Emotion commotion!

Today has been a day with things that made me go oh, things that made me go yeah and things that made me go hmmm (hope your singing the song now!!!)

Ok so let me tell ya about it all!!!

Today Elizabeth had her first 'by herself' session for prekinder, at the school we are at now as we are planning on changing schools next year. She doesn't particularly like the teacher but I thought it a good opportunity to learn that she has to do what the teacher needs her to do and a good opportunity for her to get into the 'seeya Mum' routine. Well that was fine, she didn't bat an eye lid and had a good time. But poor Lucy!! All day she had been saying that she wanted to stay and wasn't happy that Elizabeth was going to be at school without her, not because she wanted to be at school but because she wanted to be with Elizabeth. She didn't' want to say goodbye to Elizabeth, who was really lovely and came and gave her a hug, and she spent the hour at home very very quiet!! I think Lucy and I need some adjusting to the idea of having time without Elizabeth. Those two have such a wonderful relationship and today was a little harder than what it has been like 'letting go' of Megan and Jessica.

Dave was meant to have tonight away but rang, around 3.30, to say he was on his way home YAY!! So that was a good thing and the other HUGE good thing that happened today can be found over at Are you Feeling Groovie? A little while ago lovely Ed emailed me and asked if I would be their Groovie guest for October!! How could I refuse!!!! Is the first time I have been a guest and I love that I was asked!! They are a beautiful bunch of ladies so why not head on over and take up the challenge!!! I did this layout and you will have to go visit the blog to see what the challenge is, lots of fun ;) I did this layout before we went on our holiday and it is about how I was looking forward to spending time together. I used a toilet roll to 'stamp' the felt and I then opened the roll up, painted it all white and used it on the layout.

Today I finished off this page in my This Is Me Journal for the 'quote' challenge.

So that's my day!!! Ups and downs, but not to low ;0) Hope you had a great day and that your downs weren't to low either!

Take care and thanks for visiting!!

PS will have a RAK soon as I am just about to clock up 6,000 visitors and am very thankful for each of you!!

PPS speaking of thankful I updated The Thank You Blog so why not go check that out too! WOW that's a lot of homework!! Let me know how you get on with it all lol

The busy-ness has only just begun!

Phew what a busy day and tomorrow is looking busier lol

Well, Mr Hurly did stay away and I hope he stays that away!! Don't like sick kids!

Today was full on FLAT OUT. Dropping Megan and Jessica off at school before hitting the fruit shop then groceries. ICK. Not long home before it was lunch time and then went to a friends, who had called to say she had been given an excess of bread rolls so I helped her out lol then straight from there to playgroup. When that finished we said Hi to Megan and Jessica before taking their school stuff and leaving them for after school dance. Home for a half hour, waited for Dave to get home and then back to school for Parent/Teacher. Jessica was first cab off the rank and it was nothing but glowing!! She is reading, writing... just being better than expected and doing so very, very well. Megan was next and as expected it was mostly about how Megan rushes, doesn't take care with her work and needs to be concerned with her own things not other people's business... Which is just Megan to a tee lol and has been said every year and she knows it. Apart from that Megan is doing really well, which was good to hear.

On a different note, I scrapped last night. The first layout I thought I would be clever and journal upside down, as that's the theme of the layout lol, so I have included a 2nd photo of it 'upside down' so you can see the journaling without hurting your neck lol

This second one is of Elizabeth and Lucy. Photos taken yesterday. The sun was wonderful and Lucy had gone outside without her shoes and socks on so Elizabeth thought cool and took hers off too! Reminded me of a time when I NEVER wore shoes and socks! Bare foot everywhere... nowadays I have my shoes on till the girls go to bed...

Tomorrow morning I'm off to the hospital with Megan, to see her Dr and hopefully find out the results of her poo sample. I don't think they would have found anything though. Tomorrow night Megan is being enrolled in Guides so its shaping up to be another flat out day.

So because tomorrow is going to be busy I updated The Thank You Blog. This is the layout I used for this month's challenge (which is Health).

Think that's just about it, well it has probably bored you all to tears or off to la la land lol so thanks for dropping by :)

My beautiful girl

I took some photos of Megan this morning, it was freezing outside but she was happy to sit for a few minutes. I hope that one day she sees what I see.

I have just updated the The Thank You Blog with the new challenge for July.

If you'd like to know more, head on over. Hope it inspires you to scrap outside the square.

Everybody's on Holidays

Those are the words of a little song I made up (how strange I hear some of you say and others shaking their heads saying yep that'd be right!!!) and I have been singing that since getting Megan and Jessica from school this afternoon! Sang it as Dave walked in the door and all through making a special holidays tea (chicken rissoles never tasted so good)!

Hey Hey Hey It's winter!!! We had a sprinkle of snow on the mountain overnight just to prove it lol. What I love most about Winter is that it means Spring is just around the corner!! Elizabeth, Lucy and I went and had lunch with Dave at his work today. Elizabeth was VERY happy when I said we could get lunch from the bakery. We had a lovely lunch and I love being able to share it with Dave :)

This morning I updated The Thank You Blog . Shared this layout, as the challenge for June is to create a layout regarding 'a deed'. For more on that why not go have a look, hope it inspires you to create.

Take care and thanks for stopping by :)

2 for Tuesday

2 things : have 2 layouts to share and took 2 girls to playgroup...

Updated The Thank You Blog today. The challenge for this month is to create a layout about who or what inspired you to start scrapbooking. So my layout is a Thank You to Allison (see http://thethankyoublog.blogspot.com for more on that :) ).

Last night I scrapped another layout that has been floating around my head for a long time, spring cleaning my mind!!

Journaling, if you can read it...

This afternoon we had playgroup, the girls loved it, and I was excited to re-meet Karen who is going to be helping with the Thursday sessions (which we will be going to once Elizabeth's speech therapy sessions finish). I met Karen years ago when Megan was a baby. She ran a playgroup we went to and I just loved her. She left, to have her 3rd baby, and then we moved. I 'found' her again when we moved back here, quite by accident, and haven't seen her again. So am excited and can't wait to get to one of the Thursday playgroups!!

Elizabeth's 4th birthday tomorrow so its shaping up to be a super dooper day, hope your Wednesday is too!!

Why do Monday's come around so quickly??

Its not that I don't like Mondays, its just what they symbolise. Dragging yourself out of bed as you realise the alarm has been going for half an hour and IT IS MONDAY MORNING! then rushing around before heading out the door. The fact that there is such a huge length of time between Monday and Friday and yet such a small amount between Friday and Sunday doesn't even bare thinking about!

So I won't! I will go back to a happier time... Saturday night :) I finished the Donut King layout and am happy with how it turned out but not too happy lol

I was blessed to be able to buy the stampers pack from Altogether Scrap THANK YOU DAVE, and we picked that up this afternoon on the way to pick up Megan. I love all the stamps, and ribbon, paint and ink but ohhhh the stamps! Have admired them on other peoples layouts for a long time so am sooo happy to be able to get my own! Can't wait to use them! Allison has new packs for April coming on the site soon so make sure you have a little looksee at this month's packs. Love them all!!!

Megan had a fun time with Mum and Dad at their shack. She got to see penguins, catch some fish and this star fish. He fell apart so we had to put him back together for the photo (yes the gross job was given to me!!).

She didn't really want to go in the boat this time but was brave and enjoyed it.

Tonight I updated The Thank You Blog. Come on over and have fun with this month's challenge. Here is my layout, I love seeing the washing hung out and often wonder when my full basket in the morning will have grown to 2 baskets full because everyone has grown so much!

Take care and hope you had a lovely April Fool's Day. I know Megan did! Her and Poppy were fooling each other all day and Megan was delighted to share her 'bottle of lemonade' with her sisters when we turned up. The look on her face and then the scream of APRIL FOOL as they drank the water was priceless!!

Yay to visitors

they made the day go by so much quicker!!!
Allison and 4 of her day care kids came to visit today, was great to have them here.
Then Mum came for an hour or so, the girls swamped her!!!
Ok so here's another thought I have put into action.
