She Didn’t Let Us Down

Spring came upon us and she was glorious.

First of the month, change of season and my last kit for Scrap-n-Crop
12 months since Project Scrapaway and the amazing opportunity to be part of Scrap-n-Crop’s kit Design team

With the the September kit I made 3 layouts for Dave’s Mum, they are journal free so she can add her own and we will take them over to her when we leave on Thursday

Firstly is this page of her Aunt and Uncle

Made the flowers by cutting circles from some of the paper and material and just stitching around them

and I stamped a place for some journaling

This page is of Dave’s cousin’s wedding

used the rubons, glimmer misted over the top and then cut out the title

Love this trim, its very yummy

and my final layout is of Dave’s Mum and her older sister

also used the kit to make a journal

and a magnetic shopping list holder

Enjoyed the colour mix in the kit, just beautiful
Am sad that my Design Team stint is over but looking forward to what may lay ahead as new opportunities come up, none yet though lol

Today Lucy and I enjoyed the sunshine around home and cleaned the inside of the car, another job off my to-do-before-we-go list

I also scrapped this page using a photo, taken of Grandma with the girls in Launceston, from January this year

Glimmer misted some hearts onto some brown paper, used some paints

and correction pen with my sharpie :) :) :)

He Listened To My Wishes

Not those types
But the prayerful types
The ones I was wishing for last week
Because this week has been full of sun, well almost full lol, and Elizabeth has settled down AND today said goodbye at the door AND went to the window to wave AND did not shed one tear NOT ONE!!!
Just makes me wonder what was going on last week BUT not thinking too hard about that because I am enjoying this week :)

So we have been enjoying the sunshine, when Lucy and I have been around home, cos this is our busy week, and I took these photos yesterday while we were out in the backyard

Well assuming there will be if this, below, keeps happening there might not be so many….

Yep she climbed the tree, bounced on the trampoline… did all the things we haven’t been able to do in a while because of the rain

It’s been “going to be mowed” in a while but the weekends have been either busy or rained out!

Was nice to just bask in the sunshine

  

and spying my first tulip for the year, NICE indeed!!!!

What other news…
*Dave came home for lunch today, ME LIKEY :)
*Megan has been doing the ‘growing up’ program at school and it’s all interesting… I know why they think it’s good to have kids aware of such stuff but when you have a kid who thinks too much… well it’s interesting lol
*Jessica gets enrolled in Guides next week, she is excited, being she thought it was happening 2 weeks ago lol, and is loving the social side but not the late nights, which is funny cos she is only going to bed an hour and half later than normal but YOU CAN NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE!!
*Not long till we go away, YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY

Haven’t been doing anything creative, seems like forever but it isn’t, and when I have had time to do anything I have been plodding along with my last Scrap-n-Crop kit
The September one is my last, it’s been a whole 12 months since Project Scrap-Away, so my time on the DT commitment with Scrap-n-Crop is up
Sad but open to the ‘something new’ that may come along

Also today I made a decision
I have started uploading work to my SIS gallery again
It’s been over 12 months since I did and I am still wresting with myself as to what ‘capacity’ I use the gallery but I just miss being encouraged and inspiring others seems easier when you have a defined gallery so I am taking my work on the road, so to speak, and will see how that one goes.
Right-oh am off now to make my man a coffee and see if he will come nuggle on the couch for a while :) :)

My Day Runneth Over

It was a slightly full day, as you will see…

* 2 games of soccer at 9am, so Dave took Megan to her game while the rest of us headed to Jessica’s

*It blew a gale, rained and we even saw some sleet while we were at soccer

*Came home and made some of these, to warm us up, they were meant to be cheese and chive scones but I found a fantastic Cinnamon scroll recipe instead, and we all love cinnamon in this house!

*Those didn’t last long, the recipe made 20+ little ones, they were gobbled up and enjoyed by all :)

*Dave left for his soccer game after lunch and us girls headed to the supermarket so we could get the ingredients for a cake Elizabeth and I were making, her reward for another 5 stars on her Big and Brave chart

*We cooked a cherry berry cake

*After putting it the oven, for the 65-75 minute baking, I took Elizabeth’s temperature. She hadn’t been feeling well most of the day, complaining of belly and head aches. Her temp was 38 so I gave her some panadol and rang the swine flu hotline. The lady was lovely and told me to go to the GP, just to be sure. So I packed the 4 girls into the van and headed to the after hours Dr, after turning the oven off with the cake still needing 20+ minutes to go. The GP didn’t think it was swine flu but we will see how Elizabeth progresses and hopefully she will pick up soon :)

*Came home, turned the oven back on, and was cooking dinner when Dave got home from his game. The cake took longer than it should have but we ate a slice, warm, for dessert :)

So that was my Saturday, hoping to have a bath in a minute and then watch some telly while I nuggle Dave on the couch, nice way to end the day!

Poppy Had A Little Lamb

It made the children laugh and play

to see a lamb at our house :)

No that’s not beer it’s special milk, for the lamb, that Dad brought with him so the girls could feed her.
Well Dad survived ;)
The girls were wonderfully good :)
Elizabeth got upset when it was time for us to go, which them made Lucy cry, but I talked to them and they were good when we left, yay :)
Our team came last in the quiz night so we came home with 4 lollipops, just perfect if you ask me lol

A new week about to dawn and it’s going to be another busy one, with Dave out a few nights and away another.

Oh So Hot Summer

No not here, it’s cold and wet today lol

It’s the name of the July kit at Scrap-n-crop :)

For this page I used some of the Pink Paislee as masks and then doodled around the outline, this page is now one of my faves :)
