Cocoa Daisy “Ted’s Beach”

I love the summer school holidays.
I love being able to do nothing.
I love being able to be spontaneous when we do want to do something.
Last week we took the girls for a road trip
And visited a place called Strathgordon.

It takes about 2.5 hours to drive there, from Hobart,
And because Strathgordon is at the very end of the road…
All you can do is turn around and drive back.

I used one of the photos taken on this trip, at a pit stop,

And, using the photo transfer technique
(you can read more about this on the X-Press It blog),
I added a larger copy of it to my page.

I also used pieces from the January Cocoa Daisy kit.
You can see here that I’ve used a couple of the Day in the Life cards.
I used some red texture paint with the “Stargazing” stencil (from the November kit) 
To create this effect.

I had fun with paints, gesso and scribbles.

And added some stamps from January and November.

I like the way the layout turned out.
I like the moment captured.

Have You Ever Wanted To Look Beyond Clouds And The Stars

Today was declared pyjama day
only 2 accomplished it for the whole day
they also asked to scrap
and completed 8 pages between the 4 of them

I didn’t scrap then
but did later
and I completed this simple and quick page

used paper and alphas from the August and September Cocoa Daisy kits
and added this gorgeous bottle cap from D-Lish Scraps

and the journaling

Tomorrow is haircut day
followed by a visit to the supermarket
fun lol

Life Is Just What Happens To You, While Your Busy Making Other Plans

Day one of our school holidays
and the morning started like this
with a visit from one of the Beatles…

who helped do some crafting
there was a tiger

a motorbike rider

and a rabbit

day one is now ending as we watch Jamie Oliver cooking tapas…. yummmmm

Glitter On The Highway

We spent Easter at Mum and Dad’s shack

spent time on the beach
Built a castle or two

Went fishing
Caught a fish or two

and ate a bunny…

or two!
Now I am off to have a shower and wash off three days of sand and ick
Then make myself a coffee before heading off to enjoy a sleep in my own bed

Our Road Trip

First stop was Campbell Town for a leg stretch and to look at these
