Today the mailman delivered an unexpected envelope
a yellow one
I love yellow envelopes
and this one was extra special
It contained a copy of the Scrapbooking Memories Magazine
the masters edition
AND the reason I received one
AND in a yellow envelope???
was because I had a layout in it
a layout that was picked for an honourable mention!!
Super special surprise that was made even more special
because my layout was right next to a layout by my pal Debbie, who encouraged me to enter the competition.
Who’d have thought!
So do you want to see my entries??
I will keep the Honourable Mention for when the magazine goes on sale (the 28th Dec)
But here are my other three pages
Single Layout – USING SKETCH
Title : 2012 – Embrace it
I used some ATCs with Scrapmatts words and Steampunk figures from Altered Artifacts
Glimmer mist on the book page backgrounds
a little glitter…
and my beloved shipping tags for the title and journaling
Double-page Layout – COLOUR COMBO
Title : You love counting
Used the Studio Calico butterfly rubons on some Dressmaking pattern paper
some white Mr Huey from Studio Calico with a number stencil always makes me smile
love the Doily and Resin flower from Greatest View on ETSY
I love this colour combo A LOT!
Single Layout – WITH LARGE PHOTO
Title : Growing Up
Rubons went on to some leftover cardstock this time
Funny that this journaling is now 4 months old
End of year reports came home yesterday
Still love her more than she will ever know
Sigh
Today was the Grade 6 assembly
I tried hard not to cry
Didn’t succeed
in fact
I failed
Dismally!
Been one of those days
Last day of school tomorrow
5 sleeps till Christmas
Who’d have thought!!!
Well done these are gorgeous layouts. Its rare to see you scrap a pic of yourself too - that's a great layout!
ReplyDeleteOooh thanks for sharing these pages, I've waited ages to see em! I love them all, classic Sharmaine, and very very special. I love that colour combo too now (double) and may use it more myself. The ATC page is AWESOME - I'm definitely inspired to try some. Interesting to note that Lou Nelson's feature page in the mag was black!! Mal Gardner's was too, with black paint background splatters.
ReplyDeleteI'm scrapping a page about this!!! Chuffed they put our pages together! <3
