This week my Polka Dot Whimsy Design Team kit turned up
February’s kit is called “Moments and Wishes”
And I got busy with all the goodies the kit contained
Will show you some of my creations in this post and some in my next post
First cab off the rank… My little shoe tier

Last week Elizabeth tied her shoes all by herself for the very first time
Big milestone worthy of a page
and a knot, or two

and a flag proclaiming something wonderful

hmmmm love tags, did I already tell you that??
So made my own out of some of the pattern paper and used a letter ‘o’ as a reinforcer

OK on to the second layout
This was also a moment that happened last week
But happens ALL THE TIME!!!

Cut up some of the Fancy Pants pattern paper and slipped in my photo

Misted over some of the Jenni Bowlin chipboard butterflies and over the Pink Paislee lettering

and used some of the notepaper, in the kit, to add my journaling

and layout number three
Well these photos have been waiting a little while

Love the Epiphany Crafts products that were in the kit
Pulled some of the felt flowers and layered them up with some of the vintage settings and a button

looped some Jenni Bowlin banner stickers over some string

I made the title by using some of the Pink Paislee lettering
tracing around them, onto Jenni Bowlin pattern paper, before cutting them out

and I added some journaling

Last thing to share now is a card I made

The Monkeys Stand For Honesty

A layout
Suzie, from Love Scrappin’, sent some yummy goodies from the Pink Paislee Father Christmas range
I had to make a layout and use a technique with paper
This is the page I made

I made some paper scrolls and tied it all up with string

I’d seen this technique a few times, on other people’s work, and really wanted to try it out
Was super easy and I just love it on this page

One of the coolest things about the Pink Paislee range are all the gorgeous prints you can cut out

Did I say gorgeous?!

So how did you go with guessing what we did today?
Yesterday we took Megan and Jessica for another holiday at Poppy’s house
So today the younger 2 and I went for a drive
We went to Zoo Doo
and got to see lots of animals
like emus and ostriches

llamas and camels

 

deer and wallabies

snakes and tigers

miniature ponies and white lions

and as you can see we got to feed some
But there is one photo I haven’t shown you
I’m saving that one for a layout and hope to share that, and the story, soon

I Do Appreciate You Being Round

Suzie, from Love Scrappin’,  sent me some of the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Togetherness range
She then set a challenge
a little recipe for us to follow
we had to create using:

one word heading
1 to 4 photos
a banner on your page
buttons
handmade tag with written journaling
handmade flower
paint or glimmermist
stamping

So I created this page

Choices

While we were away Megan decided to get her ears pierced
actually she had decided ages before that
BUT kept changing her mind
So on Jessica’s birthday we were browsing the shops
We went in to some pharmacies and asked how much etc
Arm ourselves with some more information to make some choices
and this is what she chose

I used the photo and opportunity to scrap a page
