticker

used some wood grain contact and my Fiskars punch

one of the things I love most about the Sass stickers is that I can cut them up

I am starting to find my groove again.

And Boy It Was Good!

And now all those apple pies are gone. But we are looking to many more as the apple tree has our biggest crop yet and lots of big ones too.

Today Lucy and I had a day around home, yay, and I scrapped this page, of Elizabeth, using the Scenic Route Sonoma range, for their monthly challenge.

Going to put this one in a frame, will share a photo when it's on the wall :)

Autumn=Apple Pie

Today I stewed the first of our apples. I used the ones that had fallen from the tree and am happy to see MANY still left ripening on the branches.

Dave and Megan made some little apple pies

and I have been told they are yummy and am about to go find out if they are ;)

Some Summer Lovin', A Lion And A Drum Roll Please

Thanks to everyone who has left comments over the last few days. I asked my random number generator, Dave, to pick a number between 1 and 49. He chose 49 so Casey was picked as the winner and I will email Casey shortly and post of a box of goodies. Congrats :)

Last night I started to play with Create to Recreate tags. They are gorgeous!!! So inspired that I sat in front of the telly and scrapped. Haven't done that in a long time!
So I created this page

The blue tags, Jane's, I printed onto canvas photo paper and the orange one is one of Kim's and I printed that lot onto normal photo paper. Love the different textures.

Will leave you with this photo of Jessica. Monday she came home with the lion mask she made at school.

Off to nuggle my Man and have a coffee on the couch :)
Ciao

Happy Blog-Birthday To Me!!

Yup today my little ol' blog turned 3!!! Who would have thought lol
This last week has been hectic and so the blog has been very neglected.
But this is your last chance to enter to win a box full of wonderful things.
Was going to take photos of what it will contain, but life just hasn't let me get organized enough.
So will do a drawing soon, you better leave a comment so you get the chance to win!!
Today has been just another day of busy stuffs, dropped the girls off at school then had a Learning Ladder party first thing, when everyone left I quickly made Lucy's lunch which she ate and then we went to watch Megan in the athletics carnival for school. Got there just in time to watch her last event, the relay. Her team came first and she also came equal 4th in one race, with 2 other people, and last in the other 2 races. She has moved up divisions so I think did really well.
From there Lucy and I dashed into town to run an errand... hmmm saying errand makes me feel very ummm Mummy-ish lol. had to wait 15 minutes to see someone, which was a bit of a shock. we got number 159 and it was only at 143 when we got there! After that I took Lucy for a much deserved baby-cino, yes Dave we had one!, and I a caramel latte. From there it was up to school to pick up the girls, on to swimming and then home for dinner and bed. Dave is away tonight, up on the North West Coast, so its been a long day and hoping for some GOOD sleep and a slower day tomorrow :)
Will leave you with this site that I just found, thanks to facebook and their ads lol. Hipe has deco tape. So if your a Hello Kitty fan, which I'm not but I was excited to find a deco tape stockist within Australia, or you like Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Snoopy or other related characters go check them out. $1.60 a roll and postage is 'normal' rather than inflated.

Ok so don't forget to leave a comment to win a prize, will be back soon to tell you who won and hopefully have something other than 'i'm busy' to tell you :)

Create To Recreate

Haven't had time to blog, or even time to think about what to blog, but just had to tell you about this one amazing thing.

Jane got together with Kim and they have made this amazing project where all proceeds go to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal. For $5 you get 2 sheets of PDF designs that you can print and use as often as your little heart desires. The $5 also allows you access to the classroom where a team of talented people will show you examples of how they used the designs. It's open till the end of the month so head over to http://www.kimarcher.com.au/workshops/try-this-workshops?page_id=2&theCat=90 or Jane's Crafty Matters site to read more :)

My Life Is In 5th Gear

so it's only a super quick blog post. Things have been flat out and some days have been non stop, like today. But I have had time to scrap this page, which I will share now, very quickly as Dave just got home from soccer training with a icecream so I better run before that melts ;)
Don't forget everyone who leaves a comment between my 1000th post and my blog's 3rd birthday will have their name entered to win a prize.
Hope to have a long post soon :)

MI... AKA 1001!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep post 1001 and it's a long one...

Friday night Megan was at a school sleepover/camp. It was held overnight at school, just the grade 3 and 4's and they slept in tents on one of the ovals. They had a fantastic time and we went to pick her up 8am Saturday. This is a photo looking across half of the oval so you can see the sea of tents.

We took the girls then to McDonalds for breakfast then home before Dave went to play soccer (they won 1-0).

Allison then came for dinner and a scrap so I roped her in to assist the girls in some scrappin'. I think they all enjoyed the process lol
and here are their pages

Lucy's

Elizabeth's

Jessica's

and Megan's

Today we didn't go to Church, opting for sleep ins, housework and just time at home together. So I thought I would play eye spy with my camera, seeing as I haven't done that in a while ;)

Spied some Dancing Ballerina's dancing to the Bee Gees

Some ready to be picked and eaten broad beans,
Elizabeth's kindy class had each planted a broad bean plant for their parents for Christmas last year. Her plant has thrived in the garden and today we picked, podded and cooked the beans we found.

Spied other yummy goodies from our garden

Spied some graffiti on a calendar
and was glad of those kisses and cuddles today.
Today was sheet washing day. Dave strips and remakes the beds, LOVE YOU DAVE, and today he made each of the girls beds and I spied this today which made me laugh and smile.
Lucy's

Elizabeth's

Jessica's

and Megan's

He also made dessert. He called it vanilla surprise. I spied the surprise, do you??!!
Was just a vanilla variant of Lemon Meringue and he had added green colouring to the custard... I'd like to say it's a boy thing but...
Today I scrapped this page, yep it's 12x12 lol

Had downloaded this free template, printed it out on canvas photo paper, cut out the Friday one, sprayed it with Jazz Blue Glimmer Mist, added the journaling and then stapled it onto my page.

Don't often use digi/printed/downloaded things to my page but really want to do that more.
Last night, while Allison was here, I worked on this canvas, which I finished off today.

Ok so here endeth this rather long post.
I am off to watch CSI!!
