I Love Stripy Socks

but I do prefer bare feet 

Yesterday Hobart saw the opening of it’s first Cold Rock Ice Creamery
So guess what we did this morning??!!

we have been waiting, salivating (lol) for the shop to open and were not disappointed

For the record I had caramel mudcake ice cream with maltesers and it was DELISH :)

  

Pretzel World also shares the store
Some little people were excited to look through the window as some pretzels were made

I bought 3 different types and we nibbled on them while we drove home
Quite yummy and got 12 thumbs up from us ;)

This afternoon Dave had soccer (draw 2-2)
While he was gone I packed the girls and their bikes into the car and went down to the local bike track

They had lots of fun pedaling and I appreciated the chance to have a walk in the sunshine

They also let me take some photos :)

My sister went home yesterday
I sat in the hospital with her for 4 hours yesterday
Waiting for the Doctor to come and discharge her, as he said he would
Do you think he showed up??
Nup!
So I had to go and Mum picked her up later in the afternoon
She’s back at Mum and Dad’s but still in lots of pain
So we are hoping that settles and things improve
Time will tell

I finally had some time, today, to start some crafty goodness
Made this 8.5x11 page

the rabbits and heart were little extra’s that I received in my etsy order from Mr Rabbit, sir
I just had to use them somewhere, somehow!

I Think We’re Alone Now

To say that this week has been crazy wouldn’t do it justice
To say that this week has been busy wouldn’t do it justice
To say that this week has been full wouldn’t do it justice
To say that this week has been testing wouldn’t do it justice
This week has not been my own
This week has been full of others
This week has been tiring
Sometimes it has been a week where I am so thankful for time spent with others (our wonderful nieces who I am now calling the M&Ms)
Sometimes it has been a week where I had no time to breathe
Sometimes it has been a week where I had blessed time to sit with my sister in the hospital
Sometimes it has been a week where I just wanted to crawl away and have noone bother me
And that would mean disguising myself, wouldn’t it??
and these were perfect for just that

well, we thought so
and we wore them all over the place



to school

to the shop

and even the M&Ms wore them to the hospital to surprise their Mum :)
I just love things that add a bit of fun to someone’s day :)

I didn’t bake them
Haven’t had time to be at home let alone bake :)
My sister had a blocker today, for the pain caused by a bulged disc in her back, and should be going home tomorrow
Other than all of that I can’t think of what’s been happening
I’m just exhausted from the week
From the hospital visits
From looking after 2 more rabbits, who were good good good and I found out that getting 6 ready in the mornings is not much different from getting 4 ready :)
From all the normal activities our week provides

Looking forward to life slowing down a notch next week, well back to normal lol
Looking forward to a sunny day tomorrow, if the weather man gets his forecast right lol
Looking forward to the weekend
Looking forward to some just us family time, some QUIET just us family time :)

I Think Ice Cream Tastes Better When You Eat It With Those You Love

What a day today has been

Lucy had a birthday party to attend

was proud of her writing

 

she wrote each of the letters, as we spelled the words for her, without asking how you write them

Megan showed off what she made yesterday

her own puppet theatre
Complete with scenery to change as well as puppets

While we waited for Lucy’s party to finish we wandered around
Here are just 2 of the things we spied

and then we went here

squished our noses on the window

went inside to drool some more

before making our selection and enjoying

we then spent some time in the park where “the blue slide is awesome”

A good day but sadly for the wrong reasons
My sister has, what we hope is just, a slipped disc and is spending the night in hospital
Tonight we have a house full of precious little girls :)

I finished off a page today for the new challenge site The Color Room
Each week they will inspire you with a new colour combination, and a sketch which you don’t have to use.
The first challenge is up and I couldn’t say no :)

I Sometimes Wish I Could Drop Everything And Get Crafty

but life doesn’t allow me that privilege often
So I make do watching them

and let a list of crafty-ness develop in my head
And tackle that list, with gratefulness, when I can :)

I Often Wonder What Other Families Do Before 8am

because ours are often into the thick of it around that time
This morning was no exception
Dave was off to work, driving up North, before 7am 
and by 8am there was a big mess all over the kitchen table :)

One of the things Lucy made was a telescope, the green cellophane, in the photo, was used to cover one end  
More on that later :)
This morning we also had some visitors

here we are enjoying jelly in a cone while my sister was off at a dental appointment :)

Now remember that telescope?
Well it made it’s way outside
As things do
And I spied it while I had my camera
I took off the cellophane and put the tube over my lens to capture these

there were other photos but the camera had a problem focusing on what was outside the tube :)
I also got creative in a scrappy way
and made this

Picked up Megan this afternoon and Jessica has gone to Mum and Dads for a while
Soon be Monday and back to school :(
Dave got back tonight after 7 and we have since had dinner and I think my coffee is now ready so
