Life certainly is all about circles
This week we’ve been sad with the news that Dave’s fabulous Great Aunt passed away after fighting cancer
Dave’s flying to Adelaide on Tuesday, with his Mum, for the funeral.
Then today we had joyous news that the newest Kruijver has arrived.
Dave’s youngest brother and our Sister In Law have just had a baby boy, as yet unnamed.
We hope to visit this new little man real soon!

I’ve another Scrapmatts layout to share with you

It’s simple
but I like that

I used a Ornate Frame 13

added some vellum
and turned it into a window

to hide the photo and journaling

and I funneled the journaling out of my head and onto the page.
Thankful for that.

Now I Need A Place To Hide Away

* Today I had 2 Nanna naps
   One in the morning and one in the afternoon
   They were only about 20 minutes each
   But needed

* Today I lay on the couch and ate watermelon

* Today we didn’t go to Church

* Today I didn’t go to my Sister-in-law’s Baby Shower

* Today I felt quite worn out and tired

* Today I have the flu

* Today my head feels full and tired

We'll Be Waterlogged, But We Won't Mind At All!

Today started with some bike building

Some Birthday Bike building

Because today a little lady turned seven

she requested a ‘pool party’
So Dave blew up the blow up pool
We invited Uncle Samuel (Dave’s Brother), Aunty Louise (His Wife), Poppy (My Dad), Mashir (My Mum),
my sister and the M&Ms (my sister’s girls) and had a barbeque lunch.
It was a super hot day
So everything got super hot too
Even the chocolate bunny, on her cake, started to melt

So she ate it with no hands

We all had a good day
and for the record
Everyone got a little wet
Some more than others!

Today the girls made a movie
They have made a few
They make up the story
Megan films and directs
The others do the acting
The only help they get is when I say “hurry up”
Or “that’s not really appropriate”
the rest is up to them

The Information's Unavailable To The Mortal Man

I love phone calls from Dave
and more than that
I love phone calls from Dave to say he’s on his way home from work
and more than that
I love phone calls from Dave to say he’s on his way home from work EARLY
Today was a day with one of those phone calls
and he surprised the girls by pulling out the water slide

because of our backyard we hadn’t been using the waterslide
But with Dave’s backyard blitzing there is now room for a waterslide
And some little people loved it

today has also been a good day
because
My February Cocoa Daisy kit arrived
I opened it and was inspired straight away
So much so that I cut into a piece of pattern paper about 5 minutes after opening the box!
Want to see what I then worked on??

the kit reveal happens this weekend
and I think this one will be a sell out

As well as receiving the kit (with the embellishment kit and stamps)
I also purchased the “Barcode”, extra paper and stencil.
All of which are amazingly good.

Jumping Up And Down With His Pants On Fire

Today we spent the day with the M&Ms (and their mum)
We spent the morning at a school holiday activity
Where the girls got to make a “Bush Puppet”
Using paper bags, paper scraps and bits, like leaves twigs etc
They were able to make a native animal of their choosing
So we ended up with

Megan also made an owl but gave it to the lady, who took the morning, to say thank you.

We're Going Where The Sun Shines Brightly

Some of the things I love about Summer and Summer School holidays

Fruit
I love it
Love summer because the variety of fruit available seems endless

Books
Summer holidays means more time to take the girls to the library
They chow down on these almost as quick as they do with the fruit!

Water
When it’s hot, as it was today, I love that we can play with water
Tonight, after dinner, the girls went back in the pool
Clothes and all
They weren’t the only ones to get completely wet
Love that too!

Storms
I love thunderstorms
They bring many memories
As do summer
and Summer school holidays.
I love that we are creating memories for little people
I hope they remember summer school holidays fondly.

Elizabeth and Lucy went for a play at Elizabeth’s friend’s house

they had ooddles of fun

The rest of us got hot doing not so fun things…
Like errands…
But we did find some cool things to do…
even though it was hot.

and then we painted them

I cooked the yummiest roast lamb with potatoes from our garden
