The Scrapmatts design team were asked to create a page about ourselves
Like a little introduction to everyone for the new year.
I created this page
yep that’s me!
Framed an an ATC film strip
I painted the “Mum”
and sprayed the Ornate Frame with 2 Heidi Swapp shine mists
I even pulled out a Kitty Robot piece that I had been hoarding
and I clear embossed a butterfly, using the leftovers from silhouette cameo cut as a stencil
and what I wrote about the page:
”I've been waiting for the new year to start.
Saying goodbye to a hard year and welcoming a new, fresh one.
One that is open to adventures and possibilities.
Not knowing what will happen
but knowing you can overcome the challenges that might arise.
I feel quite blessed to start the new year here on Scrapmatts for another term.
Lots happening this year and I am truly excited by it all.
I made this page, as an introduction, about me.
It's titled "Mum of 4 and so much more"
You might notice that I said "And so much more" not "But so much more".
I love being a mum.
and hold it top of my "this is me" list.
The journaling, which is around the edge of the page,
talks about how being a Mum is what identifies me first in conversations.
You will probably understand what I mean?
When you are talking to someone new they will ask how many children you have etc.?
So I wrote AND so much more because I am a mum AND I am a lot of other things.
I've listed some of those things, in the journaling.
Coffee drinker, gardener, sister, etc. etc. etc.
and I wonder what new things I will add to that list by the end of the year.
Exciting to think about that!
What things are you up to this year?
What exciting things can you add to your list of "YOU"?”
Welcome Home!!
ReplyDeleteLove this page, especially the butterfly and the pic of you in the atc frame.
Here's hoping 2013 is a ripper for us all :-)
Love that clever butterfly embossing!
ReplyDeleteSharmaine! I love this page, your journaling, and the words you wrote about it. I am with you on being a Mom is the top of the identifying list--it is a title that I hold dear, and could never imagined how much heart-filled joy being a mother would bring me. :) It was wonderful to meet you at CHA, although far too brief. <3
