Sometimes It Is Better Not To Ask…

The new Category Stories challenge is up and I got to play along again, guesting with Q-Tea

So I made this simple page, cut up an Elle Studio tag from Q-tea’s September kit, Tutti Frutti, speaking of which there is a sneak peek up on the blog for the new November kit, Sing a Happy Song

Speaking of soccer today was Jessica’s soccer trophy presentation, she doesn’t look happy but she was :)

Yesterday I spent the morning baking
I made some pumpkin and cinnamon muffins and some choc chip cookies, ready for the cake stall that Church is having tomorrow
Today Jessica helped me make the tags and Megan helped me to put them on the bags

I also took the plunge and entered this, you still have time to take the plunge too as you have till midnight tonight to sign up

I got right onto it and made my page for the first challenge

Made my flower with a glimmer misted doily, corrugated cardboard, sewing pattern paper, denim and a bead

the yellow was scooped back out of the bin, its from the buttons Mum used on a shirt while she was here the other day, she flew out today and we hope to see her, and everyone else, again soon :(

A Bouncy Bouncy Bounce, A Boingy Boingy Boing

This month Q-Tea are sponsoring the Category Stories challenge and the Q-Tea design team have played along
The first challenge prompt is Laugh and here is my take :)

A couple of weekends ago Jessica and I were mucking about, in the backyard, with a bouncy ball and my camera
Used a photo to make a page about how there has been so much ‘stuff’ happening this year and how you do need to bounce back sometimes and laugh :)

Our weekend was a nice one
Lovely spring weather meant we got outside
Dave and I did some gardening
Took this photo so Grandma could see our apricots that had started to form, yay :)

Megan bought her DS outside so she could enjoy the sun too :)

I tried round 2 of the tomatoes, this time with some cream cheese and honey mustard dressing, nice :)

Sunday, after Church, we had lunch with Mum and Dad and then visited Allison and then Uncle Samuel before finally arriving back in town to buy our dinner from here

For some fish and chips :)

These came to see if they could eat too, they missed out from us though lol

after we ate we went for a walk

Megan only had an hour at school today
I think she was tired after a long week, swim carnival and a full weekend
So I went to pick her up at 10 and she spent the day on the couch :)
Hoping she has a restful sleep tonight and is feeling better tomorrow

and will leave you with this piece of news that Elizabeth wrote about at school today

It’s all right…
Except her new cousin was born late yesterday afternoon, Elizabeth didn’t find out till this morning
And
they are living in Darwin at the moment not New Zealand :)
My youngest brother and his wife had the safe arrival of Baby Matilda, making it Granddaughter number 7 for my Mum and Dad :) :) :) Seems we are good at making girls not boys :)

Remembering...

Completed these 2 pages today and the word remember features on both of them so I figure I must be reminiscing a bit today!!



First on for the This is Me challenge, What you want to be when you grow up.




Journaling "I don't ever remember ever having my heart set on 'being' anything. I studied office Admin. because I knew there would be work at the end of it. I tried the Uni thing but it wasn't me. I loved the youth work I did and I know that is where I will end up, somehow, but for now I am loving the most important job in the World, loving you four wonders."

and then this one was for the challenge over at Category Stories to scrap about toys



Journaling "I don't remember having dolls when I grew up. Don't know if it's because I didn't have them but I just don't remember. Our girls will always remember that they had dolls. All sorts! Barbie, Bratz or Polly Pocket, they have them. But our girls have 'boy' stuff too. Tonkas, Hot wheels or farm sets, they will remember them too. Love watching them play and sort of glad they have dolls."

Today we had a visit from Karina (ha see your name in lights now!!) and her 2 boys, was great to see them and we enjoyed having them come visit!!
