Review: FreeNut Butter

A while ago the patient Sophie from WordStorm sent us two jars of Eskal FreeNut Butter
The girls were very excited to try these because our school, like many other is nut free,
and we LOVE peanut butter!
So eagerly we opened the bottles to try
FreeNut
and the girls (and I) were pleasantly surprised
It is yummy!
Now remember this isn’t peanut butter
it is made from sunflower seeds so it tastes of…. sunflowers.
Ground roasted sunflower to be precise!
And with the same texture as peanut butter these make a great alternative for those with nut allergies.
I haven’t tried it in cooking yet but I can see some muffins happening and thinking of trying a satay with the FreeNut instead of Peanut.
Will get back to you on those!
Some other things to note
FreeNut Butter has the same amount of grams of saturated fat per serve as the lite version of Peanut butter
FreeNut Butter is a gluten free, nut free and dairy free product
AND
Our girls love it on toast for weekend breakfasts!
Eskal FreeNut Butter is available in selected Coles and Woolworths stores RRP $5.69 for a 450g jar. For more information, please visit www.trialiafoods.com.au/eskal
Disclosure: This is not a paid sponsored post. I received 2 complimentary jars of Eskal FreeNut Butter, for review purposes, and all opinions expressed are purely my own.

  2. My son is allergic to peanuts and so we LOVE this stuff. I still don't put it on sandwiches for school at this point as the teachers inspect lunches to make sure there is none there (he is in prep) and I know they wouldn't be able to tell the difference. But maybe next year :)
