So what did you today??
Me…
Well, I spent the day with about 90 Grade 1s and 2s :)
Elizabeth’s class, and all the other Grade 1 and 2s, have been learning about our local river
The Derwent River starts in the Central Highlands of Tasmania and flows south cutting our capital, Hobart, in half
Today all the classes piled into 2 buses
First stop was to walk over the Tasman Bridge
They then hopped back on the bus and followed the river upstream to New Norfolk
As they went they noted towns and how the river changed as they went

Lucy and I drove up and met them all for lunch at New Norfolk

We got there with plenty of time for a play before the buses arrived

and eat our Subway lunch :)

We did have to wait a little longer for Elizabeth’s bus
It got 2(!!) flat tyres
So the first bus had to go get them
Apart from that the day was a gorgeous one :)
