Review – Phillips PerfectCare Aqua

When you get an email asking if you’d like to review an iron
You have to stop and think for a minute.
But when you get an email asking
If you’d like something to make your family life a little easier,
You don’t have to think!
When I was approached to test out the Philips PerfectCare Aqua
I asked if my husband had put them up to it.

You see, I don’t like ironing!!
There are only a few household chores I don’t like and ironing is right up there!
Dave does our ironing. Well when I say our ironing I mean his ironing.
My clothes are primarily ones that don’t need ironing.
His shirts or the girls school shirts/dresses
Aare the only things that we get our iron out for.
But I was curious.
Would the Philips PerfectCare Aqua live up to it’s claims of carefree ironing?
Anything that took time out of ironing would get a big yes from me!
The first task was to remove the stickers and packaging.
Everyone wanted in on that!

The next task, filling this beast up.
The tank has a 2.2L capacity
And because you can see the water levels you will know when it needs  atop up.

Next was to turn it on and wait for the blue light to show up on the top of the iron.
It reminded me of something out of Star Wars!!
We were already impressed!

The next bit was the bit I would have run from.
Pulling out a work shirt Dave set to work.

The greatest thing about the Philips PerfectCare Aqua is the simple fact that
You don’t have to do anything more than this.
No guessing the settings.
No changing settings between garments.
No pressure needed to remove creases.

Philips PerfectCare Aqua6

The steam does its work, even when the iron isn’t touching the board.
The iron is super light weight,
Although the connecting cord was a lot heavier than I expected.
This connecting cord isn’t terribly long so you need to have the water tank close by.
The cord also gets warm, not super hot but warm.

The Optimal Temp allows you to use the Philips PerfectCare Aqua
On all manner of ironables (that has to be a real word! Doesn’t it?!)
Silk, wool, polyester, cotton, linen, jeans  you name it.
You can iron it and you don’t need to adjust anything.
This little wonder takes the thinking out of ironing.

You can read more about the Philips PerfectCare Aqua HERE
I can certainly recommend the Philips PerfectCare Aqua
If you are in the market for a new iron.
It was a lot easier to use than our other iron and,
Because there wasn’t time wasted in adjusting settings, it made the job quicker.
And yes, in case you wondered, I did do SOME ironing.
I had to, otherwise Dave would have had to write this review!!
