I'm Surrounded By A Million People

This was the first photo I took of Dave’s adventure
It was taken the morning he left
I dragged him outside on a cold morning and made him sit with his Lonely Planet book
Funnily enough it is the last of my photos, about his trip, to scrap with
I was inspired by the April 15 sketch at Stuck Sketches and used pieces from the April Polka Dot Whimsy kit

Love bikes, love tape… the Tim Holtz tape is a sure winner

used some of the water colours that used to be Dave’s Grandmas

and journalled my thoughts

So Dave is now back and I’ve uploaded his photos, approx. 200, he has told me he intends to scrap some

Today was pink day at school
- kids dress in pink and bring along a donation for the Mother’s day stall, which gives a donation to cancer research
This morning Megan did a bible reading for the Easter service at school
Tonight we did the grocery shopping while Jessica and Elizabeth were at Guides
Looking forward to bed time, didn’t sleep so well last night
Hoping the girls settle too, we haven’t been able to talk to Dave today so the “Miss you’s” have started

Love this paper and thought it perfect for a Uncle Samuel’s wedding photo and a story
Found a few bits and pieces, in the kit, that were worthy of a wedding page

also loved the yellow in this paper and thought it perfect for this story

again found some bits and pieces to play around with

Nice way to pass a cold day, warming my fingers with goodness

A Piece Of My Heart

As promised I’m back with my last two pages for Polka Dot Whimsy
Using the February “Moments and Wishes” kit

LOVE these buttons

and a tip about buttons that have the hole in the back
You can cut the back off with some strong scissors
Just make sure you hold it steady and keep your fingers out of the way
By cutting the back off the button won’t stick out so much
and make it less bulky when you place the page in your album
Love the “hello friend” that came stamped on one of the shipping tags
Ideal for some journaling

LOVE the butterflies

Been an extra long weekend here
Friday the girls had a student free day and Dave the day off
Yesterday Dave had soccer and Megan a sleep over
Sadly there was a phone call after 11pm saying Megan was sick
so her much looked forward to sleep over was cut a little short
Today we spent the day lazily around home
Recovering from the busy week/weekend/colds/belly bugs/lack of sleep!!!!!!
Looking forward to another day ‘off’ tomorrow before we get back into the thick of it
