I was excited to review Bondi Chai’s Latte sachets.
When the lovely Hannah, from Wordstorm emailed me with the product info
My first thoughts were “wow that’s a cool product” and this was quickly followed by “that’s clever”.
What a great idea for those who drink chai.

Available in two flavours, Vanilla Honey and Club Cinnamon,
You simply add a sachet to a cup of hot milk and stir!
”Vanilla Honey offers a smooth, softer flavour,
while Club Cinnamon is closer to the traditional “chai masala” flavour
and has become known as the “chai drinker’s chai”.”

One of the creators Melissa Edyvean says
“While not promoted as a ‘health drink’,
Bondi Chai does tick many of the boxes that increasingly health-conscious consumers look for
– it’s low in caffeine, 98% fat-free, has no trans-fatty acids and is gluten free.“
So this got me thinking…
Why not add it to Banana Bread?!
Why not indeed!
So I added some baking to our school holiday schedule and added a little chai!
I modified our recipe slightly (being that we didn’t have enough milk and I wanted to add some chai)
And this is where it went
Bondi Chai Banana Bread Ingredients
1 3/4 cup self-raising flour
1/4 cup plain flour
2 sachets Club Cinnamon Chai Latte
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Low fat Greek yoghurt
2 eggs
50g melted butter (cooled)
2 ripe to overripe bananas

My helpers mixed all the ingredients
And the bread…
It was moist and delicious
With the hint of cinnamon and spice.
I’d show you a picture…
