Mum and Dad just rang...

they are broken down and had to be towed to Alice Springs. Thankful they were somewhere they could get help and somewhere that was within a towing distance to somewhere that could get the Ute fixed! It's going to need a new gearbox so $$$$!!!

So today has been a cold COLD day, here is the sunrise

The frost on the garden windows

and the frost on the lawn

Have been trying to scrap for the Project Scrap-Away challenge, the theme we have to scrap about, for round 7, is a tragedy in our life. I thought and thought about this topic and have found it hard. There are things that have been hard or things that have been horrible but I don't view those things as tragic, so I found a few things to scrap about and here are two pages I have made in the process to make the page I will end up submitting.

This first page is about the Port Arthur massacre. It was a horrible event and it touched so many people. For me there was a lot about the event that touched me and I remember. I remember the sirens in the afternoon, I remember seeing all the ambulances heading down the highway, I remember hearing something had gone on, I remember talking to someone and saying I hope its no one we know, I remember that Dad had to go down there (he was a police officer), I remember watching all about it all unfold on the news, I remember Mum ringing me the next day to say that close family friends were involved (a couple I have known since birth and she was like my second Mum when I was little), she was killed and he was shot through the neck and was in hospital, I remember visiting him in hospital and hearing what had happened for them, I remember that his Mum had a heart attack and died when she heard the news, I remember going to their funerals, I remember the feeling I had and have when people talk about the event, I remember how hard it was for me to visit Port Arthur on our family holiday a few years ago, I still feel churned up inside when I remember....

and then I made this page about the circle of life, about life and death, that in death there is still life...

So there you go, just a little into my creating process and that when I have so many ideas floating around in my head and I need to go through this process, sometimes, to get to the place where I can create something that represents all these thoughts best. Funny thing is that I am actually going to go with the layout I made first lol will share that one and the other I made on Wednesday, after the entries have closed.

You are always so inspiring to me. Thank you so much for visiting and all your understanding. Means a lot to me.
