Is it ever quiet at your place??

Gosh it's noise here! Megan, Jessica and Lucy are playing cubby house with blankets, sheets, cushions, fold out chairs and the kitchen table. Lucy has her bed on top of the table and by crickey they are a noisy bunch! Elizabeth is still at Mum and Dad's, she requested 2 sleeps so we will pick her up tomorrow.

Today is Grand Final day for the Aussie Rules Football. Lucy has been wearing a Port beanie all day!!

Yesterday the girls had 'dress up for final day' at school. Jessica went dressed in Geelong colours (her teacher is a Cats supporter so 'brainwashed' Jessica lol) and Megan in Port Adeliade colours.

Dave is watching it on telly and the girls are floating, commenting on how boring it is lol He now has them standing for the National Anthem (too funny lol)

Sydney, Scrapping and Stuff

I AM OFF TO SYDNEY!!! Booked my tickets this afternoon, Dave is heading over for a seminar so I get to tag along!! Now waiting for his tickets to be booked through work and then it's roll on November!!
Last night I scrapped.Did this layout for the One Little Word Challenge. I missed the last one so it was good to join in the fun again. The word for this challenge was PERFECT.

I also did 2 journal entries in my This Is Me Journal, trying to catch up with the challenges there. So I did the Fears challenge

and the fave funny person one.

Will go back and do the 'Today I love' page and I have started the quote one.

Today we have just hung out at home. Mum is meant to be calling in and Elizabeth is going to have a 'holiday' at Poppy's house, hoping Mum gets here before we have to go get Megan and Jessica from school but she wasn't hopeful. Is cold, wet and windy outside. What is it like where you are?? Thanks for visiting and have a fun day :)

Another load of randomness!!

Been busy running around. Yesterday we had our first 'dis fluency' group. This first session was meant for parents only but I took Elizabeth and Lucy with me. It was an introduction to what we would be doing in each session and an overview of why people stutter and what we need to do to help Elizabeth talk more clearly. they had set up a little table, off to the side for Elizabeth and Lucy, with pencils, paper, puzzles and some book, and they were such wonderful girls that it wasn't till near the end before they started getting bored and wanting my attention.

Home for lunch and then off to playgroup in the afternoon. They got to make Elephant ears. Elizabeth loved hers so much she wore then eating tea and Dave said she put them back on after her bath!!

Megan had Guides lastnight so it was grocery shopping for me!

Today we had playgroup in the morning and they got to make bunny ears.

I also took some photos of the 3 tulips we have out at the moment, seems our bulbs just don't like it here as we haven't had many bloom!

We were all set to go visit Allison for the day tomorrow, but she is running a fever so we are staying away. Hope your better soon!

Not much else, so thanks for visiting :)

PS for Grandma, got your mail today. Thanks for the CD photos are now loaded on computer. Elizabeth got her 'chips' and said "OH THANK YOU" whereas Jessica got her pen and said "about time".... I reminded her that it was her that lost it and that it was you who found it and returned it... Thank you on behalf of them both :)

My life in randomness

Have not much to share about the day so took some photos which I will share to show parts of my day, the sights that greeted me today, well some of them :)

Someone was waiting near the toilet... not sure if she need to go or not but I went in before her, I figured I need to go more than she!

Jessica has a habit of taking her shoes off at the door. Sadly it's her bedroom door and I just don't get why she can't walk the little walk to the wardrobe and put them away! There are often 2-3 pairs just inside her door.
Megan's wardrobe, on the other hand, has no room for shoes!
Ended the day with some candle light. Bron called in for a little visit and gave the girls some of the floating candles she had left over from the wedding. Was nice to see MRS SMITH!!

Our 'photo wall' is still waiting for me to add more frames and photos but I love walking past just so I can look!

And that, my friends, is that. As always, thanks for visiting :)

It's such a shame

but it feels like school holidays never happened! Back into the school routine and it feels like it never stopped! Both girls enjoyed school, even though Megan 'hated' being there...

Elizabeth, Lucy and I both enjoyed pre-kinder this afternoon. They got to make pirate hats and eye patches. I love Elizabeth's stance in this photo, looks very pirate-y don't you think!

and this one of Lucy looks like she is saying Arrrr, just like a pirate!!

Last night I finally completed this layout of Jessica. The colour combo I used is a little different and slowly growing on me... Yep, it was a creation that just happened (that's me though!).

I used the material from the Q Tea Springtime Garden Party Kit

In some exciting online news I found my blog linked Here at the Tasmania Blog I thought that was pretty cool!

And found out about a new challenge blog that is starting soon, Scrappin Kids where they will give you a monthly topic to encourage you to scrap more of your little ones. Looking forward to seeing the creations on this one. Thanks Liza for the info :)

And just wanted to say a quick CONGRATS to Elizabeth who has just been 'crowned' Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooker of the Year. Can't wait to see more of her work!

Think that's it... Thanks for visiting

My girls are home

They had a great time with Mum and are all now tucked up in bed ready for the new school term tomorrow, even Elizabeth, Lucy and I have pre-kinder in the afternoon. Grandma, we had pizza for our end-of-holiday-tea :)

Last night Dave and I went out for tea, VERY yummy Indian this time. We got to see the smoke from the fire in town, the Myer building caught on fire and has been completely gutted. There was even ash on the car when we went home.

Got home around 7.30pm so I scrapped these 2 layouts.

This one is for the challenge happening over at Everyday Garbage. You have to use things from the kitchen.

So I used some paper towel, a Time Out wrapper, a piece from the 'shopping list' pad on the fridge, some cardboard and ripped up a pink shopping bag. Love this type of scrapping ;)

I then scrapped this layout of Megan and used the patty pans from the chocolates Dave and I bought last night on our way home, yummy!!

Then today, because we didn't get the girls till after lunch I scrapped this layout of Elizabeth.

And I have another I am still working on, of Jessica. Silly me decided to do some hand stitching!! Taking forever :)

Well people, I hope you have a great start to a fantastic week and, as always, thanks for visiting :)

layouts - His and Hers

Thought I would share how Dave and I have been spending our kid-less afternoon.

I completed these three layouts

and Dave completed this one layout (which now has engine and 5 carriages on it) he is itching to put the track around the house...

Spoke to Mum and she is having the girls another night, she didn't ask... it's just the way it is... I'm not going to argue! Love that they can spend time with her. Not sure what we are going to get up to tonight, Dave said I could leave my scrap stuff out, it is sprawled over a couch in the lounge room, and then asked if he could take me out for tea again... I asked where and got told it shouldn't matter.... We will see what happens :)

Yummmmm

Dave and I went out for Mexican last night, too much food!!! We had a lovely selection of 4 dips with corn chips for entree and then I had some chingee changas (chicken) and I was full!!!! Dave had a seafood dish, can't remember what that was called.
On the way home we got some icecream cups from Wendy's and had that in front of the Box, couldn't miss My Robson Green in the new series of Wire in the Blood!!
This morning we didn't wake till almost 8 (see what happens when you have no kids around to wake you lol) and I made Dave breakfast in bed :)

Was yummy :)

Might blog again later, if your lucky lol waiting to hear from Mum as to when she wants us to get the girls.

Thanks for visiting

Holiday Journal

Finally finished off our Holiday Journal last night. Not many photos so had lots of journaling to do to fill the pages. Made it very quick, simple and easy AND only used scraps (love that!!).

Sorry the photos are so small, hope you can get the gist of the journal :)

Tonight the girls are staying with Mum. Dad is away, helping bring a fishing boat over from the Mainland to Tasmania. Dave and I are just contemplating what or where to go for tea.

Hope you all have a lovely evening/day, wherever you are and, as always, thanks for visiting :)

You'd think a boy lived here...

Found this in the bathroom last night, Dave said it was Jessica though but I thought it funny

Elizabeth had speech therapy today. Was her last one on one session for awhile. Next week we start 6 weeks of a group session for her stutter before we get re-assessed in November. When we got home we found this happening on the kitchen table.

All the girls had fun and I think Dave did too ;)

So that was our Thursday. What did you get up to?? Hope it was fun.
Thanks for visiting

Home...

Well, what a time we had!!!

Mum and Dad came and took us to the airport that Friday morning.

Here are the troops waiting at the airport...

We got to Melbourne a little later than scheduled, picked up our lovely Kia Carnival (which only had 12kms on the clock!) and zoomed off to Grandma's house.

We had a lovely time settling in and Saturday we had a little road trip visiting some nearby towns and a park for a play and then a walk. All going dandy till Saturday night when Lucy found that Mr Hurly had joined us on holidays!!!

Sunday Lucy, Dave and I stayed home, after being up most of the night with Lucy, while Grandma took Megan, Jessica and Elizabeth off to Church. Sunday night I was in bed before tea and all this time my throat was raging it's own war and we decided I should go to the Dr. So Monday morning Dave took me to the Dr, I was coughing, vomiting and feeling very blue by now. The Dr informed me that it was a cold and I should REST and not be around the kids... Thankfully, because we were at Grandma's, this was achievable and I went home to bed and stayed there till Tuesday!

Monday night it was Dave and Megan's turn to have a visit from Mr Hurly. We started all getting colds about this time too.

Wednesday I finally ventured out, even if it was just a short trip to the Mall and back, and I finally started eating again!

Thursday we thought we would make the most of the day and went to Sovereign Hill, it was a very windy day so we only stayed for the morning.

Friday we headed off to Melbourne, with Grandma, for the night. We shopped all day and then Saturday we drove to the Market, parked the car, walked around, caught some trams and went to the Aquarium.

After that we walked a little more, had some lunch and then caught a tram back to the car before heading home. Poor Elizabeth was so tired and worn out she would lie down on any chair she passed and eyed off those that she wasn't allowed to get to. Around 7.30pm that night we took her to the Dr too and found her ear was inflamed and she started on some antibiotics.

Sunday we went with Grandma to Church and Monday we took Megan and Jessica out to spend their holiday money. Tuesday we flew home again.

So now we are all recuperating (as are Grandma and Grandpa who also have this icky cold) before School goes back on Monday.

Today Dave mowed the lawns, is amazing how much they grew while we were away, and the girls spent loads of time outside enjoying the sunshine. Summer is certainly on its way!

Thanks everyone who visited my lil' ol' blog while we were away and a bigger thank you to those that left comments :) Hugs to you all!!!!!!!

Started a Holiday journal while we were away, but that stopped once I felt so tired and drained from this flu. Will show you all when it's finished, which hopefully won't be too long away!!

Take care and, as always, thanks for visiting :)
