Review : Smooze Fruit Ice

Just before the school holidays the lovely Tammi, from WordStorm, sent us some Smooze Fruit Ices to try out

Smooze are an individually packed treat that are made with a base of coconut milk
There are four flavours Pineapple + Coconut, Pink Guava + Coconut, Mango + Coconut and Simply Coconut
They come in a liquid form so you just throw them in the freezer till you need them
They are 100% natural, contain only 66 calories per serve and are great for those who are gluten, dairy and preservative intolerant

Now our girls aren’t the greatest fans of coconut so I was interested to see how these would go down.
I loved that they were a great substitute to a dairy based iced treat.
I had two volunteers
Elizabeth tried the Mango + Coconut and found it was just ok. More coconut in flavour than the mango.
Jessica put her hand up for the Pineapple and Coconut flavour.
She enjoyed it and found it was more pineapple flavour, which disguised the coconut.

The packages needed scissors to open but the fun shape made them easy to hold.
Although they didn’t get lots of thumbs up
I think these would be great as a base for fruit smoothies over summer.
Will definitely be keeping them in mind for when the weather warms up
and we have an abundance of fresh fruit to use up.
