The May Cocoa Daisy kit
“Record Label”
Is, in one word, AWESOME!
I’ve had loads of fun with it
5 pages down (4 I can show you now)
And each page was pure fun to create
The first page was inspired by a photo I took using pieces from one of the add ons
Once again I got all the add ons, including the “Day in the Life” kit
and I’m glad I did!
Lots of great things are found in each of the kits
and when you put them all together…
What can I say?
It just makes creating so much fun!
Love the Basic Grey products in the kits
The new “Hipster” mixed with the “Bow Ties”
DELICIOUS!
Tie it in with a bunch of other gorgeous products
and it’s just happy days!
The Cocoa Daisy stamps for May are also fun and fresh
Certainly helped to make this rather hard moment in time
extremely happier.
Speaking of stamps…
When I saw the sneak for the Dance steps stamp I knew I had to document our wedding dance
So with the help of some Basic Grey products (found in the main kit and an add on)
and some Basic Grey packaging (because it was too gorgeous not to use!)
I used the stamp
to help tell our story.
I love the card from the “Day In The Life” kit
But even with the vellum on top it still “hid” the sticker title
So I used some more of the Basic Grey packaging
and typed up my journaling
My next page comes with the disclaimer of “I can’t do circles!”
I really loved the Jillibean Soup placemat
I had started thinking I would use it as a mask
and create a background for a page
But once I’d misted I found I didn’t like the background
So ditched the idea (for a while…)
But I still really wanted to use the placemat.
So I pulled out my three circle punches
went through the kits
and found all things round!
When I started the page I wanted it to be a family page
But the embellishments I found steered me in a different direction
Another CHA page
and all I had to do was add photos of the gorgeous people I met
My friends who are now real life friends
and I am so grateful to be able to say that!
And the last page I have to share with you right now
Is using the background I created with the Jillibean Soup placemat.
I added some punched paper circles and sprayed it with mist.
I then sprayed the lot with water, till it was pretty much drenched.
Once it was dry I didn’t like it.
But I found a photo that worked with the colours
and once I flipped the page I found I liked the back rather than the front.
So I went with that!
Using up some Basic Grey packaging again
Stickers from the “Day in the Life” kit mixed with add on and main kit stickers
And the job was done!
Did I mention I had fun making these pages?
Because I did!
Awesome! Love the random misted background :).
ReplyDeleteWell I got one add on for Renee and one for me and I still don't know which one I want ;). These all look so coolio ;)
ReplyDeleteHi again... thanks for your help with the Motex, I will check it out and see if I can find here in England.
ReplyDeleteYour pages are awesome, love them both with the circles, they look really cool!!!
So much to love in this post! Love how you used the BG packaging, the Jillibean placemat, and the back of the misted page. And I just love the overall feel of these fun, colorful layouts.
ReplyDeleteAw, I love the wedding photo.
ReplyDeleteAs always awesome layouts and yeah, you can do circles!
