I Just Can’t Do The Chocolate Before Breakfast Thing

But I can do chocolate mid afternoon thank you!
Our Easter Sunday morning started with a 6am phone call from my sister
And hearing my niece say “Easter Bunny found us, he didn’t go to Poppy’s house”
and just to hear her say that was a wonderful thing :)
Our girls were very excited by the eggs that awaited them

they ate while talking on the phone
And amazingly no chocolate marks were left on my mobile lol
We had Mum, Dad, my sister and her girls come for dinner last night
Boy oh boy does the volume go up when they are here!
We played wii and had a lot of laughs :)
Good Good Good :)

Over on the Banana Frog blog they have a monthly challenge
This months is a sketch, go check it out
Here is my take on it, using Firework, Sewing Kit and Madfont stamps

I used the fireworks stamp to make my own pattern paper
I stamped in a pink ink first the added a little black ink to the outside of the stamp and then restamped them
Finally I used some Kaiser Pearls, in the middle of each image, to give some dimension

I used the Madfont stamps for the title

first I stamped each letter with some white ink then heat embossed using American Crafts zing in white
Can you see the pink peeking out underneath?? It’s paper tape :)

and finally I used a stitch stamp from the Sewing Kit stamp line to make the journal lines

Today we had a picnic lunch with friends
In the park
Some of us enjoyed the sunshine
Some of us enjoyed scootering :)

Good Good Good :)

Pin It Now!

  1. I like how you made your own patterned paper.

I think the girls and my little boy must be on the same wavelength. He just loves to run with the soccer ball. Can't wait until he can play in the fall.

  3. Happy Easter (too late?) haha. Nice to know that you had a great time with your family :)

  4. Oh I like the stamping and embossing. Everytime I try to do that I end up with a big mess. Yours looks so good!
