An Old Cowpoke Went Ridin’ Out One Dark And Windy Day

One thing I love about misting with masks is you get to use the positive,

as I did here on a card I made for Banana Frog,
and you get to use the negative,

as I did on this card that says this on the inside

I used the Crafter’s Workshop chicken wire mask with some Dark Denim glimmer mist 
So what are you up to this weekend?
Ours is another busy weekend but I am hoping to find quite a bit of time to enjoy this

I’m Taken With The Notion

A busy and full weekend
meant today was a bit of a shock
Nothing on the calendar
4 loads of washing though
and I made some chicken sausage rolls
and I created a page, inspired by the 1 July challenge at Once Upon A Sketch 

Beginning of last month saw the arrival of my youngest brother’s son
I changed the sketch a little
and had some fun
used
a paper bag
an envelope
and a recycled tag (the ‘Sam’)
as well as some Such Sweet Tierney buttons

some Banana Frog stamps
some doodling
some layered stickers
some Tim Holtz tape

some blue mist
a Heidi Swapp mask
some machine stitching

and some journaling

another ‘nothing on the calendar’ day tomorrow
wonder what I will get up to???!!!

Summer Is Gone, But Our Love Will Remain

Seems our Saturday has slipped on by so quick that I almost blinked and missed it
Pulled out the bread maker this afternoon and have baked 2 loaves in it
One was still doughy the other I am yet to cut but it rose… A LOT!
It was my turn to share over on the Banana Frog blog

Oh and the cardstock was some of the Bling paper from Bazzill Basics
I’ve always had problems with the paper because stamping ink smudges, pen ink doesn’t seem to go on as smoothly
and things don’t stick as well as normal cardstock
well problem solved…
I just added a layer of paint and everything was good again

Don't Lose Your Grip On The Dreams Of The Past

Remember when I said that I had a photo I was holding back from our trip to Zoo Doo??

Heart Cards

As you can tell by lack of blog posts things haven’t slowed down yet
I have just posted my Banana Frog blog post on their blog and wanted to share, with you, what I made
I just loved the Heart Cards idea and really wanted to get behind it
So a card making I did go

all of those cards used Banana Frog stamps
The two below used pattern paper scraps

That one with the addition of a Such Sweet Tierney button
And these two used a gorgeous stamp from Polka Dot Whimsy

I so like simple when I have no time
Simple helps me when I cook and simple helps me when I create
Oh and simple is another great thing for kids too
Today was an example of simple
Lots of shells were played with for ages

and a simple place in the sun was also enjoyed

Simply no fuss
Simple, sigh!

Pretty Cool Lot Of Fellows, Aren't You?

Don’t know about you but I could do with a lie down!
Hi to all those visiting my bloggy and taking part in the Banana Frog blog hop
This is my first one and I’m glad I finally got to join in
I have a little image of ittsy bittsy frogs leaping over each other
anyways….
I thought I would show you a page I made and hope it actually encourages you to create
This is my Christmas themed page

and the journaling

For this page I used the Retro Christmas and the Christmas Elegance packs

I used the string of lights, from the Retro Christmas pack, as a border before heat embossing in white

and I also used the snowflake, from the Christmas Elegance pack, and heat embossed some red for the centres
I then used my white and black pens to doodle around them
What I love about this technique is that it is a great way to learn how to doodle and it is super quick, effective and easy
I even got asked if I had doodled the snowflake, now that’s effective

I used my dymo labeller, with some clear dymo tape, and also used up some old lettering
