Thomas is in the House

This afternoon Dave and the girls got out some of their Thomas the Tank Engine sets and had fun playing.

While they did that I scrapped 2 layouts. This one for a challenge over at Scrap Dragons where you had to do a Music inspired layout. This one is using the Jack Johnson Song Better Together.


Then I scrapped this one for the Scrap Mojo challenge, to scrap a resolution you make every year and to use stitching.

The stripy napkin is from the October 'Real Men Drink Tea' kit from Q-Tea.

Took some photos today, enjoying playing with the new camera ;)

Little miss Butter-wouldn't-melt

Someone wasn't too happy about being photographed, until she saw the photos and how grumpy she looked in them, then she offered to do them again... sadly it was bedtime and I didn't take her up on the offer ;)


And Little Miss I-will-have-a-photo-taken-but-there-is-no-way-I-will-look-at-the-camera! Just as well I am wising up to this fact!!

1. I have been a raspberry picker, Office Administrator, camp counsellor, radio announcer and a Youth Worker.

2. I have driven on the left and the right side of the road, legally

3. I have always been able to survive on little sleep, until I had kids now I always lack enough sleep!

4. I have one leg longer than the other

5. I have blue eyes

6. I have always been known to dodge the camera when a photo is being taken, now I don't care.

7. I have always wondered why the sky is blue, as well as other 'interesting' questions :)

Hope the weekend has been a good one for you all, spoke to Jessica this morning and she doesn't want to come home from Mum and Dads!! Hoping we might go get her tomorrow but we will see if I am allowed to lol

An early post...

is a good post right??


Dave left a bit after 5.30 this morning. I was in the shower not long after as all the girls were awake! So if school had started at 6.30am we COULD have been early!!! Everyone was ready way before then.
Scrapped these last night:

Jessica insisted on wearing this 'frilly' shirt, which made her look pale and sick. I asked her why she wanted to wear it, knowing the answer, she said "I like frilly bits".

Then this one of Megan:

And then this one of Lucy. Is for the challenge over at Scrapdragon where you had to use a photo that was out of focus, which this is!

I also scrapped this layout last night.




Is using the challenge sketch at Scrapdragons. Is my first ever layout from a sketch. I found it hard although it came together very quickly. I should have used a smaller format but thought a 12x12 would be better to fit everything on. I really struggle with using someone else's "idea" for my layout. So much rather have the freedom to develop a layout as I go. I liked that this challenge was easy enough to follow and that it brought the layout together quickly. Happy to have started on some of the wedding photos from Saturday!

I also found this challenge site, Category Stories, that will be starting soon. Well worth checking back to in the future!! Looks like fun. I also found a few other challenge blogs and have added them to my side bar if your up for a challenge :)

A few layouts and not much else...

Yep, scrapped last night and completed 4 (!!) layouts.

This one is for a new challenge site Scrap Dragons where you had to use 3 pictures, 2 of layouts and the other of a bag, as inspiration for your layout. So I used the colour from the bag, three photos and the letters on circles from one layout and the placement of the circles from another layout.

This one is for the Aussie Dares Blog where the layout had to be about spirituality.
