Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Masters Entry - Calendar

I don’t know why but I have been putting off sharing my entries
For last years Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Masters competition.
There were four projects to create and I will start with my calendar.

I wanted to create a calendar that I could have sitting on my scrap desk (or nearby)
But I was needed help with creating the monthly print outs.
Enter my Darling Husband in his trusty Super Hero costume!
He worked his magic in Excel and created the dates, ready for me to alter and print.

My next dilemma came with the painting. I really wanted just a swish of water colour paint on each page.
But I wanted each swish to be the same.

So instead I painted a block of colour and made each month an appropriate seasonal colour.

I always knew I wanted the cover to be simple so I coloured a white doily, added the year and stitched it together.

I love that it’s simple.
I love that it’s clean.
I love that I made it.

Material List:
Water Colour Paper: Canson, Water Colour Paints: Micador,
Doily: D-lish Scraps, Alphas: American Crafts, Binder: Bind It All, Font: Typenoksidi, Other: Machine Stitching
