The Story Is In Your Eyes

Remember the photos I took when Dave surprised me with a dawn trip to the beach?
I used one of those to make this page for my recent D-lish Scraps design team post

It’s a simple page
and I wanted it simple
because the title (cut with my silhouette cameo) was so big
and I wanted the photo and embellishments to shine
Which I think they do
I love the filigree leaves

the white sequins, used to dot the alphas

I pulled out a chipboard feather from Louise Nelson
And glittered it to an inch of it’s life

before adding a monochrome pattern flair
right next to the little message I wanted to share

The last page I created, for my D-lish upload
was this page

I glittered up some Fern Leaves

Used some Olive Sequins, wooden heart buttons (altered with green ink) and resin flowers

The journaling has to have a back story,
So here it is…
I went over to LA a couple of days prior to CHA
I wanted to go visit my friend Linda
”Phin” lives in San Jose (an hour plane trip from LA)
So I hopped on another plane and stayed with her for 2 nights.
While I was there we had a scrap day (LOVE THAT!)
and she offered to make me a cup of green tea
I hadn’t had green tea before (I’d have had iced green tea but not hot)
She was worried I wouldn’t like it.
So I joked about how I would have to make a scrap page “she made me drink green tea”.
I then asked her what colour I should scrap the page.
Her reply was green and purple, so green and purple it was to be

Visiting Phin was definitely a highlight of my trip and I am so glad I took the time to go see her
Love friendships like that.

  1. Super cute pages! I love that you tried green tea for the first time. I figured that was an international flavor but I guess not. Love to see your pages!

    1. Hey Michelle :) You can definitely get green tea here, just I'm not a tea drinker so had steered clear. My Mum drinks drink tea often :)
Thanks for stopping by, hugs to you my friend :)
