Well we are home safe, sound and tired!!
I have just uploaded, off the camera, 161 photos so will wade through those and start adding them to my blog soon then you can see how we filled our days at Grandma's, Dave's Mum, house
In the meantime I will show you the Holiday Journal I put together for the girls to write up our daily going's on, they took in turns who wrote up each day and we only got 3 days written up while we were away so we have some more writing to do before it's finished as well as adding photos
Our Holiday Journal:
I pulled out all the holiday/travel theme things I could find
and I started with a less than $4 A5 size ring binder folder
I took some brown paper and cut out a piece that was slightly bigger than the folder
using double sided tape I put the pattern paper onto the brown paper and then I stitched around the outside, and a few lines through the middle, to hold it all together
I then placed tape on the folder
and covered the folder with the paper
Added some travel theme stickers
some red electrical tape to reinforce the corners and sides
alpha stickers for the title
some paint spots, lines, circles, streaks
and then I covered the lot with clear contact to keep it clean from grubby fingers and to keep it strong and sturdy for travel and future reading :)
Next post I will show you what I did inside.
What a great idea and I love how you used the brown paper as a base and then covered it in contact paper!!!!! I can't wait to see the photos!!! So glad that you are home safe and sound!!! Relax and enjoy your day!!! :)
