Guesting For Ronda Palazzari

I was quite honoured to be asked to create something for my gorgeous friend Ronda

IMG_3012

I used a couple of stencils from her range at The Crafter’s Workshop

IMG_3011

I created these two cards (the lower one using a Scrapmatts coffee pot)

IMG_3007

And a layout.

IMG_3008

You can read how I made them HERE

IMG_3009

I really love stencils and love being able to use them in different ways.

Hope something inspires you to create.

Feel quite privileged to have the opportunity to be a guest blogger for Silhouette Crafts Australia

I also used pieces from D-lish Scraps

IMG_9993

All to create this page

SharmaineKruijver_SilhouetteAustralia1

I also used some other cuts

IMG_9999

That I painted, stitched or stamped (love this stamp from Cocoa Daisy)

IMG_0001

Added some flair from The Greatest View

IMG_0002

And created this page

Mesmerize Your Everyday

Sometimes keeping it simple is best.

IMG_8573

Sometimes just story and pictures is all you need.

IMG_8575

Sometimes it’s better that way.

IMG_8576

Well, I think it is.

IMG_8571

Sometimes you really don’t need to say much.

IMG_8582

Because simple says what is needed.

IMG_8580

Sometimes you can’t go wrong with simple.

IMG_8581

Well, I think that’s true.

All the chipboard used in this blog post are from scrapmatts.

Light That Shines Is The Light Of Love

When we had our little road trip holiday in September
I took a photo of the Table Cape Lighthouse
I love lighthouses
and I had been holding on to a Scrapmatts one
in hope I would get a photo to go with it

IMG_4650

So I made a simple page and let the lighthouses shine
I added an anchor (found in the same pack as the lighthouse)
and tied it up around the shipping tag

IMG_4653

yup, I like light houses!

IMG_4655

I also made 2 simple cards (using pieces from the same pack)

IMG_4656

I said they were simple
But I do like Kraft on Kraft!

Like The Moon And Stars And Midnight

Back in January I had a lovely email in my inbox.
It was from Cassie at Scrapbooking Memories Magazine
She asked if I would like to use a sketch to create a layout and a card
For the July edition of the magazine (Volume 14 No. 10)
I said yes and got to work to create this page

I’ve used some Chic Tags flair
The backing from some Sassafras Lass alpha stickers
A tea bag label, for the touch of green

I cut out an Elle’s Studio die cut
Stamped on a Cocoa Daisy chevron stamp on the edge

and used a glassine bag, from a Cocoa Daisy kit, to type my journaling on

The journaling reads:

“I have loved that we have been able to have lots of “down time” these school holidays.
Filling our day with whatever may come along. No plans.
We have been able to spend days together appreciating the time before the busy year starts up again.
I love that you are all happy to hang out together.
Playing, reading, creating home movies, splashing in the pool or just playing on the Wii.
I hope you always find time to be together.
I think amazing things can happen, when you four hang out.”

I also used the sketch to create this card

Some washi tape from Typo and the “You are lovely” stamp is from Kikki-k

All My Thoughts Just Seem To Settle On The Breeze

Yay to Friday!
It’s been a very busy week
Last weekend we celebrated Dave’s Mum’s 60th birthday
Lots of family, fun and food!
Monday was the school swimming carnival
Both Jessica and Elizabeth swam well and had fun.
Megan has had Eisteddfods, for band and choir, three nights this week
They played/sang well and did really well.
Wednesday was my usual work day and today was my usual day in Canteen.
Yep glad it’s the weekend
Although it’s still busy, as are most of the weekends from here till the end of the year.
It’s that time of year.
Things getting busier.
I’ve been reminded, this week, that it is only for a season.
So I’m trying to remember to flow with the busy and not let it wade down my day.

So right now I have stopped and am here to share something with you.
I’ve another Guest post up over on Jen Allyson’s blog
I’ve created this page of one of the M&M’s (our nieces)

This time I’ve thrown in some embellishments from my own stash

IMG_2213

a badge/flair from Greatest View
the resin flowers and the blue crochet flower are from D-lish scraps
I even added a monkey eraser, thanks to Lucy for the kind donation *insert wink!*

IMG_2214

I just loved all the bits from the My Mind’s Eye Sweetest Thing “Bluebell” range
The colours
The patterns
And the cool stickers… SOOOO GOOD!

IMG_2216

and because I love that you dropped by here is the journaling

IMG_2218

and because I love that you’re still reading…
Here is a matching card I made using Jen Allyson’s gorgeous products

IMG_2208

And with that…
I’m out of here!
Have a great weekend
and remember
Breathe, I know I need reminding from time to time too!
