This is the sight that greeted me when we arrived home from the airport last night
The banner says Welcome Home and has lots of handprints and drawings all over it
I had been to Brisbane
at the Scrapbooking and Paper Craft Expo
I did have a hard time being away from home
but I did have a wonderful time meeting some amazing people
like the gorgeous Louise
and the wonderful Peg and Diane
I also had the pleasure of meeting Debbie who certainly helped make my weekend memorable
The flight home was also memorable
with ash, from a volcano in Chile, in the air over Tasmania a lot of airlines had decided not to fly
Thankfully mine wasn’t one of them and apart from some delays I got home
we did have to fly at a lower altitude
this meant we were able to witness the amazing colours the ash and the sunset created
I was on the wrong side of the plane to take my own photos
so I asked a man who was sitting across the aisle to snap a few for me
While away my cold/flu became full on
and now I am home I feel a wreck and could do with a week in bed
I really wanted to complete this weeks Aussie Scrap Source challenge so I played with it today
in amidst of the sneezes lol
the challenge is graphic colour block
and I made my page a 8.5x11
I had also printed my photos on to white cardstock
and then I drew a border around each with a black pen
I also used a black sharpie pen to outline the whole page, adding a little grunge here and there
Jessica is having a ball at Grandma’s house
All being well she will be flying home Thursday
but I don’t think Grandma or Jessica will have too many problems if her trip home is delayed lol
Glad the trip went well.

While I was happy to finally arrive home last night, after three days of back and forth to the airport, I woke this morning with nasty food poisoning from the Qantas meal. How ironic is that! So DH has to be mr mum again today. Groan... Hope your cold gets better, love! Sending hugs your way. Deb xxx
