and if they were all singing the same song it would help :)
As promised here is the technique I used to make the lettering on my ‘Sunshine’ layout from 2 posts ago :)
I used Scenic Route chipboard lettering
For this example I am just using some scrap white copy paper, for the layout I did this technique right onto the page, over my photo, pattern paper and ribbon
I then just painted the negative space of the letter I required, in this case it was an ‘n’
making sure the paint covered the whole area
Once it was dry I went around the outline with my black sharpie pen, if you were to trace the chipboard shape, rather than freehand, the area would be too narrow so it’s better to removed the chipboard and outline the shape freehand
I then used an oval shape stamp and some ink
and stamped the shapes randomly on top of the paint,
and then I covered the inked area with embossing powder
before applying heat to melt and set the dots
I used Hero Arts ink, first time for this technique, and have learnt that the ink doesn’t ‘stick’ to the paint so some parts of the circles have lifted
I then cut around the letter and used it on a layout, turning the ‘n’ into a ‘u’ :)
The journaling
I pulled apart a Prima flower, sprayed with a little Glimmer Mist, a button from Such Sweet Tierney for the flower centre and added some Smiggle alpha stickers
Some Basic Grey paper and stickers and flicked about some paint, just because I could ;)
Will leave you with how I spent some of my day
Having fun with some of the toys the girls have ‘re-found’ in our clean up :) :)
