Your Gift Is My Gust Of Wind

I haven’t had many work days so far this year.
Which has been ok.
Ok because it’s meant I’ve had a little more time to play.
And play is what I’ve done with these Scrapmatts Tags and ATC.

I just love this tag.
I’ve used the new Scrapmatts Silhouettes Pack, a “moments” that I removed the “s”
on a new Scrapmatts Tag

For this ATC I used a House ATC.
With a brand new Scrapmatts Word pack.
I’ve also used some of Louise Nelson’s gorgeous hand carved stamps.

And my last tag I’ve used a Sewing Spool tag
and topped it with the gorgeous spool and needle from the Sewing Pack.
The triangle arrow is excess from the Scrapmatts Flags

See, aren’t the spool and needle just gorgeous?
Perfect for playing!

Have you had some creative play today?

COCOA DAISY: Product Spotlight

Recently I made these two tags

IMG_3435

using the Tree stamp from Cocoa Daisy, found in the Aspen Grove kit

IMG_3436

I made the tags as I played with the cool Faber Castell Pitt Pens.
I’ve made a little video, as I played.
You can see the video HERE on the Cocoa Daisy blog

Sometimes I Feel My Heart Will Overflow

The weekend comes
The weekend goes
and it seems that even when you don’t fill the weekend it seems to fill itself!
I have a few (sorry photo overload) things to share with you
Some Scrapmatts creations
Firstly
a couple of cards

IMG_1417

the bird bath made me think of Snoopy and Woodchuck
so I played with that idea and added an American Crafts sticker

I added some sprinkles to an ice cream
and played with another jovial idea

IMG_1293

I added some microbeads and dimensional magic to create the sprinkles

IMG_1295

I also made a couple of tags
this one uses a word and I made this tag for a mixed media challenge over at Aussie Scrap Source

IMG_1289

The first week’s challenge was about resist
I’ve used a Cocoa Daisy stamp and clear embossing to create the resist.
And this tag is for the second challenge, Texture.

IMG_1366

I’ve used one of the gorgeous parasols with some textured paste and layers of paint
and finally
A layout

IMG_1419

I’ve used a raw ice cream and tied on a painted heart

IMG_1421

I teamed it up with some American Crafts products (and packaging… can you spot it?)

IMG_1424

to tell this story

IMG_1425

She really does!!
Just as well her Mum really really loves her!

I Was Staring At The Sky Just Looking For A Star

This month the Scrapmatts Design Team were asked to make Cards, ATCs or tags
I choose to make some tags
AND BOY DID I LOVE MAKING THEM!

IMG_0896

I’ve used the bird cage and bird (which is outside the cage not in)

IMG_0901

Can you spy the Cocoa Daisy stamps from July??

IMG_0897

I’ve used a clock and a heart

IMG_0902

I pulled out things that have been sitting in my “gonna use one day” drawer

IMG_0903

Used some words

IMG_0904

Used the Crafter’s Workshop chicken wire mask

IMG_0905

and some hinges

IMG_0906

Seriously, there is something about using ink and paint that gives me serenity

IMG_0907

I loooove this dress form

IMG_0909

and each of these tags is a statement from my heart

IMG_0908

from where life is at for me right now
or just me telling me to listen.

What do you need to listen to?

Wot-cha-ma-doogle

Don't ask me why...
Just cos...

Today has been a wet, stormy and cold type of day.
Took the girls to the library, where we got lots of books including 3 or 4 paper craft/Art books, at their request. Then we came home and they fought over them, sigh lol
Dave was home early today, which is always nicer than nice :)
Had an email, waiting for me tonight, from the lovely Annemarie. She had been reading a US store catalogue, Lily Pulitzer, and in it they were promoting their new clothing line, which are in gorgeous colours, and the money goes to their charity "A Colorful Cause", which is raising money for Epidermolysis Bullosa. You can read more here and here and here :) Thanks Annemarie :)
Speaking of online friends... The gorgeous inside and out Sandra has tagged me with this pretty cool award

The rules:

1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.

2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.

3. Nominate 10 blogs.

4. Put links to their blogs.

5. Leave a message for your nominees.

So the blogs that make me smile, thinking off the top of my head

But there are so many more, and I also wanted to say that having comments in my inbox makes my heart smile and makes me dash through my emails just to read them, thank you :)

Scrapped this page today, after printing off our holiday photos. Love this photo.

Inspired by Marle and the page she has here I wanted to use the same technique with tearing the page, eyelets and the tied string. I found Marle's blog through The Inspirational Craft Blog, she was featured yesterday.

And that's me and my lot for today :)

Ciao for now
